"Karsinogenesis serviks tidak hanya terkait dengan infeksi human papillomavirus (HPV), tetapi juga terkait dengan berbagai faktor risiko, termasuk infeksi C.trachomatis dan Mycoplasma spp., U. Urealyticum, dan U. parvum. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan infeksi Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma spp., U.urealyticum, dan U.parvum sebagai faktor risiko infeksi HPV pada kasus kanker serviks. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain casecontrol dengan 68 sampel yang dikumpulkan dari pasien yang dirawat di 5 Klinik di Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia, dari Juli-November 2014. Dari 68 pasien, 22 pasien positif HPV high-risk (hrHPV) dengan kanker serviks(kelompok kasus)dan 46 pasien negatif HPV non kanker serviks (kelompok kontrol). Deteksi HPV menggunakan Roche Linear Array HPV Test Kit, sementara deteksi bakteri menggunakan Real Time PCR kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Terdapat perbedaan bermakna rata-rata usia 8 tahun ([p = <0,0001]) antara kelompok kanker serviks (46 tahun) dan kelompok kontrol (38 tahun). Tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara infeksi C. trachomatis dan Mycoplasma spp., U. urealyticum, dan U. parvum dengan HPV secara kualitatif. Namun, terdapat hubungan bermakna secara kuantitatif pada jumlah DNA relatif Mycoplasma spp.pada kelompok kasus dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (p = 0,028).

This study aimed to determined the association of infection Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma spp., Ureaplasma urealyticum and U. Parvum with HPV in cervical cancer cases.This study used a case-control design with 68 samples collected from patients treated in 5 gynecologic centers in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, between July-November 2014. Of 68 patients, 22 were the high-risk HPV (hrHPV) positive patients (case group) with cervical cancer and 46 were the HPV negative patients (control group) with non cervical cancer. HPVs were detected and typed by Roche Linear Array HPV Test Kit, while bacteria were detected by qualitaitive and quantitative real time PCR assays.There was a significant difference of mean age (8 years old [p= <0.0001]) between the cervical cancer group (46 years) and control group (38 years). There was no significant association of C. trachomatis and Mycoplasma spp., U. Urealyticum, and U. parvum qualitatively with HPV. However, we found a significant association of relative DNA quantity of Mycoplasma spp. in the case group with the control group (p=0.028).There were the significant difference of mean age and the significant association of relative DNA quantity of Mycoplasma spp. between the case and control groups. In the future study, it is important to understand the role of the factors in increasing the risk for cervical cancer disease."
