"The research was conducted to understand seed germination and seedling growth of Artocarpus altissimus. The experimental design used was completely randomized with 2 factors, i.e. seed storability and media factors for the response capacity of germination, media and NPK fertilizer factors for seedling growth response (height and number of leaves). The result showed that A. altissimus seeds had long enough storability/ potential age without a period of dormancy. Storability, media and interaction both showed very significant effect on the germination capacity with the highest mean value on the storability category of 3 and 1 month and media category of compost and sand. On variable of seedlings height, NPK fertilizer showed significant effect, media and interaction of media and NPK had very significant effect with the best factor category was a media category of TSKn (soil, chaff and manure)."

"The objective were to know the base medium, growth regulator concentration of Kinetin, and combination of this treatment that had the best response to rooting phase of Sandalwood. This study was expected to play role in contributing great advantages to support the plant material provision in operational scale.
Generally, the protocol of tissue culture of Sandalwood had been acknowledged, however there were still problems on rooting phase. Therefore the study wasfocused on 1/2 MS medium application, 1/2 GD, and 1/2 WPM, also application of Kinetin in different levels of concentration (0; 0,25; 0,50; 0,75; and 1 mg/1) on root development in Sandalwood.
Study result concluded that the base medium of 1/2 MS and application of Plant Growth Regulators IBA 20 mg/1 combined with IAA 1 mg/1, and treatment of 0,75 mg/1 Kinetin concentration had the best response to growth and enlargement of Sandalwood root."

"Jeruk nipis atau Citrus aurantifolia (Christm. & panz.) Swingle merupakan tanaman yang sangat bermanfaat baik sebagai bahan obat maupun sebagai bahan makanan. Pengadaannya di pasaran saat ini tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang semakin meningkat. Oleh karena itu diperlukan pengadaan tanaman jeruk nipis dalam jumlah besar. Salah satu cara perbanyakan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan cara setek. Diketahui pula bahwa pemberian zat pengatur tumbuh IAA dapat merangsang pembentukan akar. Berdasarkan hal tersebut di atas, maka dilakukan penelitian terhadap pertumbuhan setek C. aurantifolia dengan pemberian berbagai konsentrasi IAA dengan kisaran 100 ppm - 600 ppm dan lama perendaman 12 jam. Pertumbuhan yang diukur adalah: jumlah dan panjang akar yang terbentuk serta pertambahan berat basah tanaman. Hasil uji peringkat Bertanda Wilcoxon pada taraf nyata a = 0,05 menunjukkan adanya pengaruh IAA pada konsentrasi 400 ppm dan 500 ppm terhadap jumlah akar; konsentrasi IAA 400 ppm, 500 ppm, dan 600 ppm terhadap panjang akar, serta berbagai konsentrasi IAA terhadap pertambahan berat basah. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa IAA dapat meningkatkan sistem perakaran pada setek pucuk C. aurantifolia."
