ABSTRAKIklim komunikasi internal yang baik dapat diciptakan salah satunya melalui penerapan kegiatan employee relations dalam perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan kegiatan employee relations dalam kurun waktu Januari 2010 hingga Maret 2012 dalam mendukung kualitas iklim komunikasi internal di dalam perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis, pendekatan kualitatif dan bersifat deskriptif dengan strategi studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan employee relations yang diterapkan di perusahaan X adalah program penghargaan, program pelatihan, acara khusus, rangsangan berbicara, konferensi karyawan, dan obrolan langsung. Kegiatan-kegiatan ini mampu mendukung iklim komunikasi internal yang bersifat suportif. Ditunjukkan pula dari pemenuhan karakteristik saling mendukung, adanya kepercayaan, keterbukaan dan kejujuran, partisipasi dalam pembuatan keputusan bersama, dan perhatian pada tujuan-tujuan berkinerja tinggi.
ABSTRACTAn excellent internal communication climate can be created from the existence of employee relations? activity. This study aims to recognize the application of employee relations? activities effective as from January 2010 to March 2012 in supporting an excellent internal communication climate at X Public Relations Consultant. This study uses constructivist paradigm and descriptive qualitative approach using case study strategy. Data collection methods used are in-depth interviews and documentation study. The results suggest that the application of activities such as awards, trainings, special events, opinion stimulations, staff conferences, and direct conversations support an excellent internal communication climate. It fulfils supportive nature depicted by characteristics such as mutual assistance, trust, openness and honesty, participation in decision making, and attention to high performance objectives."
