"Siswa SMA sudah perlu menentukan berbagai keputusan dalam hidupnya, salah satunya adalah terkait karier di masa depan. Penentuan rencana karier masa depan pada siswa SMA dimulai memilih jurusan perkuliahan yang diminati. Namun, masih banyak siswa SMA yang mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukannya atau yang bisa disebut mengalami career decision-making difficulties. Berbagai penelitian terdahulu telah menemukan berbagai faktor yang memengaruhi career decision-making difficulties, salah satunya adalah perceived parental expectation. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara perceived parental expectation dan career decision-making difficulties pada siswa SMA Negeri di Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, dan Bekasi (Jabodetabek). Instrumen pengukuran yang digunakan adalah Career Decision-making Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ) dan Perception of Parental Expectation (PPE). Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 193 siswa SMA kelas 1, 2, dan 3 yang bersekolah di wilayah Jabodetabek (Perempuan = 72.5%, Laki-laki = 25.4%, Mean usia = 17.03). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perceived parental expectation dan career decision-making difficulties memiliki korelasi yang positif dan signifikan. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bagi berbagai pihak yang berhubungan dengan siswa SMA terkait pemilihan jurusan kuliah, seperti pihak sekolah dan juga orang tua, dengan memberikan gambaran terkait hubungan antara perceived parental expectation dan career decision-making difficulties pada siswa SMA.

High school students need to make various decisions in their lives, especially related to their future careers. Determining future career plans for high school students begins with choosing the college major they want to pursue. However, there are still many high school students who have difficulties in choosing their college major, which can be called experiencing career decision-making difficulties. Previous studies have found various factors that influence career decision-making difficulties, including perceived parental expectation. Therefore, this study examines the relationship between perceived parental expectation and career decision-making difficulties in public high school students in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek). The measuring instruments used are Career Decision-making Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ) and Perception of Parental Expectation (PPE). The participants in this study were 193 high school students in grades 1, 2, and 3 who attended public schools in Jabodetabek area (Female = 72.5%, Male = 25.4%, Mean age = 17.03).Results show that there is a significant positive correlation between perceived parental expectation and career decision-making difficulties among high school students in Jabodetabek. The results of the study are expected to be useful for various parties related to high school students' selection of college majors, such as the school and also parents, by providing an overview of the relationship between perceived parental expectation and career decision-making difficulties among high school students."

"Kesulitan dalam pengambilan keputusan karier merupakan salah satu kesulitan yang sering dialami oleh siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) dalam membuat keputusan terkait jurusan kuliah. Kesulitan dalam memilih jurusan kuliah yang dialami oleh siswa dapat menyebabkan siswa mengambil keputusan secara tidak optimal. Beberapa penelitian terdahulu menemukan bahwa kesulitan dalam pengambilan keputusan karier dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya core self-evaluation. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara core self-evaluation dan career decision-making difficulties pada siswa SMA kelas 10, 11, dan 12 yang bersekolah di wilayah Jabodetabek. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Career Decision-making Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ) dan Core Self-Evaluation Scale (CSES). Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 195 siswa SMA (Laki-laki = 25.6%; Perempuan = 71.8%; Mean Usia = 17.05; SD Usia = 0.86). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi negatif dan signifikan antara core self-evaluation dan career decision-making difficulties pada siswa SMA, r(195) = -0.36, p < 0.01, one-tailed, r² = 0.13. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran bagi siswa mengenai pentingnya melakukan penilaian diri secara positif dalam membuat keputusan karier dan bagi pihak sekolah untuk membentuk program preventif terkait kesulitan dalam pengambilan keputusan karier.

Career decision-making difficulties are often experienced by high school students in making decisions regarding college majors. Difficulties in choosing college majors experienced by students can cause students to make decisions that are not optimal. Several previous studies have found that career decision-making difficulties are influenced by various factors, one of which is core self-evaluation. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the relationship between core self-evaluation and career decision-making difficulties among high school students in grades 10, 11, and 12 who attend school in Jabodetabek area. This research is quantitative research with a correlational research design. The measurement tools used are Career Decision-making Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ) and Core Self-Evaluation Scale (CSES). The participants in this study were 195 high school students (Male = 25.6%; Female = 71.8%; Mean Age = 17.05; SD Age = 0.86). This study results indicate a negative and significant correlation between core self-evaluation and career decision-making difficulties among high school students, r(195) = -0.36, p < 0.01, one-tailed, r² = 0.13. The research results are expected to provide students with an overview of the importance of positive self-evaluation in making career decisions and for schools to form preventive programs related to career decision-making difficulties."

