"Keratosis Seboroik (KS) merupakan salah satu tumor jinak epidermis dengan faktor risiko utama pajanan matahari yang berlebihan. Selain pajanan matahari, defisiensi vitamin D diduga berperan pada patogenesis KS. Defisiensi vitamin D dapat disebabkan pajanan matahari yang kurang maupun kurangnya asupan vitamin D. Daerah pesisir memiliki karakteristik pajanan matahari yang tinggi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian yang menilai hubungan kadar vitamin D (kalsidiol serum) pasien KS di daerah pesisir dengan pajanan matahari (sun index) dan asupan vitamin D. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif-analitik dengan desain potong lintang. Dilakukan wawancara dengan menggunakan kuesioner sun index, food frequency questionnaire semikuantitatif vitamin D, pemeriksaan fisis dan dermoskopi untuk menilai ukuran terbesar lesi KS, serta pengukuran kadar kalsidiol serum pada 39 individu usia 19-59 tahun di Kecamatan Cilincing, Jakarta Utara. Median ukuran lesi KS adalah 2 mm; median nilai sun index adalah 3,95; median kadar kalsidiol serum sebesar 14,3 ng/ml, dan median asupan vitamin D adalah 4,3 mcg/hari. Tidak ditemukan korelasi yang bermakna antara sun index dan kadar kalsidiol dengan ukuran lesi KS, serta sun index dan asupan vitamin D dengan kadar kalsidiol pada masyarakat pesisir tersebut.

Seborrheic keratosis (SK) is a benign epidermal tumor with high sun exposure as a major risk factor. In addition, vitamin D deficiency is thought to play a role in the pathogenesis of SK. Vitamin D deficiency can be caused by insufficient sun exposure or a lack of vitamin D intake. Coastal areas are characterized by high sun exposure. Therefore, research assessing the relationship of vitamin D levels of SK patients living in a coastal area with sun exposure and vitamin D intake needs to be done. This is an analytic-descriptive cross-sectional study. We performed interview using sun index questionnaire; semi quantitative food frequency questionnaire for vitamin D; physical examination and dermoscopy to determine the largest diameter of SK lesions; and measurement of serum calcidiol levels in 39 individuals with 19-59 years age living in Cilincing District, North Jakarta. The Spearman correlation test was used to assess the relationship between variables. Median of the largest SK lesions size, sun index, serum calcidiol, and vitamin D intake were 2 mm, 3.95, 14.3 ng/ml, and 4.3 mcg/day, respectively. There were no significant correlations between sun index and calcidiol level with SK lesion size, as well as sun index and vitamin D intake with calcidiol level in this coastal population."

"Hipovitaminosis D selama masa kehamilan dapat menimbulkan komplikasi selama kehamilan dan pada janin. Selain itu data mengenai status vitamin D pada ibu hamil terutama trimester 1 di Indonesia masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kadar kalsidiol serum pada ibu hamil trimester 1 dan korelasinya dengan asupan vitamin D dan skor paparan sinar matahari.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi potong lintang pada ibu hamil sehat usia 20-35 tahun dengan usia kehamilan <12 minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata usia subyek 27,36+3,91 tahun dengan median usia kehamilan 9 minggu. Sebagian besar subyek berpendidikan tinggi (68,1%), status bekerja (70,2%) dengan pendapatan >UMP (59,6%) dan rerata IMT 23,74+3,83 kg/m2. Asupan lemak, protein, dan kalsium subyek
Median skor paparan sinar matahari adalah 14 (0-42) dengan median lama paparan 17,41 (0-85,71) menit. Terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara kadar kalsidiol serum dengan kelompok lama paparan sinar matahari 5-30 menit dan >30 menit (p=0,033). Rerata kadar kalsidiol serum 39,26+10,25 nmol/mL (insufisiensi) dengan 100% subyek memiliki kadar kalsidiol serum < 80 nmol/L yang menggambarkan keadaan hipovitaminosis D.
Tidak terdapat korelasi antara kadar kalsidiol serum dengan skor paparan sinar matahari (r=0,087; p=0,562), dan asupan vitamin D (r=-0,049; p=0,745). Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari penelitian adalah seluruh ibu hamil trimester 1 di Jakarta mengalami hipovitaminosis D sehingga perlu segera diatasi melalui konseling dan edukasi gizi.

