"The papers published in this proceedings volume are written by a selection of authors, resulting from a call for papers for the 1st International Conference on Law and Governance in a Global Context (ICLAVE) originating from Indonesia and other countries. This proceedings volume shall be a very valuable contribution to understand contemporary law issues in Indonesia which are not always taught in law schools. These proceedings will not only serve as a useful reference for law students and academicians, but also help law practitioners to understand law issues that may be encountered in Indonesia. It covers selected items such as Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Business Law, Intellectual Property Law, Criminal Law, Human Rights Law, Adat Law, Shariah Law, Judiciary Law and International Law, which are all important for undergraduate and post-graduate law students, as well as academicians and law practitioners in the law community."

Law of attraction is the main idea of book of The Secret that its based knowledge or science does not have a clear reference and systematics. The analyzes of this book with hermeneutics of Wilhelm Dilthey intended to analyze the mistakes of using the knowledge or science for become source to support the law of attraction theory. With the use of the concept of hermeneutic of Wilhelm Dilthey, it appears that The Secret is a literature that create its own idea so that it has a whole and part as the form for its nexus. Part in The Secret is a leading theory for support the whole for its main idea that is law of attraction. This hermeneutic also has two types of science and its method of use. They are nature science that uses eklären and human science that uses verstehen. With the concept of this hermeneutic, it can be discovered that the true science is the science that uses its own method."

ABSTRACT
The author will discuss the criticisms of John Searle and Hilary Putnam on computational functionalism, and try to maintain accountability of computational functionalism about the intentional features of mind before the 39 Chinese Room 39 and 39 Twin Earth 39 thought experiments. Searle and Putnam criticisms both target the accountability of computational functionalism about the intentional features of the mind in the case of propositional attitudes. The author will invite readers to arrive at mental content issues, along with two content noses inside narrow content and wide content. By content, this study is divided into two discussing the adequacy of computational systems in generating intentionality, as well as discussing the validity of the holistic internal explanation of the propositional attitudes. With attention to input and output, computational functionalism opens up to non individualistic readings of content in which the compatibility of natural language contents and computational contents are based on empirical investigations of the precise behavior of a computational system with its normal environment. In this case, causal semantics denotes denotational semantics."

"This volume provides a critical roadmap through the major historical sources of legal semiotics as we know them today. The history of legal semiotics, now at least a century old, has never been written (a non-event itself pregnant with semiotic possibility).  As a consequence, its sources are seldom clearly exposed and, as word, object and meaning change, are sometimes lost. They reach from an English translation of the 1916 inaugural lecture of the first Chair in Legal Significs at the Amsterdam University, via mid 20th century studies on “property” or “contract,” to equally fascinating essays on contemporary semiotic problems produced by former students of the Roberta Kevelson Semiotics Roundtable Seminar at Penn State University 2012 and 2013. Together, the materials in this book weave the fabric of semiotics and significs, two names for the unfolding of semiotics in law and legal discourse at least until the second half of the 20th century, and both of which covered a lawyer’s focus on sign and meaning in law.  The latter is embedded within the cultural imperatives of the civilization that gave these terms meaning and made them an effective tool for the dissection of law, its reconstitution as an instrument to be used by the lawyer to advance the interests of her clients, and for judges as a means to restructure language as a narrative of law whose power could bend behavior to its strictures. Legal semiotics has become an indispensible part of the elite lawyer’s toolkit and a fundamental approach to analysis of legal texts. Two previous volumes published in 2011 and 2012 explored the conceptual, methodological and epistemological progress in the field of legal semiotics, the modern forms of semiotics study, and the mechanics of meaning making processes by lawyers. Yet the great lessons of semiotics requires a focus on the origins of the concepts and frameworks that would become contemporary legal semiotics, its origins as an object of the consciousness of meaning making—one whose roots, as lessons for the oracular conversations of law, are expanded in this volume."