"pada kesuksesan kariernya di masa depan. Pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Indonesia, sulitnya mengambil keputusan karier lebih disebabkan karena kurangnya informasi. Peran dan keterlibatan orang tua pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir, khususnya di budaya kolektivis, berpengaruh terhadap perilaku anak dalam mencari informasi mengenai karier dan hal ini berdampak pada tingkat kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier anak karena kurangnya informasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat peran career exploration dalam memediasi hubungan antara support dan interference parental career-related behavior dengan lack of information career decision-making difficulties pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian non-eksperimental. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 413 mahasiswa tingkat akhir dari beberapa fakultas di Universitas Indonesia. Support dan interference parental career-related behavior diukur dengan Parental Career-Related Behavior Instrument (Dietrich & Kracke, 2009), career exploration diukur dengan Career Exploration Survey (Stumpf, Colarelli, & Hartman, 1983), dan lack of information career decision-making difficulties diukur dengan Career Decision-Making Difficulties Questionnaire (Gati & Saka, 2001). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa career exploration berperan secara parsial dalam memediasi hubungan antara support dan interference parental career-related behavior dengan lack of information career decision-making difficulties pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi bahwa perilaku orang tua terkait karier anak yang dirasa mendukung (support) atau terlalu banyak mengatur (interference) dapat berpengaruh terhadap perilaku mahasiswa tingkat akhir dalam mencari informasi mengenai karier sehingga berdampak pada tingkat kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier mahasiswa karena kurangnya informasi. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini memberikan beberapa manfaat bagi pusat pengembangan karier di perguruan tinggi.

The difficulties of career decision-making among senior year college student could have impact their future career success. In Indonesia, The difficulties of career decision-making among senior year college student are more caused by lack of information. The parents role and involvement among senior year college student, especially in collectivism culture, could affect their childrens behavior in searching information about career and this could have impacts to their career decision-making difficulties that caused by lack of information. This research was conducted to find the role career exploration in mediating the relationship between support and interference parental career-related behavior with lack of information career decision-making difficulties on senior year college student. This research is quantitative study with non-experimental study design. Participants of this research were 413 senior year college students from several faculties in Universitas Indonesia. Support dan interference parental career-related behavior were measured by Parental Career-Related Behavior Instrument (Dietrich & Kracke, 2009), career exploration was measured by Career Exploration Survey (Stumpf, Colarelli, & Hartman, 1983), and lack of information career decision-making difficulties were measured by Career Decision-Making Difficulties Questionnaire (Gati & Saka, 2001). The result shows that career exploration mediating partially the relationship between support and interference parental career-related behavior with lack of information career decision-making difficulties on senior year college student. This research has implication that parents behavior that related to childrens career which is perceived supporting or interfering affects senior year college students behavior in searching information about career so that gives impact on their level of career decision-making difficulties that caused by lack of information. Moreover, the results of this study give some benefits for career development center in university."

"Dengan adanya perubahan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan 2013 mengenai penjurusan pada saat kelas satu sekolah menengah akhir, siswa kelas 9 sekolah menengah pertama diharapkan sudah memiliki gambaran terkait pilihan jurusan di sekolah menengah pertama. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan adaptabilitas karir yang baik pada siswa kelas 9 sekolah menengah pertama.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan antara ekspektasisiswa SMP kelas 9 terhadap peran kakek-nenek dan adaptabilitas karier.
Peneliti melakukan pengambilan data kepada 66 siswa SMP kelas 9 di Jakarta dan Depok. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk adaptabilitas karier adalah Career Adapt-Ability Scale International-Form CAAS-IF dari Savickas dan Porfeli 2012, sedangkan alat ukur peran kakek-nenek adalah Expectation of Grandparent Scale dari McFadden 2001.
Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan hubungan positif dan signifikan antara ekspektasi siswa SMP kelas 9 terhadap peran kakek-nenek dan adaptabilitas karier r = 0,360, p < 0,05 . Hubungan tersebut menjelaskan semakin besar ekspektasi siswa SMP kelas 9 terhadap peran kakek-nenek, semakin baik pula adaptabilitas karier siswa. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk mengedukasi orangtua bahwa peran kakek-nenek penting untuk adaptabilitas karier anak.

