Perbedaan waktu hand over dipengaruhi perangkat access point."

"Multimedia signals include different data types (text, sound, graphics, picture, animations, video, etc.), which can be time-dependent (sound, video and animation) or spatially-dependent (images, text and graphics). Hence, the multimedia systems represent an interdisciplinary cross-section of the following areas: digital signal processing, computer architecture, computer networks and telecommunications. Multimedia Signals and Systems is an introductory text, designed for students or professionals and researchers in other fields, with a need to learn the basics of signals and systems. A considerable emphasis is placed on the analysis and processing of multimedia signals (audio, images, video). Additionally, the book connects these principles to other important elements of multimedia systems such as the analysis of optical media, computer networks, QoS, and digital watermarking.

This thesis described the implementation of Quality of Service in IMS network. IMS has Quality of Service mechanism which can guarantee the IMS services to operate as expected. Quality of Service is implemented by modeling an IMS network that gives packet priority VoIP application better than VoD with open source routers.
Data of this experiment was taken using Wireshark program to analyze Quality of Service parameters such as delay, jitter and packet loss. After impelementing Quality of Service, VoD's QoS parameters increase 42 ms in delay, 47 ms in jitter, and 39 % in packet loss compare with no QoS implementation for 384 kbps bandwidth usage. VoIP application show decreasing trend, 42 ms in delay, 75 ms in jitter, and 5 % in packet loss compare with no QoS implementation for 16 kbps bandwidth usage. It shows that the implementation of QoS in IMS network has suited with the theory.
Besides, there's an additional experiment with VoIP interruption duration variable. The results of this experiment show that VoD is affected by this duration variable while VoIP is not affected by this durational variable, VoIP delay is constant at 20 ms delay.

The 3G WCDMA network technology has been operated by the telecommunication operators in Indonesia since the middle of 2006 with various services and features. These services and features open a prospect of new lines of business for the operators and also for other companies who are interested to take part in this business. One of the service that has the potential to become a new line of business is the ?video on demand? service. Video on demand is a form of 3G services where customers can watch and enjoy watching films or videos that they want, simply through cellular phones, so that the customers feel comfortable and have the freedom in choosing the entertainment that they want. In order to understand the feasibility of revenue share video on demand business plan of the 3G service in DKI Jakarta, an analysis of a business plan model is necessary. The analysis of the business plan model is done by examining some important aspects in business planning, which are: the marketing, regulation, human resource, and financial aspects. This plan analysis is using data from PT. Telkomsel from the year 2005-2007 to forecast the video on demand customers. The business plans are made using three scenarios: the first scenario with the assumption of fixed tariff; the second scenario with the assumption of increasing tariff; and the third scenario with the assumption of decreasing tariff. The feasibility analysis result from all aspects leads to the first scenario as the most feasible to be applied in DKI Jakarta. The first scenario of revenue share video on demand business model of the 3G service has the value of Payback Period for 2 years, NPV USD 583,302 , 43% IRR, and 1.458 Profitability Index. In order to increase the profit of this business, it is advised to engage partnerships with several services/network operators in Indonesia."
