"Jurnal ini membahas tentang Pemanfaatan Jurnal Elektronik di Perpustakaan Universitas Multimedia Nusantara oleh mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pemanfaatan jurnal elektronik di Perpustakaan Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, usaha yang sudah dilakukan oleh pihak Perpustakaan Universitas Multimedia Nusantara untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatan jurnal elektronik oleh mahasiswa dan hambatan yang dihadapi mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan jurnal elektronik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden mahasiswa mengetahui jurnal elektronik dan pernah memanfaatkannya, kesadaran responden mahasiswa Universitas Multimedia Nusantara akan keberadaan jurnal elektronik yang dilanggan perpustakaan sudah cukup tinggi dan kesulitan yang dialami oleh mahasiswa Universitas Multimedia Nusantara dalam mengakses jurnal elektronik adalah lokasi pengaksesan jurnal elektronik yang tidak fleksibel.

This journal discusses about utilization of electronic journals in Library of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara by the students. The purpose of this journal is to describe the utilization of electronic journals in Library of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, the effort that has been done by the library to develop the utilization of the electronic journal. This journal use quantitative approach with survey methode and use quisioner for data collecting.

The result of this journal showed that most of respondents know the electronic journals and has already utilized that, awarness respondents Universitas Multimedia Nusantara students of the existence of electronic journals subscribed by library is quite high and the difficulities experienced by students of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara n accessing electronic journals is the location of accessing electronic journals is not flexible."

"Skripsi ini membahas faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi frekuensi pemanfaatan jurnal elektronik oleh mahasiswa S1 di Universitas Indonesia serta mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh yang diberikan dari masing-masing faktor tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuisioner sebagai instrumen penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi logistik dan proses penghitungannya dibantu dengan SPSS 20. Terdapat 9 faktor yang diteliti yaitu : tingkat studi, disiplin ilmu, kewajiban pemakaian, kemampuan komputer, perilaku pencarian informasi, keuntungan relatif, kualitas isi, kemudahan penggunaan, dan fasilitas pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dari kesembilan faktor yang diteliti, hanya faktor fasilitas pendukung sajalah yang tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap frekuensi pemanfaatan jurnal elektronik oleh mahasiswa S1. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukan bahwa faktor yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan terbesar adalah faktor kewajiban pemakaian. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penulis menyarankan perpustakaan perlu berkerjasama dengan dosen/staf pengajar dalam mengenalkan jurnal elektronik kepada mahasiswa S1.

This Thesis describes about factors that influence the frequency of the electronic journals usage by undergraduate students in Universitas Indonesia and to know how much influence given of each of these factors. This research is a quantitative research using questionnaires as a research instrument.

This research use analysis logistic regression and the calculations aided by SPSS 20. There are nine factors studied, they are the level of study, discipline, an obligation to use, self efficacy, information seeking behavior, the relative advantage, content, convenient, and the facilities.

The results showed that out of the nine factors studied, only factors the facilities alone that does not have a significant effect on the frequency of the electronic journals usage by undergraduate students.

