This paper study about Indonesian foreign policy which adheres to free-active when the Korean War took place. When the Korean War occurred, Indonesia as a newly independent country sought to gain recognition from the international world by being neutral and not taking sides with the countries involved in the Korean War. This paper aims to examine the Indonesian political attitude toward the Korean War through Indonesian foreign policy which adheres to free-active. The researcher uses the qualitative methods of exploration with a diachronist approach. From the results of the study, it was found that Indonesia viewed the Korean War as an internal conflict that occurred in Korea, but Indonesia sought to resolve the conflict in Korea peacefully by not taking sides among one of the parties involved. Indonesia's goal in resolving conflict in Korea is the achievement of world peace and security, so in the process of resolving the conflict in Korea, Indonesia has repeatedly refused requests from the United Nations when the UN did not indicate a peaceful resolution of the Korean conflict. However, even though Indonesia did not take sides in the Korean War, Indonesia's relations with North Korea and South Korea has been well established today."

"While focusing on American involvement between 1965 and 1975, Lawrence offers an unprecedentedly complete picture of all sides of the war, notably by examining the motives that drove the Vietnamese communists and their foreign allies. Moreover, the book carefully considers both the long- and short-term origins of the war. --from publisher description."
