Universitas Indonesia announced that its goal for 2024 is to improve its worldwide rating (through QS rank) to become one of the top five institutions in Southeast Asia. However, the Universitas Indonesia is still ranked 11th in Southeast Asia in the QS rankings in 2022. The QS rank assigns university rankings based on six criteria, three of which are directly connected to the quality and quantity of human resources at the evaluated institutions. As a result, the Directorate of Human Resources of Universitas Indonesia (DSDM UI) plays a direct role in achieving the Universitas Indonesia's 2024 aim.