The changing of government policy based on Ministry of National Education 2013 about high school major for 10th grade high school students, 9th grade junior high school students are expected to have an overview of major selection in high school level. Thus, a good career adaptability is required for those students. This study was conducted to see the relationship between the expectations of 9th grade of junior high school students on the role of grandparents and career adaptability.
The researcher conducted data collection for 66 students in 9th grade of junior high school students from Jakarta and Depok. The measuring tool used for career adaptability is the Career Adapt Ability Scale International Form CAAS IF from Savickas and Porfeli 2012 , while the grandparent 39 s measuring instrument is the Expectation of Grandparent Scale from McFadden 2001.

"Siswa kelas 10 SMA dituntut untuk memilih jurusan yang pertama kali. Jika siswa salah memilih, dampaknya kedepannya siswa dapat merasa salah jurusan yang akhirnya dapat mengganggu produktifitas dan kesehatan mental. Dengan demikian, memilih pilihan karier pertama bagi siswa adalah hal yang sulit. Siswa membutuhkan dukungan sosial pihak eksternal untuk dapat mengatasi masalah kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier dan adaptabilitas karier. Salah bentuk dukungan sosial yang dapat diberikan adalah intervensi karier dengan pendekatan pemrosesan informasi kognitif dan siklus belajar Kolb. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengembangan intervensi karier STAR terhadap penurunan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier dan peningkatan adaptabilitas karier siswa kelas 10 SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian cross-sectional dengan metode kuantitatif quasi-eksperimen two group pre-test-post-test design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria subjek siswa SMA kelas 10 dan berada pada rentang usia 14-17 tahun. Peneliti mendapatkan 110 sampel dari dua sekolah berbeda. Analisis data menggunakan Paired Sample T-Test, MANOVA, dan Regresi Linear. Hasil penelitian ini adalah intervensi karier STAR dapat menurunkan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier dan meningkatkan adaptabilitas karier secara konsisten pada siswa kelas 10 SMA. Selain itu, setelah pemberian intervensi karier STAR, ditemukan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier memprediksi adaptabilitas karier. Intervensi karier STAR dalam penelitian ini dapat diterapkan oleh psikolog sekolah / guru BK / konselor pada umumnya.
..... Grade 10 high school students are required to choose their first major. If students make the wrong choice, in the future students may feel that they are in the wrong major which can ultimately interfere with productivity and mental health. Thus, choosing the first career choice for students is a difficult matter. Students need social support from external parties to be able to overcome difficulties in career decision making and career adaptability. One form of social support that can be provided is a career intervention with the cognitive information processing approach and the Kolb learning cycle. This study aims to prove the development of the STAR career intervention to reduce the difficulty of making career decisions and increase the career adaptability of 10th grade students of senior high school. This research is a cross-sectional study with a quasi-experimental quantitative method with a two group pre-test-post-test design. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique with the subject criteria being high school students in grade 10 and being in the age range of 14-17 years. Researchers got 110 samples from two different schools. Data analysis using Paired Sample T-Test, MANOVA, and Linear Regression. The results of this study are that the STAR career intervention can reduce the difficulty of making career decisions and increase career adaptability consistently in 10th grade high school students. In addition, after giving the STAR career intervention, career decision making difficulties can predict career adaptability. The STAR career intervention in this study can be applied by school psychologists / counseling teachers / counselors in general."

"Salah satu hal yang berkaitan dengan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier adalah keyakinan individu dalam melakukan tugas yang diperlukan dalam proses pengambilan keputusan karier (efikasi diri). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier (Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy) dengan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier (Career Decision-Making Difficulties) pada siswa SMA di Jabodetabek. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Short-Form (CDMSE-SF) dan Career Decision Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ). Partisipan penelitian ini berjumlah 198 siswa SMA Negeri di Jabodetabek dengan proporsi 71.7% siswa perempuan, 25.8% siswa laki-laki, dan rata-rata usia 17 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy dengan Career Decision-Making Difficulties pada siswa SMA Negeri di Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi sumber literatur mengenai kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier pada siswa SMA dan memberikan pemahaman mengenai pentingnya efikasi diri dalam proses pengambilan keputusan karier.

