"Genshin Impact adalah permainan RPG (role-playing game) dengan aksi open-world yang diluncurkan pada tanggal 28 September 2020 oleh miHoYo (上海米哈游网络科技股份有限公司 Shànghǎi mǐ hā yóu wǎngluò kējì gǔfèn yǒuxiàn gōngsī) di Shanghai, Cina. Salah satu tokoh dalam permainan Genshin Impact yang bernama Chongyun memiliki kemampuan mengusir roh jahat seperti yang dilakukan oleh pendeta Tao di Cina. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai kemiripan antara tokoh Chongyun dalam permainan Genshin Impact dengan pendeta Tao dalam ritual pengusiran roh jahat yang ditinjau dari aspek kostum, gerakan tangan dan jari, serta jimat yang digunakan. Penulis mengumpulkan data penelitian dari permainan Genshin Impact versi 4.3, serta sejumlah referensi tertulis berupa buku dan artikel jurnal, maupun referensi tidak tertulis berupa video mengenai pendeta Tao dalam ritual pengusiran roh jahat yang diunduh dari YouTube. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa tokoh Chongyun tidak sepenuhnya mirip dengan pendeta Tao dalam aspek kostum, gerakan tangan dan jari, serta jimat. Desain tokoh Chongyun yang tidak sepenuhnya mirip dengan pendeta Tao tetap dipertahankan dengan mempertimbangkan aspek efisiensi dan estetika gameplay dalam permainan Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact is an action open world RPG (role-playing game) launched on September 28th, 2020 by miHoYo (上海米哈游网络科技股份有限公司 Shànghǎi mǐ hā yóu wǎngluò kējì gǔfèn yǒuxiàn gōngsī) in Shanghai, China. One of the characters in Genshin Impact, Chongyun, possesses the ability to exorcise evil spirits, similar to the practices of Taoist priests in China. This study examines the similarities between Chongyun in Genshin Impact and Taoist priest during exorcism rituals, focusing on aspects such as costume, hand and finger movements, and talismans used. The author collected research data from Genshin Impact version 4.3, as well as a number of written references including books and journal articles, and non-written references such as videos on Taoist exorcism rituals downloaded from YouTube. The research results indicates that Chongyun’s character does not fully resemble Taoist priests in terms of costume, hand and finger movements, and talismans. The differences in Chongyun's design are maintained to ensure efficiency and aesthetic appeal within the gameplay of Genshin Impact."