The results also showed that the factors that have the biggest influence is an obligations to use. Based on these findings, the authors recommend that the library needs to cooperate with the lecturer faculty in introducing electronic journals to the undergraduate students."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) mengetahui secara langsung penerimaan dam pemakaian jurnal elektronik pada situs web dikalangan Pengajar FK UI; 2) memeriksa kekurangan yang dihadapi Pengajar FK UI, ketika memakai jurnal elektronik gratis bidang ilmu kedokteran pada situs web internet; 3) mengetahui secara langsung dari Pengajar FK UI, kelebihan jurnal elektronik gratis bidang ilmu kedokteran pada situs web internet, khususnya untuk kegiatan ilmiah yang berhubungan dengan bidang kedokteran.Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai pada bulan Januari sampai dengan bulan Juni 2002, dan sifat penelitian adalah deskriptif dimana seluruh informasi yang diperoleh dari data kuesioner dipaparkan dengan kata-kata secara jelas dalam bentuk peubah, tanpa melihat hubungan antar peubah serta tidak dilakukan uji hipotesis. Sampel diambil secara acak dari para pemakai jumal elektronik yakni Pengajar FK UI.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner yang ditata dalam kelompok: Informasi Latar Belakang; Penerimaan dan Pemakaian Jurnal Elektronik; Kekurangan dan Kelebihan Jumal Elektronik. Demikian juga jenis pertanyaan memiliki jawaban "Ya" dan "Tidak", ditambah dengan pertanyaan terbuka yang bersifat penjelasan dari jawaban "Ya" dan "Tidak" serta memiliki pilihan jawaban dalam bentuk ukuran skala ordinal dari Likert.Seluruh data yang terkumpul adalah data kualitatif yang akan dikuantifikasikan yaitu dengan mengubah pertanyaan dari data kualitatif menjadi data kuantitatif dengan cara memberi skor atau angka kode tertentu agar dapat diolah oleh komputer dengan menggunakan sistem operasi Miscrosoft Windows Release 95 dan paket program aplikasi Microsoft Office Release 97.Hasil penelitian kajian pemakai jurnal elektronik di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa penerimaan dan pemakaian jurnal elektronik yang berhubungan dengan relevansi isi jurnal dengan profesi atau spesialisasi responden adalah sangat relevan; isi jurnal dengan judul jurnal adalah sangat sesuai; dan isi jumal dengan nilai kualitas artikel yang ada dalam jurnal adalah sangat baik.Tampilan jurnal elektronik terhadap teks, warna, grafik, tabel dan gambar adalah sangat mudah dibaca, sangat mudah dipahami dan sangat jelas. Fasilitas yang ditawarkan oleh jurnal elektronik untuk browsing terhadap: pengarang, judul, abstrak, seluruh teks, tabel, grafik, gambar, hyperlinks, dan pencarian artikel di dalam artikel maupun lintas artikel adalah sangat berguna. Termasuk di dalamnya sangat mudah untuk berpindah ke awal, ke akhir dan ke bagian-bagian khusus di dalam artikel tersebut.Responden sangat setuju atas kekurangan (disadvantageous) jurnal elektronik terhadap isu lisensi, hak cipta dan mudah dijiplak. Juga responder sangat setuju atas kelebihan (advantageous) jumal elektronik terhadap kecepatan mengakses, kecepatan produksi dan distribusi, pembuatan artikel lebih mudah akibat komunikasi antara penuliseditor-pembaca lewat e-mail, informasinya selalu diperbaharui, memudahkan pencarian artikel, upload dan download artikel, hasil penelitian dapat didiskusikan dan ditanggapi serta format hyperteks yang memudahkan link diantara informasi yang relevan.

This objectives of this research are: 1) to know directly the acceptances and use of electronic journal at the website in the circle of Lecturers at the Medical Faculty, UI; 2) to examine the disadvantageous of faced by the Lecturers of the Medical Faculty, UI, when using free of electronic journal on the website of internet; 3) to know directly from the Lecturers of the Medical Faculty, UI, the Advantageous of the free of electronic journal in the field of medical science on the website of internet, particularly for scientific activities related to the medical science.

The research was conducted during January to June 2002, and the nature of research is descriptive where all information are obtained all information were obtained from the data expressed clearly in words in the form of modifier, without neither observing the relation between the modifiers, nor conducting hypothetical examination. The samples were obtained at random from the users of the electronic journal who are the Lecturer of the Medical Faculty, UI.

The data were collected from questionnaires distributed that were arranged in groups: Background Information; Receipt and Use of Electronic Journal; Disadvantageous and Advantageous of Electronic Journal. The type of questions had "Yes" and "No" answers, added with open questions, which were explanations from the "Yes", and "No" answers and had options of answers in the ordinal scale of Likert.

All collected data were qualitative which will be quantified by changing the questions from qualitative to quantitative data by assigning scores or certain code number in order to allow processing by the computer by applying Microsoft Windows Release 95 operating system and Microsoft Windows Release 95 application program package.