One of the factors related to career decision-making difficulties is an individual's belief in their ability to perform the tasks required in the career decision-making process (self-efficacy). This study aims to examine the relationship between Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy and Career Decision-Making Difficulties among high school students in the Jabodetabek area. The measurement instruments used in this study are the Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Short-Form (CDMSE-SF) and the Career Decision Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ). The participants in this study were 198 students from public high schools in the Jabodetabek area, with a proportion of 71.7% female students, 25.8% male students, and an average age of 17 years. The results of the study showed a significant negative relationship between Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy and Career Decision-Making Difficulties among high school students in the Jabodetabek area. This research is expected to serve as a literature source on career decision-making difficulties among high school students and provide an understanding of the importance of self-efficacy in the career decision-making process."

"Siswa SMK yang menjalani kurikulum berorientasi kerja yang dilengkapi kegiatan magang, diharapkan untuk dapat memilih pilihan karir yang sesuai bidang studinya. Walaupun begitu, hasil wawancara awal menunjukkan siswa SMK masih mengalami kesulitan dalam pengambilan keputusan karirnya. Seharusnya melalui pengalaman magang ini siswa SMK memiliki kecerdasan emosional dan goal commitment yang dapat membuat mereka tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam pengambilan keputusan karirnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran goal commitment sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir. Penelitian dilakukan pada satu SMK di Kabupaten Bogor pada 173 partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa goal commitment terbukti berperan sebagai mediator parsial pada hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir. Dalam penelitian ini juga diuraikan mengenai keterbatasan dan saran-saran terkait.

Vocational high school students experienced a specially-designed curriculum with an internship program to accommodate them on transitioning into the working industry. Elicitation studies show that vocational high school students had career decision making difficulties. The internship program is supposed to enrich students’ emotional intelligence and goal commitment that would prevent career decision making difficulties to occur. This research aims to study the mediation effect of goal commitment in the relationship between emotional intelligence and career decision making difficulties. This research is conducted in a vocational high school in Bogor with a total of 173 participants. Result shows that goal commitment plays a partial mediation role in the relationship of emotional intelligence and career decision making difficulties. This research will also present the limitations and suggestions for future study."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara ciri-ciri kecerdasan emosional dengan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir. Mahasiswa tingkat akhir sebagai individu yang berada pada tahap dewasa muda memiliki kebutuhan untuk memutuskan karir. Pengambilan keputusan karir membutuhkan pertimbangan yang kompleks. Pertimbangan yang kompleks membuat proses pengambilan keputusan karir menjadi sulit bagi beberapa mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Pengukuran kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir menggunakan Career Decision Making Failure Questionnaire (CDDQ) yang disusun oleh Gati et al (1996) dan untuk mengukur ciri-ciri kecerdasan emosional menggunakan alat ukur Trait Emotional Intelligence Questinnaire (TEIQue) yang disusun oleh Petrides & Furnham (2003) . Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 123 mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Indonesia. Data penelitian diolah menggunakan teknik product moment Pearson menggunakan software SPSS edisi 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan negatif antara ciri kecerdasan emosional dengan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir. Dengan demikian, semakin baik sifat kecerdasan emosional yang dimiliki mahasiswa tingkat akhir, maka semakin mudah atau rendah kesulitan yang dihadapi mahasiswa tingkat akhir, begitu pula sebaliknya.
This study aims to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence traits and career decision making difficulties. Final year students as individuals who are in the young adult stage have a need to decide on a career. Career decision making requires complex judgment. Complex considerations make the career decision-making process difficult for some final year students. Measurement of career decision making difficulties using the Career Decision Making Failure Questionnaire (CDDQ) compiled by Gati et al (1996) and to measure emotional intelligence characteristics using the Trait Emotional Intelligence Questinnaire (TEIQue) measuring instrument compiled by Petrides & Furnham (2003) . This research was conducted on 123 final year students of the University of Indonesia. The research data was processed using Pearson's product moment technique using SPSS software edition 22. The results showed that there was a significant and negative relationship between the characteristics of emotional intelligence and the difficulty of making career decisions. Thus, the better the nature of emotional intelligence possessed by final year students, the easier or lower the difficulties faced by final year students, and vice versa."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai hubungan antara persepsi siswa terhadap program Bimbingan Konseling (BK) Karir dan adaptabilitas karir pada siswa SMA kelas 3 di Jakarta. Pengukuran persepsi siswa terhadap BK Karir dikembangkan berdasarkan Tujuan BK Karir pada Permendikbud No. 111 Tahun 2014 dan terbagi ke dalam dua aspek yaitu kurikulum BK Karir dan Guru BK. Pengukuran adaptabilitas karir diukur menggunakan Skala Adaptabilitas Karir (Indianti, 2015) yang disesuaikan untuk anak SMA. Partisipan berjumlah 272 siswa SMA yang berasal dari sekolah negeri dan swasta.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara BK Karir yang dipersepsi positif oleh siswa dengan adaptabilitas karir (r = 0,144; p = 0,009; signifikan pada L.o.S 0,01). Artinya semakin tinggi peran BK Karir yang dipersepsi positif oleh siswa, maka semakin tinggi adaptabilitas karirnya. Selain itu, penelitian juga membuktikan bahwa kurikulum karir memiliki koefisien korelasi lebih besar daripada guru BK. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, diharapkan program bimbingan konseling karir di sekolah mampu meningkatkan kualitas kurikulum BK Karir dan guru BK agar siswa tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam memutuskan karir selepas SMA.

