"Pada tahun 1950-an, Nouvelle Vague dianggap sebagai salah satu gerakan sinematik paling berpengaruh dalam sejarah. Gerakan ini bertepatan dengan periode les trentes glorieuses yang membawa Prancis ke periode tiga puluh tahun keemasannya karena pertumbuhan ekonomi yang pesat. Artikel ini berfokus pada simbolisasi persahabatan dalam konteks multikultural dalam film Monsieur Ibrahim et les Fleurs du Coran oleh Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt. Monsieur Ibrahim et les Fleurs du Coran adalah sebuah film tentang seorang remaja lelaki Yahudi bernama Momo yang bersahabat dengan seorang pria Muslim tua bernama Ibrahim. Persahabatan yang ada di lingkungan multikultural menciptakan simbol persahabatan yang muncul secara implisit. Dengan
menggunakan metode studi kajian sinema, analisis dimulai dengan menggambarkan struktur dan strategi naratif yang mencakup alur dan latar, kemudian aspek sinematografi meliputi visual, audio dan musik. Alur dalam film ini didorong oleh persahabatan Momo dan Ibrahim yang melibatkan latar belakang budaya yang berbeda. Dengan menggunakan studi semiotik oleh Roland Barthes, hasil analisis yang lebih dalam menunjukkan makna di balik objek persahabatan yang muncul di antara tokoh dalam film. Kemurnian, toleransi, dan filosofi kehidupan ditemukan dalam objek yang muncul dalam film. Aspek multikultural dalam film ini tidak hanya berisi tentang ras dan agama, tetapi juga hubungan antar generasi.

In 1950s, Nouvelle Vague is considered as one of the most influential cinematic movement of history. This movement coincided with les trentes glorieuses period that brought France to thirty years of golden period because a rapid economic growth. This article focuses on the symbolization of friendship in a multicultural context in the film Monsieur Ibrahim et les Fleurs du Coran by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt. Monsieur Ibrahim et les Fleurs du Coran is a film about a teenage Jewish boy named Momo who had a friendship with an old Muslim man named Ibrahim. The friendship that exists in a multicultural neighborhood creates a symbol of friendship that appears implicitly.
Using the method of cinema study, the analysis begins by describing the structure and narrative strategy that includes plot and settings, then the cinematographic aspects include the visual, audio and music illustration. The plot of the film is driven by the friendship of Momo and Ibrahim that involves different cultural backgrounds. By using semiotic study by Roland Barthes, the results of deeper analysis show the meaning behind the object of friendship that appears between the
characters of the film. Purity, tolerance, and philosophy of life are found in the object that appears in the film. The multicultural aspects in the film are not only contain about race and religion, but also intergenerational-friendly relations.menggunakan metode studi kajian sinema, analisis dimulai dengan menggambarkan struktur dan strategi naratif yang mencakup alur dan latar, kemudian aspek sinematografi meliputi visual, audio dan musik. "Film merupakan ekspresi seni yang diciptakan secara massal oleh sekelompok seniman dengan berbagai keahlian. Sebagai ekspresi seni, film selalu berbicara' tentang sesuatu. Film memiliki pesan yang dibicarakan melalui penyajian naratif dan bentuknya. Film Monsieur Ibrahim et Les Fleurs du Coran secara keseluruhan ingin menyampaikan pesan tentang perdamaian yang seharusnya dapat tercipta di antara agama, generasi, gender dan negara melalui upaya untuk memahami dan memposisikan diri secara fleksibel dengan melakukan perjalanan melintas batas.
Dalam teks ini, peneliti mempertanyakan kondisi multikultur dan pesan perdamaian yang ditampilkan. Bagaimana keduanya dibicarakan, siapa yang membicarakannya dan bagaimana strategi-strategi untuk menciptakan perdamaian dalam kondisi multikultur muncul di dalam naratif dan bentuk film. Analisis terhadap kondisi multikultur dan pesan perdamaian di dalam film Monsieur Ibrahim et Les Fleurs du Coran dengan menggunakan teori tentang struktur film, representasi, dan identitas yang cair menunjukkan bahwa film ini membicarakan kondisi multikultur dan perdamaian dalam konteks hubungan antara pusat dan pinggiran dalam wacana kebudayaan. Pusat dalam film ini adalah Prancis-Eropa, Yahudi, maskulin dan generasi tua. Sementara pinggiran adalah Turki-Mediterania, Islam, feminin dan generasi muda.
Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa hubungan pusat-pinggiran mengalami pergeseran dan akhir film yang berupa alur siklik membuka interpretasi tentang pembalikan kritis dalam hubungan tersebut. Di tengah perbincangan tentang hubungan Barat dan Timur yang didominasi isu terorisme atas nama agama, film ini dapat dipertimbangkan memiliki alternatif visi untuk menilai kembali hubungan Barat dan Timur, pusat dan pinggiran.

Film is an art expression that is created collectively by a group of artists with various individual skills. As an art expression, film always "speaks" something. Film has messages that are "spoken" and conveyed through narrative presentation and its own form. As a whole, the Monsieur Ibrahim et Les Fleurs du Coran film wants to deliver a message about peace that is supposed to be able to be created among religions, generations, gender, and countries through some attempts to understand and position ourselves flexibly by committing a borderless journey.
In this text, the researcher questions the multicultural condition and the peace message presented. How these are spoken, who speaks about them, and how the strategies to create peace in a multicultural condition appear in the narration and film form. Analysis on the multicultural condition in the Monsieur Ibrahim et Les Fleurs du Comm film, using the theories of film structure, representation, and identity which is liquid, shows that this film talks about the multicultural condition and peace in relation between the periphery and center context in the cultural discourse. The center in this film is France-Europe, Jewish, masculine, and old generation. On the other hand, the periphery is Turkish-Mediterranean, Moslem, feminine, and young generation.
The analysis result shows that the center-periphery relation undergoes a shifting and the end of the movie, which is cyclical, opens an interpretation about critical reversal in that relation. Among many discourses about the relation between the West and East that is dominated by terrorism issue based on religion, this film can be considered as having the alternative vision to re-value the relation between the West and East, the center and periphery."

"This research works through Arabic phonological interference which had been occured on pronouncement of Quranic recitation. Respondents of this paper had randomly been selected from an Islamic student organization, named Charity Forum and Islamic Studies Student. Organization (FORMASI) in Faculty of Humanities, University of Indonesia. The reason why the organization had been chosen as the main respondent is because it has a weekly reading and discussing Quran program. The research is deliberately focused on Arabic phonems pronouncement interferences in several of Koran verses which do not exist in Bahasa Indonesia phonological system. The results describe that the interference had incidentally been occured by several respondents. Pronouncement interference is consisted of Arabic phonems which do not exist in Bahasa Indonesia phonological system."
