"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan informasi serta perilaku pencarian informasi mahasiswa tingkat akhir Program Studi Arkeologi Universitas Indonesia dalam penelitian skripsi. Penelitian ini juga mencoba untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan-hambatan yang ditemui mahasiswa arkeologi baik pada saat penelusuran informasi maupun mengakses sumber-sumber informasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi dalam memperoleh informasi dari informan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model dari perilaku pencarian informasi yang dikemukakan oleh Ellis yang selanjutnya ditambahkan oleh Wilson untuk mengidentifikasi keadaan yang sebenarnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan mahasiswa Program Studi Arkeologi memiliki kebutuhan informasi berdasarkan topik penelitian yang diteliti. Mahasiswa arkeologi melakukan tahapan-tahapan pencarian informasi sesuai dengan model perilaku pencarian informasi Ellis. Lokasi dari objek arkeologi yang diteliti menjadi hambatan yang paling banyak ditemui pada penelitian mahasiswa Program Studi Arkeologi.

This study aims to identify information needs and information seeking behavior of their final year students of Archaeological Studies Program, Universitas Indonesia in the research thesis. The study also tries to identify the obstacles encountered both archeology student at the time of the search of information and access to sources of information.

This study is a qualitative study using interviews and observations in obtaining information from informants. This study uses a model of information seeking behavior expressed by Ellis are then added by Wilson to identify the real situation.

The results of this study indicate Archaeological Studies Program students have a need for information based on research topics studied. Archeology students doing the stages of information search in accordance with a behavioral model of information retrieval Ellis.

The location of archaeological object under study into the barriers most commonly found in the research students of Archaeology."

"Pelecehan seksual verbal adalah salah satu bentuk kekerasan seksual. Rendahnya jumlah kasus  pelecehan seksual verbal yang dilaporkan merupakan pendorong untuk meneliti perilaku pencarian informasi penyintas pelecehan seksual verbal. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode studi kasus pada mahasiswa yang pernah mengalami pelecehan seksual verbal. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan studi pustaka. Wawancara dilakukan kepada 5 informan yang memenuhi kriteria berupa mahasiswa dan pernah mengalami pelecehan seksual verbal. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kebutuhan informasi ini didalami beasarkan pada kebutuhan fisiologis, emosional, dan kognitif. Ditemukan perbedaan informasi yang dicari antara penyintas laki-laki dengan perempuan. Penyintas laki-laki lebih mencari informasi tentang laki-laki sebagai penyintas karena laki-laki lebih dianggap tidak mungkin menjadi penyintas. Meski demikian, setiap penyintas cenderung mencari informasi sebagai bentuk edukasi diri dan tidak memilih untuk melapor lebih lanjut. Alasan penyintas tidak melapor kepada Pusat Pelayanan Terpadu (PPT) adalah normalisasi pelecehan seksual verbal, sulit mengumpulkan bukti, dan persepsi buruk terhadap PPT.

Verbal sexual harrasment is a form of sexual violence. The low number of reported cases of  verbal sexual harassment is an incentive to research the behavior of survivors of information. This research was conducted with an approach with a case study method on college student who had experienced verbal sexual harrasment. Data were collected through interviews and literature study. Interviews were conducted with 5 informants who met the criteria in the form of college students and had experienced verbal sexual harassment.

The results showed that the survivors carried out information stages according to the ISSAS information search model or Information Search of Sexual Assault Survivor. This information need is based on physiological, emotional, and cognitive needs. There were differences in the information sought between male and female survivors. Male survivors are more likely to seek information about men as survivors because men are considered less likely to be survivors. Nevertheless, survivors tend to seek information as a form of self-education and do not want to report further. The reasons survivors did not report to the Pusat Pelayanan Terpadu (PPT) were verbal sexual normalization, difficulty gathering evidence, and poor perception of PPT. "

