"The research explain the interaction of religion and politics during the legislative election of April 9 and the Presidential Election of July 9, 2014 in considering the status of women. Feminist approaches are often suspricious or cannot believe how the alliance of these two terms (religion and politics) can truly server the mandate for gender justice and social justice. Explanation of the General Election data affirms the vulnerable status of women and the other groups, both within the structure of polital parties, proportion of MP's and in the executive development paradigm of the incoming President. The entire women's movement, paradigmatically and practically, needs to work together, shoulder to shoulder, in order to analyse, criticise and nurture these narratives of justice for an equal society in the coming 2014-2019 cabinet period."

Hansen, Susan B.
"The American cultural landscape has shifted considerably since the 1990s. As church attendance has declined, seculars have increased in number and in political involvement. The economy was supposed to be the most important issue in the 2008 and 2012 elections, but social issues such as gay rights and the status of women actually had a greater impact on vote choice. Moral issues and perceptions of candidate morality had less effect on voters in 2004 than in 2008. These arguments directly challenge the conventional wisdom concerning the 2004 and 2008 elections, which were supposedly decided on the basis of moral values and the economy respectively. Yet in The Politics of Sex, Susan B. Hansen justifies these claims theoretically based on evidence about how voters actually evaluate candidates. Hansen explores trends in public opinion on abortion, gay rights, and the status of women and finds that "values voters" are still crucial in presidential elections, even those supposedly fought over economic or foreign-policy issues. She then analyzes campaign strategies and vote choice to show how Barack Obama made effective use of the liberal trends in public opinion on social issues in 2008 and 2012. Hansen also examines trends in demographics, religious involvement, the institutional setting, and public opinion to predict who in future years benefit from the politics of sex. By providing an historical perspective on the changing impact of morality politics on presidential elections, this book will show how and why the politics of sex now favors the Democratic Party"

Presidential system agreed to be built after the amendment of the Constitution of 1945 (UUD 1945) will work effectively in case of congruent government occured, a condition in which the president as a leader of The Presidency in running of the government power have got good support by the majority of political parties in the House of Representatives (DPR). One of the efforts to make government congruent, attended by the Constitutional Court Decision No. 14/PUU-XI/2013 requiring an concurrent elections in 2019 and beyond. This research will discuss the practice of concurrent elections in Brazil, Bolivia, and Panama, which was then use as one of the materials to assess the potential for establish congruent government in Indonesia when concurrent elections wiil be held in 2019. The results of the research in these three countries, despite not always, shows that the concurrent elections have impact in creating a congruent government, eventhough with different notes. For Indonesia, concurrent elections can not easily create congruent government, so that still need necessary number of improvements, such as by changing the president electoral system."

"
ABSTRACTThis journal discusses about the presidential elections in Indonesia in 2014 that presents a new phenomenon in the process of democratization in Indonesia. This phenomenon is one of the social media. This happens because Indonesia has become one of the countries with the highest number of social media users in the world. Growing public opinion on social media influenced by the opening of opportunities to access the Internet that makes the internet (social media) into the medium to convey the message of the democratic party in Indonesia. Social media turns into a contemporary public space filled by people who expression their voice opinions. However, when freedom of expression in support of candidates for president and vice president are influenced by a successful team and partisan, the role of criticism in the public sphere becomes ever lost and public space functions as a control tool for the government becomes faded."