This research was conducted to find the correlation between student perception toward Career Counseling program and career adaptability among 3rd grader students in Senior High School in Jakarta. Students? perception in Career Counseling was measured by adapting The Vision of School Counseling Program which stated in Permendikbud No. 111 Tahun 2014 and divided into two aspects which are career curriculum and teacher. Meanwhile career adaptability was measured by Skala Adaptabilitas Karir (Indianti, 2015) which adjusted to high school students. Number of participants in this research was 272 students came from public and private senior high school in Jakarta.
Result of this research shown that career counseling which is perceived positively by students has a correlation with career adaptability (r = 0,144; p = 0,009; significant at L.o.S 0,01). Which means, the higher amount of career counseling perceived positively, the higher career adaptability. Research also found that career curriculum has higher correlation coefficient than teacher. The research result could be used to improve the quality of curriculum and teacher to develop students? career adaptability.

"Dalam proses pemilihan karier, penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa efikasi-diri keputusan karier dapat diprediksi dari gaya berpikir. Namun, efikasi-diri keputusan karier dapat berbeda antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini ingin melihat peran gender sebagai moderator pada hubungan gaya berpikir dengan efikasi-diri keputusan karier siswa SMA. Jumlah responden penelitian ini adalah 353 siswa SMA. Selanjutnya variabel diukur dengan menggunakan kuesioner penelitianya itu skala Career Decision Self-Efficacy-Short Form dan Thinking Style Inventory-Revised II yang sudah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Data dianalisis menggunakan program macro PROCESS dari Hayes yang terdapat dalam SPSS. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa gender hanya dapat memoderasi hubungan gaya berpikir tipe I dengan efikasi-diri keputusan karier pada siswa SMA (b3 -0,24, t-2,51, p 0,05); sedangkan gender tidak menjadi moderator pada hubungan gaya berpikir tipe II dengan efikasi-diri keputusan karier siswa SMA (b3 -0,12, t-1,28, p 0,5). Limitasi dan saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya didiskusikan.

In the career selection process of high school students, previous research has shown that career decision self-efficacy can be predicted from thinking styles. However, the self-efficacy of career decisions can differ between men and women. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to look at the role of gender as a moderator in the relationship of thinking styles with the self-efficacy of career decisions of high school students. The number of respondents in this study were 353 high school students. Furthermore the variables were measured using a research questionnaire namely the Career Decision Self-Efficacy-Short Form (CDSE-SF) scale and Thinking Style Inventory-Revised II (TSI-R2) which had been adapted into Indonesian. Data were analyzed using PROCESS macros program from Hayes that contained in SPSS. The results show that gender can only moderate the relationship of type I thinking styles with career decision self-efficacy in senior high school students (b3 -0,24, t-2,51, p 0,05); while gender doesnt become a moderator in the relationship of type II thinking styles with career decision self-efficacy of high school student (b3 -0,12, t -1,28, p 0,5). Limitation and suggestions for further research are discussed.
