Trefethen, Lloyd N.
"Numerical Linear Algebra is a concise, insightful, and elegant introduction to the field of numerical linear algebra. Designed for use as a stand-alone textbook in a one-semester, graduate-level course in the topic, it has already been class-tested by MIT and Cornell graduate students from all fields of mathematics, engineering, and the physical sciences. The authors' clear, inviting style and evident love of the field, along with their eloquent presentation of the most fundamental ideas in numerical linear algebra, make it popular with teachers and students alike.
Numerical Linear Algebra aims to expand the reader's view of the field and to present the core, standard material in a novel way. It is a perfect companion volume to the encyclopedic treatment of the topic that already exists in Golub and Van Loan's now-classic Matrix Computations. All of the most important topics in the field, including iterative methods for systems of equations and eigenvalue problems and the underlying principles of conditioning and stability, are covered. Trefethen and Bau offer a fresh perspective on these and other topics, such as an emphasis on connections with polynomial approximation in the complex plane.
Numerical Linear Algebra is presented in the form of 40 lectures, each of which focuses on one or two central ideas. Throughout, the authors emphasize the unity between topics, never allowing the reader to get lost in details and technicalities. The book breaks with tradition by beginning not with Gaussian elimination, but with the QR factorization--a more important and fresher idea for students, and the thread that connects most of the algorithms of numerical linear algebra, including methods for least squares, eigenvalue, and singular value problems, as well as iterative methods for all of these and for systems of equations.

Demmel, James W.
"Designed for first-year graduate students from a variety of engineering and scientific disciplines, this comprehensive textbook covers the solution of linear systems, least squares problems, eigenvalue problems, and the singular value decomposition. The author, who helped design the widely used LAPACK and ScaLAPACK linear algebra libraries, draws on this experience to present state-of-the-art techniques for these problems, including recommending which algorithms to use in various practical situations. Algorithms are derived in a mathematically illuminating way, including condition numbers and error bounds. Direct and iterative algorithms, suitable for dense and sparse matrices, are discussed. Algorithm design for modern computer architectures, where moving data is often more expensive than arithmetic operations, is discussed in detail, using LAPACK as an illustration. There are many numerical examples throughout the text and in the problems at the ends of chapters, most of which are written in MATLAB and are freely available on the Web."

The breakdown of 4 wires simultaneously in the Java - Bali system can cause a decline in the frequency due to the loss of 339,9 MW energy supply. This decrease can adversely impact the performance of the system thus frequency needed to be returned to normal conditions . Returns of the frequency of the initial value can be achieved by a load shedding scheme with gradual step.
In this study, load shedding simulation is done by trial and error using DIgSILENT PowerFactory software to achieve ideal frequency conditions, which is approximately 50 Hz. From the simulation, we found that the best condition is achieved by using Scheme II, a 3 steps load shedding scheme with similar ratio per step, which reach a maximum frequency of 49,94 Hz and is reached within 9,068 seconds."

In 2009-2018, Indonesia's electricity consumption increased by 63%, to 1.06 MWH/capita in 2018. With the growth in electricity consumption and power plants that make the system more complex, of course, there is the possibility of a disturbance in the electrical power system which can cause system instability, even causing a complete blackout or blackout., it can even cause a complete blackout or blackout. To mitigate blackout, it is necessary to have a defense scheme so that the system can return immediately in the event of a disturbance. One of the defense schemes is to use load shedding with Under Frequency Relay (UFR). With electricity consumption increasing every year, it is necessary to study the ability of existing load shedding schemes to protect the system over time. One of East Indonesia power system, which has an average growth in electricity consumption of 8.81% per year and is only connected to Geothermal Power Plants. This system will be tested for the resistance of the load shedding system to various disturbances with a prediction of load growth in 2022-2024. The system will be disturbed by stability analysis using the DIgSILENT PowerFactory software. After the disturbance simulation is carried out, several case studies have unstable frequency and voltage, so that adjustments need to be made such as using a tap changer and operating Gas Power Plant."

The greatest influence of earthquake waves on buildings is often calculated based on the lateral force received. As a result of the lateral force being received, the structure will experience movement. Movements that occur in building structures due to lateral forces can be engineered with various types of earthquake resistant steel structures. One of them is an Eccentrically Braced Frame-Vertical Shear Link system because it has good ductility, stiffness, and strength. In addition, extreme inelastic deformation is localized to the Vertical Shear Link element, in order to avoid damage to the main element. This type of structural engineering can have an effect on the damage index on the structure. A method to determine the level of damage received by the structure is Damage index. Park & Ang's Damage Index is a Damage index commonly used because it has a clear physics concept that is a combination of deformation per cycle and ductility or energy absorption capacity parameters. Damage index calculation can be done by analyzing the results of monotonic and semi-cyclic loading graphs on the structure. Damage index has a value of 0 to 1, 0 to indicate the structure in a complete condition and 1 when the structure has collapsed or has reached deformation control. As the level of structural damage increases, the structural stiffness will decrease due to the plastic joints in the structure are weakened. This phenomenon causes the natural frequency of the structure to decrease with increasing structural damage. This thesis has found the correlation between the damage index and the natural frequency of the structure which has an inverse relationship."
