"This comprehensive handbook will serve the needs of biomedical researchers, space mission planners and engineers, aerospace medicine physicians, graduate students, and professors interested in obtaining an up-to-date and readable introduction to bioastronautics, the science of humans in space. Following the excitement and progress of the birth of the space age in the fifties and sixties, with the successes in human space flight – culminating with the Moon landings – the field of bioastronautics retreated into the more workmanlike arena of successively longer stays in low Earth orbit. At this time, major new initiatives are ahead both in human and robotic space exploration. The International Space Station, along with the developing Chinese space station and lunar program, will permit the development and testing of the means of astronaut protection for long duration missions – eventually to Mars and its moons, as well as visits to asteroids, other NEOs, and the Lagrange points. New life support systems and innovative approaches to radiation protection beyond Earth’s magnetic field will all be developed and tested. Meanwhile, the search for extraterrestrial life, past or even present, is accelerating – with the spectacular finds of Martian water and the discovery of potentially habitable extra-solar planets. A new generation of scientists is ready to attack a new set of problems, and is in need of an efficient, accurate and searchable means of discovering the essentials of the field. This reference work also covers the challenges, past achievements, and potential solutions inherent to the safe exploration of distant space and the search for life off our planet. The entries summarize the tertiary literature and include sufficient data and illustrations to introduce each topic, while avoiding the length and detail of scientific review articles."

"The Encyclopedia of Earthquake Engineering is designed to be the authoritative and comprehensive reference
covering all major aspects of the science of earthquake engineering, specifically focusing on the interaction
between earthquakes and infrastructure. The encyclopedia comprises approximately 300 contributions. Since earthquake engineering deals with the interaction between earthquake disturbances and the built infrastructure, the emphasis is on basic design processes important to both non-specialists and engineers so that readers become suitably well informed without needing to deal with the details of specialist understanding. The encyclopedia’s content provides technically-inclined and informed readers about the ways in which earthquakes can affect our infrastructure and how engineers would go about designing against, mitigating and remediating these effects. The coverage ranges from buildings, foundations, underground construction, lifelines and bridges, roads, embankments and slopes. The encyclopedia also aims to provide cross-disciplinary and cross-domain information to domain-experts. This is the first single reference encyclopedia of this breadth and scope that brings together the science, engineering and technological aspects of earthquakes and structures."

The rapid development of the aerospace technology industries in the world today has led to the widespread use of UAVs to carry out various applications in the military and civilian fields. As with commercial flights, the operation of the UAV raises potential hazards to national security, especially to state security and aviation safety. This thesis seeks to explain how the security strategies for operating the UAV can maximize the benefits of UAV technology and minimize the potential threats from the operation of the UAV to support national resilience in Indonesia. This study used the mix methods approach, analysis using SWOT and AHP methods supported by descriptive analysis through field observations and in-depth interviews with stakeholders involved. The selection of the descriptive analysis approach in this study is based on the consideration of knowing, understanding and analyzing the problems that occur from the perspective of each stakeholder. This research seeks to instill an understanding of the importance of the influence of violations and misuse of UAV operations on national security in Indonesia. Based on the SWOT analysis that is corroborated by the information of the informant consisting of UAV businessmen / FASI members, Secretary of the Dispotdirgaau  / FASI Deputy Secretary General, Head of Sub Directorate of Surta Wilhan Kemenhan, Indonesian Pilot Drone Association (APDI), Airworthiness Inspector DKPPU Ministry of Transportation, Chairperson of University Air and Space Law Studies Prasetiya Mulya, Chief of Law for the National Air Defense Command; The strategy to safeguard the operation of UAVs to support national resilience is in the form of a Weaknesses-Threats strategy, namely a strategy carried out by minimizing weaknesses and / in avoiding challenges or threats. Then, with AHP analysis, the most important alternative strategies to be prioritized based on criteria of effectiveness, efficiency, risk and feasibility are socialization strategies, then supported by strategies for revising regulations and enforcement, registration / certification of UAV units and pilots, and by building systems application to facilitate the operation of the UAV."