The outcome of the research on the electronic journal uses at the Medical Faculty, UI indicated that the receipt and use of electronic journal related to the relevance of the content of the journal with the profession or specialization of the respondents were very relevant; the content and the title of the journal was very appropriate; and the content quality value of the article in the journal is very good.

The display of the electronic journal to the text, color, graph, table and drawing, were very easy to read, very easy to understand and were very clear. The facilities offered by the electronic journal for browsing against: the author, title, abstract, the whole text, table, graphs, drawing, hyperlink, and the retrieval of article within the article as well as cross articles were very useful. Including that is was very easy to move the start, to the end and to the special section in that article.

The respondents strongly supported the disadvantageous of the electronic journal against the license issue, copyright and easy to duplicate. The respondents strongly supported the Advantageous of the electronic journal against access, speed of production and distribution, the preparation of article was easier due to the communication between writer-editor-reader by e-mail, the information always updated, facilitating retrieval of an article, upload and download of the article, outcome of research can be discussed and responded to, as well as the hypertext format that facilitated the link between the relevant information."

"Skripsi ini membahas pemanfaatan layanan online jurnal elektronik yang diakses dari luar kampus oleh mahasiswa Sampoerna University. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode wawancara dengan jumlah 4 orang informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dengan adanya layanan akses jurnal dari luar kampus dirasa sangat bermanfaat, mahasiswa tidak perlu lagi datang ke perpustakaan untuk mengakses jurnal elektronik yang dilanggan, melainkan cukup dari mana saja mereka berada asalkan terhubung melalui jaringan internet. Layanan akses jurnal dari luar kampus ini juga terbukti berhasil membawa dampak yang signifikan yaitu meningkatnya penggunaan jurnal elektronik oleh mahasiswa Sampoerna University.

This research discusses the use of electronic journals online service that are accessible from outside the campus by students Sampoerna University. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach through the interview method with the number of 4 informants.

The results showed that the presence of the journal access services from outside the campus (library journal offsite access) is considered to be very beneficial, where students are no longer need to come to the library physically to access the subscribed electronic journals. They can access them from anywhere and anytime as long as they are connected to the Internet.

Service access journals from outside campus also proved to be successful by bringing a significant impact that showing increasing number of the use of electronic journals by the students of Sampoerna University"

"This study aims to compare the utilization of print journals against electronic journals in the information needs qfstudents at the University of Sumatera Utara Branch of Medical Library. Analysis includes the utilization of journals, journal collections according to the user needs. Research method used descriptive with comparative approach. Samples were determined using accidental sampling technique. Data were collected through observation and questionnaires distributed to the students of Bachelor's Degree General Medicine Study Program. Analyses were performed by grouping data from questionnaires and observation. The result of the study showed the majority of students used electronic journals more often than print journals. Overall electronic journals met the information needs of students rather than print journal. In general, students said that electronic journals were more sophisticated than print journals."

"Penelitian ini membahas pemanfaatan e-journal yang disediakan perpustakaan oleh sivitas akademik fakultas ekonomi dan bisnis Universitas trisakti, yaitu mahasiswa dan dosen. Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dan menginterpretasi pamanfaatan e-journal yang disediakan perpustakaan oleh sivitas akademik berdasarkan user-centered-access dan web access, serta faktor-faktor yang mendorong dan menghambat pemanfaatan e-journal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran pemanfaatan e-journal oleh sivitas akademik fakultas ekonomi dan bisnis universitas trisakti dan faktor-faktor yang mendorong dan menghambatnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus dan wawancara dalam pengumpulan data. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa para sivitas akademik sebagai pengguna e-journal sudah mampu memahami pemanfaatan e-journal dari awal mengakses, menelusur, mencari, dan menggunaka e-journal yang ditemukan. Namun, kekurangannya adalah ketersediaan kebutuhan informasi dari beberapa subjek dan artikel yang tidak tersedia, tidak bisa diakses.

This study discusses about the use of e-journal supplied libraries by academic faculty by faculty of economics and business university of trisakti, namely students and lecturer. The problem studied in this research is to analyze and interpret the use of e-journal is provided by academic faculty library based on user centered-access and web-access, as well as the factors that drive and impede the use of e-journal.

