"Since inhibition is the simplest mechanism used for mitigating the corrosion of metals and alloys, particularly in acidic environments, the present work aims to investigate the inhibiting effect of N-benzyl-N?-phenyl thiourea (BPTU) and N-cyclohexyl-N?-phenyl thiourea (CPTU) on mild steel corrosion in 0.1M HCl medium using the Tafel extrapolation technique. Tafel experiments were conducted with ±250 mV vs. rest potential (RP) in steps of 20 mV from the cathodic side for recording the corrosion currents, and then, the Tafel plot of potential vs. current was drawn for determining the corrosion current density (icorr). The linear polarization method was also used for validating the Tafel results. It was performed by polarizing the specimen with ±20 mV vs. RP in steps of 5 mV, and the corrosion currents were noted. The plot of potential vs. current was drawn for calculating icorr. The study reveals that both BPTU and CPTU act as anodic inhibitors for mild steel in the HCl medium, and good inhibition efficiency (>97%) was evidenced from both the compounds even at elevated temperatures. The study also reveals that the investigated compounds get adsorbed quickly on the steel surface, following Temkin’s adsorption isotherm. The kinetic parameters obtained from the study indicated that the inhibition was governed by a chemisorption mechanism and the presence of inhibitors substantially reduced the metal dissolution in the studied temperature range. The investigation shows that there was a good correlation between the Tafel extrapolation and linear polarization results."

"ABSTRAK
Perkembangan komputer yang pesat memberikan dampak yang besar untuk menyelesaikan persoalan-persoalan pada bldang iimu Perpindahan Kalor dan Mekanika Fluida. Salah satu persoalan Perpindahan Kalor yang dapat diselesaikan dengan komputer adalah penentuan nilai koefisien konveksi dan suhu borongan {Temperatur Bulk).
Pendekatan numerik dilakukan untuk menentukan besarnya nilai koefisien konveksi dan temperatur borongan tersebut dengan bantuan persamaan Lapisan Batas (The Boundary Layer Equation} yang mempunyai tiga persamaan awal yaitu persamaan kontinuitas, persamaan momentum dan persamaan energi.
Pendekatan numerik yang dilakukan menggunakan bentuk beda hingga (finite difference) fully explicit untuk menyelesaikan maslaah perpindahan kalor konveksi didalam pipa. Caranya adalah dengan membagi ruang tabung dalam arah aksial dan arah radial, sehingga distribusi air dalam pipa dapat dicari dari satu node ke node lainnya dengan berurutan. Hasil pendekatan numerik yang dilakukan cukup baik, sehingga pendekatan numerik beda hingga fully explicit dapat digunakan untuk menyelesaikan masalah perpindahan kalor konveksi dalam pipa."

"Disertasi ini menelaah mengenai ketaatan dan Coping Mechanism terhadap pembatasan gerak perempuan di rumah tangga. Para perempuan tersebut tergabung dalam Majelis Taklim Jam?iyyat al Nisa (MTJN). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif berupa pengamatan terlibat dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan para perempuan ke MTJN untuk menghindar dari kehidupan rumah tangga yang menekan, bertemu dengan banyak teman yang senasib, dapat sharing, serta melakukan aktivitas yang ?menyenangkan? seperti ikut kampanye-kampanye parpol atau pilkada, mendapat baju muslim, piknik gratis serta bergosip yang terkadang menjatuhkan nama baik suami. Pergi ke MTJN tidak menyelesaikan masalah rumah tangga mereka, dan merekapun tidak ingin menggugat cerai, karena kondisi menjadi ?janda? mendapat stigma buruk atau cemoohan sosial di masyarakat Tangerang yang berbudaya patriarki. Sebagian besar jemaah menggunakan majelis taklim secara absah sebagai coping mechanism, pelepas penat dan stres yang diakibatkan oleh kehidupan rumah tangga budaya patriarki - khususnya dalam hal hubungan suami-istri yang menekan.

This dissertation analyzes the obedience and coping mechanism under the restriction of women?s role in domestic sphere. These women are members of Jam?iyyat al-Nisa Assembly of Muslim (Majelis Taklim Jam?iyyat al-Nisa ? MTJN). This research is conducted using qualitative method, namely direct observation and in-depth interview. The result of the research shows that these women join MTJN to get away from their repressing domestic life, to meet friends with the same experience, to share their stories, and to do ?fun? activities like joining the campaign of political parties or local elections, getting Islamic clothing and free picnic, as well as gossiping which some times could lead to the embarrassment of their husband. Going to MTJN does not solve their problems, but they are not going to file for a divorce for afraid of the negative "stigma" of becoming a widow or the social mockery which is common in the Tangerang patriarchal society. Most of Jam?iyyat al-Nisa members use the assembly of Muslim as their legitimate coping mechanism and stress release particularly in the subordinate husband-wife relationship.

"ABSTRAK
Meningkatnya persaingan bisnis memotivasi perusahaan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan mengantisipasi ketidakpastian dalam aktivitas rantai pasok. Untuk dapat survive dalam lingkungan bisnis yang kompetitif, sangat penting bagi perusahaan untuk memiliki manajemen risiko rantai pasok yang tepat. Fokus manajemen risiko rantai pasok adalah memahami dan mencoba untuk meminimalisir efek gangguan bisnis yang mungkin terjadi pada aktivitas rantai pasok. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengembangan metode House of Risk HOR yang terbukti merupakan suatu pendekatan proaktif yang dapat memitigasi risiko yang terjadi. Namun, HOR masih memiliki beberapa kelemahan diantaranya belum adanya pembobotan bagi masing-masing kejadian risiko sehingga memungkinkan terjadi bias, belum adanya pengujian korelasi antar kejadian risiko dan korelasi antar sumber risiko. Salah satu metode yang dapat dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut adalah Analytical Hierarchy Process AHP yang dapat membantu memberikan proporsi berbeda pada masing-masing kriteria maupun kejadian risiko dan adanya penambahan top roof atap atas dan side roof atap samping untuk membantu memberikan korelasi yang dibutuhkan.

ABSTRACT
Increased business competition motivates companies to improve efficiency and anticipate uncertainty in supply chain activity. In order to survive in a competitive business environment, it is imperative for a company to have an appropriate supply chain risk management. The focus of supply chain risk management is to understand and try to minimize the possible business interruption effects on supply chain activity. In this research, the House of Risk HOR method was developed which proved to be a proactive approach that can mitigate the risks. However, HOR still has several weaknesses such as lack of weighting for each risk occurrence to allow for bias, no correlation test between risk events and correlation among source of risk. One method that can be done to solve the problem is Analytical Hierarchy Process AHP which can help to give different proportions on each criterion or risk occurrence and the addition of top roof and side roof to help provide Correlation required."