"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas mengenai perilaku pencarian informasi siswa kelas XIISMA PSKD 1 Jakarta dalam persiapannya menghadapi Ujian Nasional.Permasalahan penelitian ini adalah perilaku pencarian informasi siswa kelas XIISMA PSKD 1 Jakarta yang menggunakan iPad dan internet dalam memenuhikebutuhan informasi mereka. Penulis juga meneliti bagaimana peran perpustakaandan pustakawan di saat siswa telah menggunakan iPad dan internet dalampencarian informasi mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif,dengan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pencarianinformasi yang dilakukan oleh siswa lebih kepada pencarian melalui internetdengan menggunakan iPad dikarenakan juga didukung oleh sistem pembelajaranyang diterapkan oleh pihak sekolah. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwaperan perpustakaan serta pustakawan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi siswakelas XII SMA PSKD 1 Jakarta masih belum maksimal. Hasil penelitianmenyimpulkan bahwa siswa kelas XII SMA PSKD I Jakarta lebih banyak mencariinformasi dari internet dengan menggunakan iPad daripada mencari informasi dariperpustakaan.

ABSTRACTThis undergraduate thesis discusses about the information seeking behavior ofYear XII students of PSKD 1 Jakarta High School, in their preparation for theNational Examination. The research problem of this undergraduate thesis is theinformation seeking behavior of Year XII students of PSKD 1 Jakarta HighSchool who use the iPad and the internet to fulfill their information needs. Theauthor also examines the function and the role of libraries and librarians duringthe period of time students are in the process in who have been using the iPad andthe internet in their information seeking. This research used a qualitativeapproach, and the case study method. The results of this study concluded that theseeking for information by students over to search through the internet with theiPad due also supported by a learning system that is implemented by the school.Then the role of libraries and librarians in meeting the information needs of YearXII students of PSKD 1 Jakarta High School not yet."

"Inovasi merupakan hal yang penting untuk dilakukan oleh perusahaan pada era globalisasi saat ini dan tentunya tidak terlepas dari peran karyawan yang bekerja secara inovatif pula. Namun, perilaku kerja inovatif ini perlu dipersiapkan ketika berada di perguruan tinggi sebelum memasuki dunia kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara perilaku pencarian informasi dan perilaku kerja inovatif pada mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia yang berjumlah 539 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan perilaku korelasional dengan menggunakan alat ukur perilaku pencarian informasi yang dikonstruksi oleh peneliti dan tim, serta menggunakan Innovative Work Behavior Scale yang dikembangkan oleh Janssen (2000) dan telah diadaptasi oleh Etikariena & Muluk (2014). Data partisipan pada penelitian dianalisis menggunakan Pearson's Correlation, Independent Sample T-Test, dan One-way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara perilaku pencarian informasi dan perilaku kerja inovatif. Keenam dimensi perilaku pencarian informasi juga berkorelasi secara signifikan dengan perilaku kerja inovatif, yaitu kebutuhan informasi, sumber informasi, pengevaluasian informasi, pengambilan informasi, penggunaan informasi, dan etika informasi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan pertimbangan oleh tenaga pendidik atau universitas untuk mengembangkan perilaku pencarian informasi yang dapat memunculkan perilaku kerja inovatif pada mahasiswa.

Innovation is important for organization in this globalization era and surely it cannot be separated from employee's innovative work behavior. However, innovative work behavior needs to be prepared when in college before entering the world of employment. This study was conducted to examine the relationship between information-seeking behavior and innovative work behavior on University of Indonesia students involved 539 students. This research was quantitative research that using an information-seeking behavior instrument constructed by researcher and team, also using Innovative Work Behavior Scale from Janssen (2000) and has been adapted by Etikariena & Muluk (2014). Data were analyzed using the Pearson's Correlation, Independent Sample T-Test, and One-way ANOVA. Results from this research indicates that there is significant relationship between information-seeking behavior and innovative work behavior. The six dimensions of information-seeking behavior also correlate significantly with innovative work behavior, that are information need, information source, information evaluation, information retrieval, information utilization, and information ethics. This research hopefully can be considered by educators to develop student's information-seeking behavior that can lead to innovative work behavior."

"Salah satu sumber informasi digital yang akhir-akhir ini sangat masif digunakan oleh banyak orang termasuk kalangan mahasiswa adalah chatbot AI seperti ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Bing AI/Copilot, humata, dan Perplexity.AI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi perilaku pencarian dan hambatan mahasiswa sarjana tingkat akhir UI dalam memanfaatkan chatbot AI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa semua informan melakukan pencarian informasi di chatbot AI untuk menemukan referensi terkait topik penelitian tugas akhir atau skripsi sebagai syarat kelulusannya. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa setiap langkah dalam model pencarian David Ellis, dkk, chatbot AI selalu berperan membantu para informan untuk melakukan pencarian informasi terkait referensi literatur penelitian yang berupa teks paragraf dan jurnal. Namun, dalam praktek pencarian informasi di chatbot AI informan menghadapi berbagai hambatan yang berasal dari fisiologis, kognitif, dan karakter emosional. Selain itu, ada juga hambatan yang berasal dari karakteristik sumber informasi.