This study aims to provide an overview the use of e-journal by academic faculty the faculty of economic and business university of trisakti and factors driving and impeding the use it. The method that used is qualitative case study and interviews in data collection.

The researchers concluded that the academic faculty as e-journal users have been able to understand the use of e-journal from the start accessing, searching, searching, and make use of e-journal were found. However, the drawback is the availability of the information needs of some subjects and articles that are not available, it can not be accessed."

"Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengetahui kondisi pemanfaatan jurnal elektronik Proquest oleh pengguna MBRC sekaligus melakukan analisis faktorfaktor yang mempengaruhi keinginan pengguna untuk memanfaatkannya dan mengidentifikasi hambatan yang dialami pengguna dalam proses pemanfaatan tersebut.Untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keinginan pengguna untuk memanfaatkan jurnal elektronik Proquest di MBRC digunakan model penelitian yang diadaptasi dari model penerimaan pengguna terhadap pangkalan data jurnal elektronik (Kim, 2005) dan model pemanfaatan sumber informasi dalam perpustakaan digital (Thong, 2004). Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif kausal dengan menggunakan survei kuesioner dalam pengumpulan datanya. Model penelitian melakukan analisis terhadap bagaimana pengaruh faktor-faktor: kemampuan menggunakan komputer, norma subyektif, kualitas informasi, kemudahan akses, kemudahan penggunaan dan manfaat yang dirasakan terhadap keinginan pengguna untuk memanfaatkan jumal elektronik dalam Proquest, sehingga tingkat pemanfaatan layanan jurnal .elektronik dapat diprediksi.Hasil penelitian mendapati bahwa meskipun kesadaran pengguna akan fasilitas jurnal elektronik Proquest di MBRC tinggi, namun jumlah responden yang memanfaatkan dan tingkat pemanfaatannya masih belum maksimal. Masih ada 40% lebih responden yang belum memanfaatkan. Tingkat pemanfaatan yang diindikasikan dengan frekuensi dan durasi pemanfaatan serta jumlah artikel yang didownload jugs masih rendah. Dan enam faktor yang diuji pengaruhnya terhadap keinginan pengguna untuk memanfaatkan jurnal elektronik Proquest, faktor manfaat yang dirasakan (perceived usefulness) memiliki pengaruh yang paling besar (27.5%) disusul oleh norma subyektif (21%), kemudahan penggunaan (19.8%), kemudahan akses (17.1%), dan kualitas informasi (14.6%). Kemampuan pengguna dalam menggunakan komputer (computer self-efficacy) tidak ditemukan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keinginan untuk memanfaatkan jurnal elektronik Proquest. Hambatan yang paling banyak dirasakan pengguna dalam memanfaatkan jurnal elektronik Proquest ialah kurangnya kesadaran (awareness) dan masalah kemudahan akses seperti kurangnya fasilitas komputer dan penggunaan password yang menyulitkan."

Metoda analisanya adalah Stuctural Equation Modeling dengan software LISREL versi 8.72. Hasil penelitian mendukung teori dari TAM untuk pemanfaatan teknologi terutama jurnal elektronik oleh dosen dan mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia. Namun Model dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan menambahkan Subjective Norm, Facilitating Factors, dan Computer Self Efficacy. Hasil yang diperoleh dengan penambahan variabel tersebut adalah Subjective Norm pada penelitian ini mendukung Intention to Use namun Computer Self Efficacy tidak mendukung Perceived Usefulness. Facilitating Factors tidak mendukung Actual Usage namun Computer Self Efficacy tidak mendukung Perceived Ease of Use. Actual Usage mendukung Information Behaviour.

