"ABSTRAKFuel magnetizer merupakan alat berbahan dasar magnet yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pembakaran pada kendaraan atau sistem pembakaran lainnya. Banyak penelitian yang mengkaji pengaruh magnet terhadap viskositas bahan bakar, efisiensi pembakaran, penghematan bahan bakar, maupun pengurangan emisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap performansi fuel magnetizer serta parameter optimal fuel magnetizer pada generator set berbahan bakar bensin dan kompor gas LPG menggunakan metode Rancangan Faktorial. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga faktor dengan masing-masing faktor terdiri dari dua level. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa parameter optimal fuel magnetizer pada generator set adalah fuel magnetizer dengan jenis magnet Ferrite C8, polaritas saling tolak menolak dengan arah kutub searah dengan aliran bahan bakar monopolar , dan berjumlah satu pasang yang dapat meningkatkan 10,05 lamanya waktu konsumsi bahan bakar. Sedangkan pada kompor gas diperoleh parameter optimal fuel magnetizer berjenis Ferrite C8, polaritas monopolar, dan berjumlah dua pasang yang dapat meningkatkan 7,69 kecepatan memanaskan air.

ABSTRACT Fuel magnetizer is a magnetic device that can improve the combustion efficiency on vehicles or other combustion systems. Many studies have been studied about the effect of fuel magnetizer on fuel viscosity or combustion efficiency, fuel savings, and emissions reductions. This study aims to identify the main factors that can influence on the performance of fuel magnetizer and optimum fuel magnetizer parameters in gasoline generator set and LPG gas stove using Factorial Design method. This study used three factors with each factor consist of two levels. The result shows that the optimal parameters of fuel magnetizer in generator set are fuel magnetizer with Ferrite C8 magnet type, polarity repel each other with the liquid flows parallel to the lines of force in the magnetic field monopolar with one magnet pair installed on the fuel pipe. It can increase 10.05 duration of fuel consumption. While optimal parameters of fuel magnetizer in LPG gas stove are used fuel Ferrite C8 magnet type, monopolar polarity, and use two of magnet pairs installed on fuel pipe. It decrease 7.69 of water heating time. "
