"Skripsi ini membahas judul berita pada halaman pertama harian Renmin Ribao khususnya 大标题dàbiāotí 'judul besar' dan主题zhǔtí ?judul utama?dari aspek linguistis dan nonlinguistis. Analisis aspek linguistis dilakukan secara sintaktis yang dilandasi oleh fakta bahwa judul berita adalah kalimat. Analisis nonlinguistis dilakukan dengan metode mengamati dan mencatat penampilan fisik judul berita yang harus mampu menarik perhatian pembaca. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada beberapa kaidah dalam penulisan judul berita yang muncul secara teratur, seperti pola kalimat seringkali SPO, seringkali kalimat aktif, kalimat verbal, kalimat tunggal, kalimat deklaratif, kalimat lengkap, ditulis secara horizontal, rata tengah atau kiri, berita yang sangat berwarna merah dan kaidah tersebut tidak melanggar tata bahasa baku bahasa Mandarin.

The focus of this study is an analysis of headlines on first page of People?s Daily especially大标题dàbiāotí 'big title' dan主题zhǔtí ?main title? from two aspects, linguistic and nonlinguistic. In linguistic aspect, headlines are analyzed by using syntactical function method based on fact that headlines are sentences. In nonlinguistic aspect, headlines are analyzed by inspecting and taking note method based on statement which state that headlines have to be attractive. Result has showed that there are some forms in writing headlines, and those that forms do not neglect the grammar of Mandarin language."