Research about acceptance to information technology to user have used many. Beside that, existence of usage of resources electronic especially usage of electronic journal in college. But electronic journal exploiting in University Indonesia do not such as those which expected. This research aim to to study electronic journal exploiting in its bearing with behavior seeking of information use Technology Acceptance Model to be related to Information behaviour as responder to information product which have obtained of taken by population is Indonesia university student and lecturer. Data collecting use disseminated kuesioner by Purposive where chosen criterion is responder which have used Proquest. its Method Analysis is Stuctural Equation Modelling with LISREL version software 8.72. Result of research support theory from TAM for technological exploiting especially electronic journal by Indonesia university student and lecturer. But Model in this research is developed by enhancing Subjective Norm, Facilitating Factors, and Computer Self Efficacy. Result of which is obtained with addition of the variable is Subjective Norm at this research support Intention Use to but Computer Self Efficacy do not support Perceived Usefulness. Facilitating Factors do not support Actual Usage but Computer Self Efficacy do not support Perceived Ease Use of. Actual Usage support Information Behaviour."

"Di era digital saat ini, informasi disajikan dalam berbagai format dan berbagai media. Perpustakaan sudah seharusnya terus mengembangkan koleksinya agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan informasi penggunanya. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan oleh perpustakaan adalah dengan menyediakan electronic resources. Biaya yang cukup besar ketika melanggan electronic resources menjadi perhatian apabila penggunaan tidak optimal. Banyak faktor yang dapat memengaruhi niat pengguna untuk menggunakan kembali layanan yang diberikan perpustakaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji apa saja alasan yang mendasari pengguna untuk kembali menggunakan layanan perpustakaan e-resources IEEE Xplore di Universitas Indonesia. Mahasiswa dan Dosen Universitas Indonesia yang pernah mengakses IEEE Explore merupakan subjek dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan statistik inferensial dan pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metodologi kuantitatif dengan kuesioner yang diukur dengan skala likert sebagai instrumen penelitian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian applied research yang mengambil studi kasus pada IEEE Xplore Digital Library yang dilanggan oleh Universitas Indonesia. Structural Equation Modeling SEM dilakukan untuk menguji hipotesis tentang hubungan antar variabel-variabel yang diamati dan variabel-variabel laten. Pengujian variabel-variabel ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh gambaran komprehensif mengenai keseluruhan model. Sejumlah 115 data responden dianalisa menggunakan prosedur structural equation modeling SEM berbasis varian dan menggunakan perangkat lunak SmartPLS v.3.2.6 . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perceived usefulness dan satisfaction berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap continuance intention.

In this digital era, information is presented in various formats and media. Library should continue to develop its collection in order to meet the information needs of its users. One of the efforts undertaken by the library is to provide electronic resources. The considerable cost of subscribing to electronic resources is being concerned if usage is not optimal. Many factors can affect users to reuse the services provided by the library. This study aims to examine what are the reasons underlying the users to re use IEEE Xplore e resources as library services. Students and Lecturers of University of Indonesia who have accessed IEEE Explore are the research subjects.

This study uses inferential statistics and the approach used is quantitative methodology with a questionnaire measured by Likert scale as a research instrument. This research is applied research at IEEE Xplore Digital Library which subscribed by University of Indonesia. Structural Equation Modeling SEM is performed to test the hypothesis about the relationship between the observed variables and the latent variables. Testing of these variables is done to obtain a comprehensive picture of the overall model. A total of 115 respondent data were analyzed using a variance based structural equation modeling SEM procedure and using SmartPLS software v.3.2.6 . The results showed that perceived usefulness and satisfaction had significant effect on continuance intention."

"[Skripsi ini membahas mengenai proses pengadaan jurnal elektronik di perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia dari sudut pandang pustakawan. Pengadaan dalam penelitian ini meliputi kegiatan: analisis kebutuhan informasi pemustaka, seleksi, pemesanan dan kendala yang dihadapi selama proses pengadaan jurnal elektronik. Tujuan penelitian ini membantu pustakawan Universitas Indonesia untuk berefleksi tentang apa yang telah dilakukannya dalam pengadaan jurnal elektronik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini adalah analisis kebutuhan informasi pemustaka tidak dilakukan secara serius, seleksi jurnal elektronik diserahkan kepada vendor dan kendala yang dihadapi adalah jurnal elektronik yang diembargo, sehingga pemustaka kehilangan akses sementara ke jurnal yang terbaru.
