"This book analyses social change in Russia, in particular the development of a middle class, one of the most important social and political projects of Putin’s administration.Using unique survey data collected in 1998, 2007 and 2015, the authors make extensive and theoretically justified analyses of the changing social distinctions in Russia over the past 20 years. Offering a sophisticated analysis of classes and class they acknowledge that in class analysis there are different phases, requiring different concepts. The first phase is the analysis of class positions; the second is the study of the work and reproduction situations of class groups and the final step is the analysis of class interests. While acknowledging that there are a number Russian-specific factors that seriously complicate traditional class analysis, the authors maintain that the basic tenets of class analysis still hold true.The book will be of interest to students and scholars of sociology, political science, transition studies, social policy and Russian studies and anyone who wants to understand the internal divisions and organization of the middle class in Russia."

Penggunaan rok oleh laki-laki pada beberapa tahun ke belakang kian menuai kontroversi di mana cara berpakaian tersebut dianggap tidak sesuai dengan konstruksi sosial atas pemaknaan maskulinitas, terutama di negara Rusia di mana maskulinitas laki-laki gencar dipropagandakan melalui media dan cenderung masih tertutup pada satu pemahaman sehingga fenomena ini menjadi permasalahan tersendiri ketika dijadikan senjata bagi para kaum penentang toxic masculinity dalam melawan stigma yang berlaku. Data yang diperoleh berasal dari publikasi-publikasi dan artikel internet dengan kata kunci Men in Skirt, Boys in Skirt, serta Мужчины в Юбках dan akan diteliti dengan metode etnografi trend dalam penelitian media sosial. Dalam penelitian ini penulis akan menganalisis fenomena berdasarkan teori The Fashion System dari Roland Barthes dan teori maskulinitas dari Dr. Terry A. Kupers (2005). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah ditemukannya pemaknaan dari tren Men in Skirt sebagai sebuah upaya perlawanan terhadap stigma maskulinitas yang memenjarakan kaum laki-laki dari kebebasan berekspresi.

This study discusses the "Men in Skirt" fashion trend as a form of resistance to the stigma of toxic masculinity in Russia. The use of skirts by men in recent years has sparked controversy where the way of dressing is considered inconsistent with the social construction of the meaning of masculinity, especially in Russia where male masculinity is heavily propagated through the media and the tendency is closed to one meaning, so that this phenomenon becomes a problem when it is used as a weapon for opponents of toxic masculinity in fighting the prevailing stigma. The data obtained comes from internet publications and articles with the keywords Men in Skirt, Boys in Skirt, and Мужчины в Юбках and will be investigated using trend ethnographic methods in social media research. In this study the writer will analyze the phenomenon based on the theory of The Fashion System from Roland Barthes and the theory of masculinity from Dr. Terry A. Kupers (2005). The result of this research is the finding of the meaning of the Men in Skirt trend as a way to fight against the stigma of masculinity that imprison men from freedom of expression."

"Tugas akhir ini membahas mengenai pola relasi antara negara dan oposisi non-sistemik dari perseteruan politik yang terjadi di Rusia dalam kurun waktu 2017 hingga 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang bersifat eksplanatif. Teori contentious politics yang dipadu dengan model sumbu motivasi dan perilaku menjadi alat analisis penelitian ini yang mencoba mengkaji bagaimana perseteruan politik yang terjadi di Rusia pada tahun 2017 hingga 2019 membentuk pola relasi antara negara dan oposisi non-sistemik. Melalui pendekatan Synthetic Political Opportunity Theory (SPOT) yang berada dalam teori contentious politics, penelitian ini mengkaji secara mendalam masing-masing kekuatan negara dan oposisi non-sistemik yang diidentifikasi memiliki pengaruh dengan berlangsungnya perseteruan politik yang terjadi dan penggunaan model sumbu motivasi dan perilaku untuk mengidentifikasi pola relasi negara dan oposisi non-sistemik dari perseteruan politik tersebut.

This paper discusses about the pattern of relations between state and non-systemic opposition through the contentious politics that occurred in Russia in the period 2017 to 2019. This study uses qualitative methods. With the help of the broadened contentious politics theory that include motivational and behavioral axes, this research examines how the political dispute that occurred in Russia in 2017 to 2019 made patterns of relations between countries and non-systemic opposition. Through the approach of Synthetic Political Opportunity Theory (SPOT) which is in accordance with the contentious politics theory, this study examines thoroughly each power that state and non-systemic opposition had that predispose the occurrence of the dispute and the inclusion of behavioral and motivasional axes gives allows the researcher to examine and identify the relationship pattern between state and non-systemic opposition."
