"This innovative study of memorial architecture investigates how design can translate memories of human loss into tangible structures, creating spaces for remembering. Using approaches from history, psychology, anthropology and sociology, Sabina Tanović explores purposes behind creating contemporary memorials in a given location, their translation into architectural concepts, their materialisation in the face of social and political challenges, and their influence on the transmission of memory. Covering the period from the First World War to the present, she looks at memorials such as the Holocaust museums in Mechelen and Drancy, as well as memorials for the victims of terrorist attacks, to unravel the private and public role of memorial architecture and the possibilities of architecture as a form of agency in remembering and dealing with a difficult past. The result is a distinctive contribution to the literature on history and memory, and on architecture as a link to the past."

"Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (KESDM) adalah instansi pemerintah yang mempunyai tugas menyelenggarakan urusan di bidang energi dan sumber daya mineral untuk membantu Presiden dalam menyelenggarakan pemerintahan negara. Salah satu pendukung dalam penyelenggaraan tugas KESDM adalah keberadaaan aset sistem informasi/teknologi informasi (SI/TI). Namun selama ini di KESDM belum ada panduan dalam merencanakan maupun mengimplementasikan suatu solusi TI, sehingga masing-masing unit memikirkan sendiri solusi TI yang diperlukan. Hal ini berakibat pada keberagaman aplikasi, kerangka kerja, bahasa pemrograman, desain, dan tersebarnya ruang server dan basis data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan kondisi arsitektur KESDM saat ini dan merekomendasikan rancangan arsitektur yang tepat untuk KESDM. Kerangka kerja yang digunakan adalah The Open Group of Architecture Framework (TOGAF). Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumen KESDM dan wawancara serta Focus Group Discussion (FGD) ke unit-unit di lingkungan KESDM. Hasil dari penelitian ini di antaranya prinsip arsitektur KESDM yang meliputi prinsip bisnis, prinsip aplikasi, prinsip data, dan prinsip teknologi, serta pola solusi dan roadmap berdasarkan prinsip arsitektur dimaksud.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) is a government institution that has the task of conducting affairs in the field of energy and mineral resources to assist the President in running the state government. One of the supporters of the task is the existence of information systems/information technology (IS/IT) assets. However, KESDM has no guidance to plan and implement an IT solution, so that each unit thinks IT solutions that are required by themselves. It causes variety in application, framework, programming languange, design, and dissemination of server room and database.

This study aims to map the architecture of MEMR now and recommend the architecture design that fit to MEMR. The framework used is The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF). Data were collected through documents of KESDM and also interviews and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to units in the MEMR.

The results of the study are the architecture principles of KESDM that include business principles, application principles, data principles, and technology principles, as well as patterns of solutions and roadmaps based on architecture principles said."
