"Salah satu masukan yang digunakan untuk mencapai sasaran produksi adalah material (spare part), disamping tenaga kerja, mesin-mesin/modal, energi dan informasi. Manajemen operasi bertanggung jawab untuk mengendalikan penyediaan spare part. Dalam pengendalian spare part telah dikembangkan beberapa sistem pengisian kembali. Namun tidak semua sistem itu dapat diterapkan di semua jenis perusahaan karena sifat penggunaan spare part disetiap perusahaan tidaklah sama. Pada tugas akhir ini dibuat suatu aplikasi yang dapat memberikan informasi yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu menentukan kapan memesan dan berapa harus memesan berdasarkan data-data pengambilan, presentase penggunaan dan kondisi sediaan yang dibandingkan dengan sistem pengisian kembali minimum-maksimum. Aplikasi ini dibuat dengan program utama PHP sebagai bahasa server script dan MySQL sebagai server database. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan aplikasi sistem informasi penyediaan spare part dapat berjalan dengan baik pada local area network sebuah perusahaan dan memiliki rata-rata waktu respon dalam menampilkan data pemakaian spare part per bagian tahun 2005 sebesar 0.736 detik untuk bagian elektrik, 0.627 detik untuk bagian instrumen dan 0.766 untuk bagian mekanik."
