"Seorang apoteker yang profesional harus mampu menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan yang telah diperoleh selama masa studi dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan kefarmasian. Sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan calon apoteker mengenai peran, fungsi, dan tanggung jawab apoteker serta mendapatkan gambaran pekerjaan kefarmasian, calon apoteker perlu melaksanakan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker terlebih dahulu sebelum memasuki dunia kerja. Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker dilakukan di Apotek Roxy Jatikramat pada periode Januari 2022, PT. CKD OTTO Pharmaceuticals pada periode Maret – Mei 2022, dan Puskesmas Kecamatan Pasar Minggu pada periode Mei 2022. Setelah pelaksanaan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker di apotek, industri farmasi, dan puskesmas tersebut, calon apoteker diharapkan dapat memiliki wawasan, pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan pengalaman yang cukup sehingga siap untuk memasuki dunia kerja sebagai apoteker yang kompeten dan profesional.

A professional pharmacist must be able to apply the knowledge that has been obtained during the study period in carrying out pharmaceutical work. As an effort to improve the knowledge and skills of prospective pharmacists regarding the roles, functions, and responsibilities of pharmacists as well as to get an overview of pharmaceutical work, prospective pharmacists need to carry out the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice before entering the working world. The Pharmacist Professional Work Practice was carried out at the Roxy Jatikramat Pharmacy in the period January 2022, PT. CKD OTTO Pharmaceuticals in the period March – May 2022, and Pasar Minggu Public Medical Center in the period May 2022. After the implementation of the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice in pharmacy, pharmaceutical industry, and public medical center, prospective pharmacists are expected to have sufficient insight, knowledge, skills, and experience so that they are ready to enter the working world as competent and professional pharmacists."

Profesi apoteker berperan penting dalam berbagai aspek pekerjaan kefarmasian.  Peran tersebut dimulai dari menemukan obat, pembuatan, distribusi sampai keamaan untuk pasien agar mendapatkan pengobatan yang efektif. Salah satu hal penting yang harus dilakukan untuk menjadi seorang apoteker professional, calon apoteker dituntut untuk menjalani Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) sebagai bekal dan pengalaman untuk memahami peran apoteker dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan kefarmasian dan meningkatakn kompetensi sebelum memasuki duni kerja. The role starts with finding drugs, manufacturing them, and distributing them to safety for patients to get effective treatment. One of the important things to become a professional pharmacist, prospective pharmacists are required to undergo the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) as a provision and experience to understand the pharmacist's role in carrying oit pharmaceutical work and increase competence before entering the professional world. PKPA is held at Apotek Roxy Poltangan for the February 2022 period and PT Pfizer Indonesia for the April-May 2022 period. Calon apoteker diharapkan dapat belajar dan mendapatkan pengalaman, pengetahuan, serta keterampilan yang dapat mendukung calon apoteker tersebut kedepannya lewat PKPA di industri dan apotek.

A pharmacist is a profession that is obtained by a pharmacy graduate after graduating from the pharmacist professional education program and passing the Indonesian Pharmacist Competency Examination (UKAI). A pharmacist can then have a career in industry (drugs, traditional medicines, cosmetics), pharmaceutical wholesalers (PBF), pharmacies, hospitals, health centers, and clinics. As provosion for prospective pharmacists to enter the world of work in the future, the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) is carried out as part of the pharmacist profession study program curriculum. PKPA was implemented at PT Mahakam Beta Farma in the period January – February 2022 placed in the Quality Assurance division and Roxy Pitara Pharmacy for the period May 2022. Prospective pharmacists focus on the documentation section, especially the manufacture of Product Quality Review (PQR) at PT Mahakam Beta Farma. Then, prospective pharmacists learn how to manage pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices, and Medical Consumables (BMHP) and perform clinical pharmacy services at Roxy Pitara Pharmacy. Prospective pharmacists are expected to learn and gain experience, knowledge, and skills that can support future pharmacists on their next journey through PKPA in industry and pharmacy."

