This case study aims to investigate the resilience of urban informal settlements with a focus on the sustainability and adaptation of Home Based Enterprises (HBE) in the face of economic and environmental risks. The HBE operators in these settlements implement various resilience strategies, allowing the HBE spaces to serve as both economic necessities and adaptations to the frequently occurring flood hazards. The data was collected through a qualitative approach by observing and analyzing three residential units with HBE in Blok Empang. The results of the case study indicate that HBE spaces contribute to household income generation and strengthen the community's economic network through strong social relationships within the dense informal settlement. The community also engages in creative efforts to maintain their residences through macro and micro flood strategies. This case study recommends the need to consider aspects that housing should be designed as multidimensional spaces to fulfill human activities, where housing serves not only as a place to rest but also as a place to work."

"Parangtritis, is a settlement existed on the coastal area of Yogyakarta. As an absolute space, Parangtritis has its own charateristic as a cluster of vernacular settlements. The underpinning of the existence of Parangtritis is a belief of people that Parangtritis is a place where the main gate of the unseen kingdom of Queen of the South (the Southern Goddess) is located. With this underpinning of an abstract space, Parangtritis had transformed to a spiritual space, a cultural space, a social space, and recently to a commercial space. This transformation of space is in line with Lefebvre's concept of the production of space, which works under a system of interconnected-relations (engagement).
This paper aims to present some evidences, conceptual findings, and theoritical discussions where an engagement of absolute space and abstract space occurs in the case of Parangtritis settlements of Yogyakarta of Indonesia."

"National Cotton Acceleration Program (Program Akselerasi Kapas Nasional, PAKN) being incepted in East Sumba since 2008 has created three forms of resistance among female farmers in Tanamanang Village. The first form of resistance includes referring to the PAKN cotton as “project’s cotton,” which represents a negative inference, and can be
categorized into a form of symbolic resistance. The second resistance is an open resistance since the actions can be observed in the female farmers’ daily routines. This form of resistance is done by defying the PAKN rules, such as the farming method and the sales agreement. The third form of resistance can be regarded as assertion resistance, whichv is done by rejecting the cotton demonstration plot being implemented in their front and back yard."

This paper investigates the effect of the private pension scheme on domestic savings in Turkey between the period 2003Q4-2018Q3. Bounds Test employed revealed that a cointegrating relationship exists between the private pension fund and domestic savings in Turkey. The ARDL model is used to examine the short and the long term relationship among the variables. Also the Fully Modified OLS (FMOLS), Dynamic OLS (DOLS) and Markov Switching Regression models are employed to check for robustness.
