"This research studies about the students about the students paragraph writing. The data are the students paragraph of English students Nommensen university on sixth semester. In this research, the writer collected the data by reading all the students writing of 17 paragraph and underlined the topic sentence, supporting sentence, and concluding sentence. The data are analyzed by identifying the writing based on part and types of the paragraph. After analyzing the data the writer finds that there are the part and types in writing of students. And the capacity of students is not good because ost of the students can not filled the rule of part paragraph, consist of: topic sentence, supporting sentence, and concluding sentence. "

"This article analyzes some important aspeccts in designing essay writing syllabus as one of the most commanly used from of academic writing at tertiary level of education. Since this article deals with the design of essay writing syllabus for Indonesia undergraduate students of English, the major issues involved are from cultural, structural and linguistic perspective. The analysis of this study designed endeavours to addres to the se problems and attempts to make an improvemnet from the existing writing subject for similar purposes. Therefore, this article proposes the brief proposes the brief outlines of some issues relevant to the design of essay writing syllabus including the approach, process, materials and evalution."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang evaluasi library induction dalam menulis extended essay yang dilaksanakan setelah siswa year 12 di The British International School mengikuti library induction yang diberikan oleh manajer perpustakaan untuk selanjutnya ditanyakan kembali dalam kondisi dimana mereka sudah menyelesaikan extended essay mereka. Evaluasi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana siswa membuat pertanyaan penelitian dalam menyiapkan extended essay, mengetahui bagaimana siswa menentukan kata kunci untuk penelusuran dalam menyiapkan extended essay, mengetahui apakah perpustakaan mempunyai sumber-sumber yang siswa perlukan dalam menyiapkan extended essay, mengetahui apa saja daftar situs yang digunakan oleh siswa sebagai sumber informasi dalam menyiapkan extended essay, dan mengetahui kemampuan menulis extended essay pasca library induction. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan cara memeriksa dokumen terkait, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini juga dikaitkan dengan model literasi informasi Empowering 8.

This undergraduate thesis covers the evaluation of library induction in writing an extended essay that is executed after year 12 students at The British International School follows the library induction was provided by the library manager then asked to return to in the conditions which they have completed their extended essay. This evaluation aims to determine how students make the research question in preparing the extended essay, to know how students learn to define keywords for searching in preparing the extended essay, to find out if the library has the resources that students need to prepare an extended essay, find out what are the list of sites used by students as a source of information in preparing an extended essay, and determine the ability to write an extended essay after library induction. This study was a qualitative research with case study method. The research data obtained by examining relevant documents, interviews, and observation. The results of this study was also associated with the information literacy model of Empowering 8."