Calon apoteker sebelum memasuki dunia kerja sesungguhnya dituntut untuk menjalani Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA). Tujuan dari PKPA adalah untuk mempersiapkan calon apoteker yang mampu memahami tugas dan tanggung jawabnya sebagai apoteker, serta memiliki wawasan, pengetahuan, keterampilan, pengalaman, dan gambaran nyata tentang permasalahan praktek kefarmasian klinis ataupun industri. The purpose of PKPA is to prepare aspiring pharmacists who can understand their duties and responsibilities as pharmacists, and have insight, knowledge, skills, experience, and a real picture of the problems of clinical or industrial pharmacy. PKPA is carried out in the pharmaceutical industry, at PT Abbott Indonesia in the January - March 2022 period and clinical pharmacy, at Apotek Roxy Pondok Labu in the May 2022 period. Aspiring pharmacists who have done PKPA are expected to be able to carry out their roles and apply their insights, knowledge, skills and experience in the real world of work so that later can become professional and competent pharmacists in carrying out the pharmaceutical practice."

Salah satu bentuk partisipasi tersebut adalah dilakukan dengan diadakannya Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) yang dijalani oleh calon apoteker sebagai bekal dan pengalaman untuk memahami peran apoteker dan meningkatkan kompetensi sebelum memasuki dunia profesional. Due to the complexity of the field, a pharmacist is required to participate directly in the practice of pharmacy. One form of participation is carried out by holding the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) which is carried out by prospective pharmacists as a provision and experience to understand the role of pharmacists and to improve competence before entering the professional world. Kebayoran Baru Public Health Center, Roxy Pondok Labu Pharmacy, and PT CKD OTTO Pharmaceuticals are one of the agencies that collaborate with the Pharmacist Professional Study Program, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Indonesia so that prospective pharmacists can run PKPA in the period January – May 2022. Through the activities in public health center, pharmacy, pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industry, prospective pharmacists are expected to be able to gain appropriate insight, knowledge, skills, and experience to perform pharmacy practice."

Peran Apoteker di apotek sangatlah beragam, salah satunya adalah Apoteker bertanggung jawab dalam menilai kesesuaian penulisan resep, keseuaian algoritma terapi, dan pemberian konseling serta edukasi ke pasien yang sesuai dengan standar pelayanan kefarmasian di apotek. Tujuan terapi dari pasien dengan hiperlipidemia adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien dengan menurunkan kadar kolesterol dalam tubuh. Adapun terapi penunjang yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan rajin berolahraga, menghindari merokok, menghindari minuman beralkohol dan berkafein, makanan berlemak dan tinggi gula, serta banyak mengonsumsi makanan yang kaya akan serat seperti sayur dan buah – buahan. Maka dari itu, sebagai seorang Apoteker maka kita harus mendalami kemampuan mengenai pengkajian resep dan konseling yang perlu diberikan kepada pasien dengan penyakit hiperlipidemia dan penyakit yang berhubungan dengannya mulai dari definisi, patofisiologi, dan penatalaksanaannya.

Pharmacies function to organize health service efforts, including the provision of safe, efficacious and quality pharmaceutical preparations. The role of pharmacists in pharmacies is very diverse, one of which is that pharmacists are responsible for assessing the suitability of prescription writing, the suitability of therapeutic algorithms, and providing counselling and education to patients in accordance with pharmaceutical service standards in pharmacies. The presence of pharmacists in pharmacies will assist patients in detecting, preventing, overcoming drug- related problems, as well as providing counselling and education to patients regarding pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies for diseases that require long-term therapy such as hyperlipidaemia and related diseases such as cardiovascular disease. Hyperlipidaemia itself is associated with various diseases including atherosclerosis, angina, myocardial infarction, ischemic stroke, hypertension, diabetes, and gout. The goal of therapy for patients with hyperlipidaemia is to improve the patient's quality of life by lowering cholesterol levels in the body. Supporting therapy that can be done is diligently exercising, avoiding smoking, avoiding alcoholic and caffeinated drinks, fatty and high-sugar foods, and consuming lots of fiber-rich foods such as vegetables and fruits. Therefore, as a pharmacist, we must explore the skills regarding the assessment of prescriptions and counselling that needs to be given to patients with hyperlipidaemia and diseases related to it starting from the definition, pathophysiology, and management."
