"Penulisan ini berfokus terhadap masalah penyesuaian diri remaja bina asuh yang baru memasuki Lembaga Kesejahteraan Sosial Anak (LKSA) terhadap aturan, kegiatan, teman dan pengasuh. Topik ini penting untuk karena remaja bina asuh yang belum berhasil menyesuaikan diri akan menunjukkan perilaku yang tidak sesuai dengan norma dan nilai LKSA. Penulisan dilakukan pada tahun 2021 pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tinjauan pustaka terhadap sumber literatur seperti jurnal, buku, dan penelitian terkait remaja yang melakukan penyesuaian diri di berbagai lembaga kesejahteraan sosial anak. Karya akhir ini menganalisis bagaimana penyesuaian diri dan perubahan perilaku serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penyesuaian diri remaja bina asuh. Dari tujuh penelitian yang telah dianalisis, lima diantaranya menyatakan remaja dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan baik dan menunjukkan perubahan perilaku yaitu menaati peraturan dan kegiatan yang ada di LKSA, mampu berinteraksi dengan membangun hubungan yang harmonis dengan teman sebaya serta dapat menghormati pengasuhnya. Sedangkan dua penelitian menyatakan bahwa remaja bina asuh belum bisa menyesuaikan diri di LKSA dengan menunjukkan perilaku yang masih melanggar aturan dan tidak mengikuti kegiatan di LKSA. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh faktor internal dan juga faktor eksternal yang memengaruhi remaja dalam menyesuaikan diri. Faktor internal terdiri dari karakteristik kepribadian, pengalaman mengatasi masalah dan kondisi emosi, inteligensi, konsep diri, self compassion. Adapun faktor eksternal-nya adalah jaringan dukungan pribadi yang terdiri dari dukungan keluarga dan teman sebaya, serta faktor sumber daya dan layanan
This research focuses on the problem of self-adjustment of adolescents to the rules, activities, friends and caregivers at the orphanages. This topic is important to analyze because adolescents who have not managed to adjust will show behavior which is not in accordance with orphanage’s norms and values. This study was conducted in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used is literature review, where the writer analyzes various iteratures such as journals, books, and related reports to form a conclusion. This is done so that the authors can reach various data on how adolescents can make self- adjustments in various child social welfare institutions. First, the authors analyze how self-adjustment and changes in adolescent behavior while in social institutions. Then, the author analyzes what factors influence adolescent self-adjustment. Of the seven studies that have been analyzed, five of them stated that adolescents can adjust well and show behavioral changes, namely obeying the rules and activities in institution, being able to interact by building harmonious relationships with peers and being able to respect their caregivers. Meanwhile, two studies stated that adolescents have not been able to adjust with institution showing behavior that still violates the rules and does not participate in activities. This is caused by internal and external factors that affect adolescents in adjusting. Internal factors consist of personality characteristics, problem solving experience, intelligence, self concept, and self compassion. The external factor is a personal support network consisting of family and peer support, and resource and service factors."
