"ABSTRAK
After 70 years of Indonesias independence, the development of Indonesias forestry remains complex and complicated. Forests, that have contributed significant economic growth, nowadays are facing some challenges. Many issues come across, such as deforestation, forest concessions bankrupt, and land conflicts. Many experts claim that the underlying cause of these problems is related to the uncertainty of forest area and forest tenure. These problems do not only bring negative effects to society but also hinder other development agendas. Thus, Indonesia needs to reform its forest area and forest tenure. This idea is knowing as forest reform or agrarian reform or forest tenure reform. This article explains the facts of forest unfair tenure, the fact of forest cover in Indonesia, pros and cons about forest tenure reform, using strategic environmental assessment to evaluate forest tenure reform, and also proposal policy framework. Currently, the government is preparing the mid term development plan, later we call it as RPJMN, 2020 until 2024. As forest tenure reform is important as an enabling condition for the development in the forestry sector, thus the forest tenure reform should be included as national project priority in RPJMN 2020 until 2024."

Hutan Kota UI mampu menyerap karbon sebesar 612.259ton/ha (6,17triliun rupiah). Masyarakat merasa senang dengan keberadaan hutan kota sehingga status sosiobioekologi Hutan Kota UI adalah baik.

Population growth in Depok City in the last 20 years was recorded to have doubled from 2020, causing a change in land from vegetation cover to non-vegetation. This study aims to examine the structure of vegetation composition and bird diversity in the UI City Forest based on NDVI, analyze the effect of vegetation density on surface temperature (LST) and soil moisture (NDMI), assess its ability to absorb carbon, analyze community perceptions and build socio-bioecology concepts of sustainable urban forests in the UI Urban Forest. The method used is a mixed method using quantitative and qualitative. The results showed no difference in the vegetation diversity but a significant difference bird each NDVI class. UI Urban Forest can absorb carbon of 612,258 tons/ha (6.17 trillion rupiahs) also the community perception is happy with the urban forest’s existence so that the socio-bioecological status of the UI City Forest is good."

konservasi Vulnerable, dan 12 spesies lain memiliki status konservasi Low Risk.

ABSTRACT
Analysis of the composition, structure, and tree regeneration of the lowland forest
in the eastern part of the core zone of the Bukit Duabelas National Park, Jambi
was conducted in October and November 2012. The study was carried out on a
one-hectare plot laid out on a slope of a lowland hill forest. A total of 100
quadrats of 10 m x 10 m each was used to obtain data trees, and plots measuring 5
m x 5 m and 1 m x 1 m each were nestled in sapling quadrates to secure data of
saplings and seedlings. We recorded 414 trees with diameter at breast height
(DBH) ≥ 10 cm, representing 113 species of 38 families, with the total basal area
(BA) of 25.71 m2 and Shannon--Wiener diversity index of 4,29. A total of 282
individuals were recorded representing 88 species of 34 families at the sapling
stage and 222 individuals of seedlings representing 67 species of 32 families. The
prevalent species of tree was Prunus arborea with Importance Value (IV) of
19.2%. Ficus fistulosa was the tree species with the highest density (24 trees/ha).
The highest density of seedlings was Rinorea anguifera (24 trees/ha) and the
highest density of saplings was Ficus fistulosa (15 trees/ha). Moraceae with IV
34,05% was dominant in the study site at tree stage, while Violaceae and
Burseraceae with each IV 28.31% and 25.67% were dominant at seedlings and
saplings stage. A total of 71 species or 62.8% of all tree species were
regenerating in the plot. Based on the density of seedlings, saplings and trees, the
species of Euphorbiaceae showed a good regenerating capability and expected to
be the dominant family in the future in the area. A total of 61 species are
registered in the Sumatra checklist and one of them is endemic, which was
Baccaurea dulcis. Following the IUCN redlist we categorized Shorea leprosula
as an endangered species, Aquilaria malaccensis as a vulnerable species, and 12
others as species with low risk."

ABSTRACT
Study on the composition, structure, and regeneration of the lowland forest in the western part of the core zone of the Bukit Duabelas National Park, Jambi, was conducted in October-November 2012. A one-hectare plot was established on a flatland, over a ridge. It was divided into 100 quadrats of 10 x 10 m each for the enumeration of trees. Subplots of 5x5 m and 1x1 m were nested within the 10x10 m quadrats for enumeration of saplings and seedlings. The results showed that as many as 463 trees with a diameter at breast height (DBH) ≥ 10 cm were recorded, representing 91 species and 36 families, with a total basal area (BA) of 27.21 m2 and the Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H ') of 4.04. The prevalent species in the plot was Archidendron bubalinum with highest importance value (IV) of 13.93%, followed by Dacryodes sp. with IV of 12.32% and Antidesma neurocarpum with IV of 12.17%. Archidendron bubalinum was the species with the highest density (29 trees/ha) and highest frequency (22). Koompassia malacensis from Caesalpiniaceae was a species having the highest BA 2.23 m2 or 8.18% of the total BA in the plot. Burseraceae (32.73%) and Dipterocarpaceae (25.78%) were a families with the highest IV, while the families with the highest number of species recorded was Euphorbiaceae (7 species). A total of 12 species (71 individuals) occurring in the plot were listed in the IUCN redlist category, 2 of which were in the category of Critically Endangered (Prashorea lucida and Shorea acuminata), Endangered (Shorea leprosula), Lower Risk (8 species), and vulnerable (1 species). We recorded 511 individuals of tree seedling, representing 57 species and 32 families. At the sapling stage 570 individuals were recorded representing 87 species and 36 families. Out of 10 species of tree with the highest density, 6 species (Archidendron bubalinum, Antidesma neurocarpum, Dacryodes sp., Hydnocarpus sp., Knema laurina, and Ochanostachys sp.) had a good number of saplings and seedlings. Only four species had individuals at sapling stage (Koompassia malacensis, Parashorea lucida, Leptonychia caudata, and Dacryodes rostrata). A total of 65 species or 71.43% of all tree species were regenerating in plot."