One of the digital information sources that has recently been massively used by many people including students is chatbot AI such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Bing AI/Copilot, humata, and Perplexity.AI. This study aims to explore the search behavior and barriers of UI final-year undergraduate students in utilizing chatbot AI. This study used qualitative approach with qualitative descriptive methods. The results of this study show that all informants conducted information searches on chatbot AI to find references related to the research topic of their final project or thesis as a requirement for graduation. This study shows that every step in the David Ellis, et al. search model, chatbot AI always play a role in helping informants to search for information related to research literature references in the form of text paragraphs and journals. However, in the practice of searching for information on AI chatbots, informants face various barriers originating from physiological, cognitive, and emotional characteristics. In addition, there are also obstacles that arise from the characteristics of information sources."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan menganalisa perilaku Pengajar STAIN Surakarta dalam mencari informasi yang dibutuhkan untuk menulis disertasi dalam rangka menyelesaikan studi program Doktor. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kulitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan internet oleh para informan didasarkan kepada kemudahan akses dan kuantitas informasi yang besar. Model yang digunakan dalam pencarian informasi adalah model Ellis-Wilson. Dalam Pencarian terdapat hambatan yang berasal dari individu maupun sistem internet itu sendiri. Dalam penelitian ini disarankan pentingnya literasi informasi pada civitas akademika dan membenahi unjuk kerja internet.

The aim of this study is view and analyze the behaviour of Lectures STAIN Surakarta in finding the information necessary to write a dissertation in order to complete of the doctoral program. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data analysis is done by using descriptive analysis qualitative. Results of research indicate that the use of internet by the informants based on the ease of access and a large quantity of information. Model used in the search information is Ellis-Wilson models. There are obstacles in the search that comes from individuals and the internet system itself In this study suggested the information literacy on academic community and improve the Internet performance."

"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai perilaku pencarian informasi mahasiswa dalam menggunakan ChatGPT. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk memahami penggunaan ChatGPT dalam proses pencarian informasi mahasiswa dan membandingkan penggunaan ChatGPT pada mahasiswa bidang sains teknologi dengan sosial humaniora untuk keperluan pencarian informasi. Data pada penelitian ini didapatkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur terhadap dua orang informan yang terdiri dari satu mahasiswa saintek dan satu mahasiswa soshum. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan menganalisis penggunaan ChatGPT oleh mahasiswa berdasarkan model perilaku pencarian Ellis untuk kemudian dilakukan perbandingan perilaku pencarian informasi antara mahasiswa saintek dengan mahasiswa soshum. Hasil dari analisis data menyebutkan bahwa tidak ditemukan perbedaan signifikan antara mahasiswa saintek dan soshum dalam menggunakan ChatGPT pada proses pencarian informasi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah diskusi, yakni teori perilaku pencarian informasi saat ini belum mampu mengakomodasi penggunaan AI sebagai sumber informasi, sehingga perlu adanya pengembangan teori perilaku pencarian informasi dengan memasukkan peran AI ke dalam proses pencarian informasi.

This study discusses the information seeking behavior of students using ChatGPT. The research aims to understand the utilization of ChatGPT in the information seeking process of students and compare its usage between STEAM and social sciences and humanities (SSH) students. Data for this study were obtained through semi-structured interviews with two informants, one from the STEAM field and one from the SSH field. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods, analyzing the usage of ChatGPT by students based on Ellis' information seeking behavior model, followed by a comparison of information seeking behavior between STEAM and SSH students. The results of the data analysis indicate that there were no significant differences in the usage of ChatGPT between STEAM and SSH students in the information seeking process. The study generates a discussion highlighting the current inadequacy of information seeking behavior theories to accommodate the role of AI as an information source. Therefore, there is a need for the development of information seeking behavior theories that incorporate the role of AI in the information seeking process."
