Apoteker perlu memastikan dan menjaga mutu, keamanan, serta khasiat obat mulai dari proses produksi obat, distribusi obat, sampai obat diterima oleh pasien. Maka dari itu, apoteker harus memiliki kompetensi yang baik sesuai dengan Standar Kompetensi Apoteker. Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker merupakan salah satu persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi agar apoteker dapat mengetahui perannya dan meningkatkan kompetensinya. Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker dilaksanakan di PT Kalbe Farma Tbk pada periode 3 Januari-25 Februari 2022, Apotek Roxy Telajung pada periode 2-26 Maret 2022, dan PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari pada periode 1-14 April 2022. Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker ini diharapkan dapat membantu apoteker dalam mengembangkan kemampuannya dan memperoleh pengetahuan baru terkait profesinya di Industri Farmasi, Pedagang Besar Farmasi, dan Apotek.

Dalam mempersiapkan calon apoteker yang profesional untuk melakukan pekerjaan kefarmasian, maka dilakukan pelatihan secara langsung yaitu Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA). Tugas khusus praktik kerja di PT Anugerah Pharmindo lestari adalah Digitalisasi Proses Quality Assurance: Pengembangan Sistem eQMS Menggunakan Aplikasi Smartphone bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah yang dirasakan BRQA agar mempermudah pekerjaan, mempersingkat waktu dan meminimalisir terjadinya kesalahan. Tugas khusus praktik kerja di Apotek Kimia Farma adalah Evaluasi Kerasionalan Peresepan Obat Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus di Apotek Kimia Farma 382 Depok. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui apakah obat yang diberikan sudah rasional atau belum agar dilakukan pengkajian ulang agar tidak terjadi kesalahan berulang.

Internship at Rumah Sakit Universitas Indonesia is given an assignment entilled Evaluation of Drug Use with ABC Method in Outpatient Pharmacy at Rumah Sakit Universitas Indonesia Period January - September 2021. The purpose is to know which drugs are classified as fast moving, slow moving and dead stock. Drugs are classified as slow moving need to be eliminated so it doesn’t become dead stock. Special assignment at PT Anugerah Pharmindo lestari is Digitizing the Quality Assurance Process: eQMS System Development Using Smartphone Application aims to overcome the problems felt by BRQA in order to simplify the work, shorten the time and minimize the occurrence of errors. Special assignment at Apotek Kimia Farma is Evaluation of Rational Prescribing in Diabetes Mellitus Patients at Apotek Kimia Farma 382 Depok. The purpose is to find out whether the drug given is rational or not so that a re-examination is carried out so that there are no repeated errors."
