"International Criminal Police Organization or Interpol is an international organization formed to assist the handling of transnational crimes. In handling transnational crimes, Interpol has a global communication system (I-24/7) which is very effective in the exchange of information between Interpol member countries in dealing with transnational crimes. Other than through the I-24/7, Interpol also involves in effective cooperation in handling transnational crimes through various notifications that are given by the Interpol. One of the Interpol notifications which was very important in handling transnational crimes is the red notice. Interpol cooperation system also supports other international legal instruments in the prevention of transnational crimes, which is supporting the implementation of mutual legal assistance and extradition. Effectiveness of the Interpol cooperation patterns can be seen in the handling of M. Nazaruddin case. M. Nazaruddin, which was determined to be a suspect of fraud case and banking crimes by the Corruption Eradication Commission, had returned to Indonesia with the help of Interpol after his escape to several countries.

International Criminal Police Organization atau Interpol adalah suatu organisasi internasional yang dibentuk untuk membantu penanganan kejahatan transnasional. Dalam penanganan kejahatan transnasional Interpol memiliki sisitem komunikasi global (I-24/7) yang sangat efektif dalam pertukaran informasi diantara negara anggota Interpol dalam menangani suatu kejahatan transnasional. Selain melalui I-24/7, Interpol juga melakukan kerja sama yang efektif dalam penanganan kejahatan transnasional melalui berbagai notifikasi yang dimiliki oleh Interpol. Salah satu notifikasi Interpol yang sangat berperan dalam penanganan kejahatan transnasional adalah melalui red notice. Nazaruddin yang ditetapkan menjadi tersangka kasus korupsi dan kejahatan perbankan oleh Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi berhasil dikembalikan ke Indonesia atas bantuan Interpol setelah sebelumnya melarikan diri kebeberapa negara."
