"Mechanical A-road transport is a very modern innovation, whose international history may be said to have begun only with the influence of the pneumatic tyre on cycling in the 1890s and the subsequent evolution of the internal combustion engine. The first
draft of an international air navigation convention, was the first international convention for the regulation of motor traffic signed. International road transport questions may be broadly divided into two categories, the Highway and the Traffic.
This book divides some countries such as Europe, Africa, India, Middle East, and
America explaining the road freight transport, postal and electricity.

"Southeast Asia, as the world fastest growing market, has become the destination for multinational companies to operate their businesses. The increasing number of companies in the region will result in raised levels of CO2 emissions because of their transport and logistics activity. This paper aims to develop a CO2 emissions framework by considering the actual conditions of the region, and by calculating the level of emissions with a case study of Indonesia. Several steps were involved in the design of the framework. First, research was conducted on available frameworks which estimate CO2 emissions in logistics. Second, the model for CO2 emissions calculation was built by breaking down all the factors influencing calculations. Third, the model was applied using distribution network data of companies in Indonesia. The output of the research is a framework which helps companies to calculate CO2 emissions, and which gauges the level of such emissions generated by companies operating in Indonesia. In addition, the impact of the different distribution network scenarios on the amount of CO2 emissions produced is assessed."

"This paper introduces a holistic view to intelligent transport systems (ITS) by providing four different perspectives: the technological, economic, system performance and market views. These perspectives are essential for a thorough understanding of ITS systems, which extend beyond traditional transportation engineering. ITS require management tools related to systems engineering (i.e. architectures); unique features are related to transport economics, and they differ from traditional transport engineering solutions. ITS technologies can improve transport system performance in numerous ways; furthermore, ITS is an important business segment for many technology companies and an industry by its own right. Different types of expertise and management are required for this meta-system, which is comparable to the entire transport system in terms of organisational objectives."

"ABSTRAK
The Ministry of Trade revealed that there are 41 wet markets in 12 provinces in Indonesia suffering from damage, 50 percent of which are due to incomplete and inadequate market facilities. From a survey of 3,956 markets, 95 percent of them have a physical building over 25 years. In Banyumas regency there are two wet markets that have experienced the revitalization program, namely those in Cilongok and Sokaraja. However, this research focused on Cilongok market. This research aims to compare consumer assessment toward the level of cleanliness, safety, orderliness, and lighting, level of favorability and frequency of consumer visit to Cilongokwetmarket. This study used a comparative descriptive method to compare costumers' assessment. The before-after approach is used to assess the effectiveness of the treatment, characterized by an average difference before and after treatment. This research surveyed 100 respondents selected by accidental sampling. Data were collected by questionnaire-based exit interview. Data of the assessment pre-revitalization are obtained by recall method. Data were then analyzed using paired sample t-test. The results show that consumer assessment toward the level of cleanliness, safety, orderliness, and lighting of the Cilongokwet market after revitalization is higher than that before revitalization. Moreover, their level of favorability and frequency of visiting the market are higher, too. The results imply that revitalization of wet markets has been perceived positively by consumers, which has affected their frequency of shopping, thereby improving the competitiveness of the wet market against the modern market."