Vitamin D deficiency could be related to several complications to pregnancy`s outcomes, both for mother and fetus. Besides, there is limited data regarding to vitamin D status among pregnant women in Indonesia especially during the first trimester. Therefore this study was performed to determine serum calcidiol on the first trimester of pregnancy and its correlation to vitamin D intake and sun exposure score.
The methode in this study was cross-sectional study among healthy pregnant women aged 20-35 years old on their first trimester of pregnancy. Average age of the subjects was 27.36±3.91 years old with median gestational age of 9 weeks. Most of the subjects was well educated (68.1%), working (70.2%) with monthly income equal and more than the province minimum salary (59.6%), and with BMI average of 23.74±3.83 kg/m2. Mostly the subjects had fat, protein, and calcium intake below its RDA with the average intake of 44.49±22.22 g/day; 45.07±19.35 g/day; 661.93±405.91 mg/day, respectively. Vitamin D intake was mostly below its RDA with a median of 2.9 mcg/day and ranged from 0.3 to 15.6 mcg/day.
The median score of sun exposure score was 14 that ranged from zerro to 42, with a median for its duration of 17.41 minutes that ranged from zerro to 85.71 minutes. In this study, there was significant differences between serum calcidiol and sun exposure duration in 5-30 minutes and more than 30 minutes groups (p=0,033). As the main finding, it reveals that the average of serum calcidiol was 39.26±10.25 nmoL/mL or classified as insufficient where all of the subjects (100%) had serum calcidiol less than 80 nmol/L (hypovitaminosis D).
However, there were no significant correlations between serum calcidiol with sun exposure score and vitamin D intake (r=0.087 and p=0.562; r=-0,049 and p=0.745, respectively). In conclusion, all of the pregnant women in Jakarta, especially in their first trimester had low vitamin D status. Therefore, intervention is needed, i.e. through prenatal counselling and nutrition education regarding to natural sources of vitamin D.

"Latar belakang: Keratosis seboroik (KS) merupakan salah satu tumor jinak epidermis yang paling sering ditemukan. Pada penelitian baru mengenai KS, vitamin D berperan melalui banyak mekanisme nongenomik, termasuk ekspresi protein dan mutasi gen FGFR3. Defisiensi vitamin D mengakibatkan gangguan proliferasi dan diferensiasi, sehingga mempengaruhi jumlah dan ukuran lesi KS. Di sisi lain pajanan matahari juga merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi baik kadar serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) maupun terhadap munculnya lesi KS. Pengukuran pajanan sinar matahari dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara, salah satunya dengan menggunakan sun index. Sampai saat ini belum ada penelitian mengenai hubungan antara kadar serum 25(OH)D dan sun index dengan jumlah dan ukuran lesi KS.
Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan kadar serum 25-Hydroxyvitamin D dan sun index (indeks pajanan matahari) dengan jumlah dan ukuran lesi keratosis seboroik pada wajah di Poliklinik Kulit dan Kelamin, RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo
Metode: Penelitian potong lintang ini melibatkan 50 pasien KS yang direkrut secara consecutive sampling pada bulan Desember 2018 hingga Mei 2019. Pasien yang memenuhi kriteria akan dilakukan anamnesis dan pengisian kuesioner sun index, pemeriksaan fisis, penilaian jumlah dan ukuran terbesar lesi KS di wajah dengan FotoFinder® dan dermoskopi, serta pemeriksaan laboratorium kadar serum 25(OH)D. Dilakukan analisis data untuk mengetahui korelasi kadar serum 25(OH)D dan sun index dengan jumlah dan ukuran terbesar lesi KS pada wajah dengan uji Pearson jika sebaran data normal atau uji Spearman jika sebaran data tidak normal.
Hasil: Median kadar serum 25(OH)D SP sebesar 10,3 (3,9-24,2) ng/mL. Median nilai sun index adalah 1,3 (0,3-16,2). 94% SP mengalami defisiensi kadar serum 25(OH)D dan 6% mengalami insufisiensi kadar serum 25(OH)D. Terdapat korelasi bermakna dengan kekuatan sedang antara kadar serum 25(OH)D dengan sun index (p=0,009, r=0,367). Median jumlah lesi KS pada wajah sebesar 28 (8-87) lesi dan meningkat sesuai dengan peningkatan kelompok usia. Median ukuran terbesar lesi KS sebesar 3,5(1-9,5) mm dan meningkat sesuai dengan peningkatan kelompok usia. Tidak terdapat korelasi antara kadar serum 25(OH)D dengan jumlah dan ukuran terbesar lesi KS pada wajah (p=0,178, r=0,194 dan p=0,164, r=0,2). Terdapat korelasi bermakna antara sun index dengan jumlah dan ukuran terbesar lesi KS pada wajah (p<0,001, r=0,517 dan p<0,001, r=0,451)
Kesimpulan: Kadar serum 25(OH)D ditemukan di bawah nilai normal (defisiensi dan insufisiensi) pada seluruh SP. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa semakin tinggi kadar serum 25(OH)D, tidak menyebabkan semakin sedikit jumlah dan semakin kecil ukuran lesi KS di wajah. Namun semakin tinggi nilai sun index, maka akan menyebabkan semakin banyak jumlah dan semakin besar ukuran lesi KS di wajah

Background: Seborrheic keratoses (SK) is one of the most common benign epidermal tumors. Recent study on SK, vitamin D is involved through many nongenomic interactions, including changes in protein and mutations in the FGFR3 gene. Decreased on vitamin D causes disorder of proliferation and differentiation, thus affecting the number and size of SK lesions. On the other hand, sun exposure is also a factor that affects the levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) as well as the SK lesions. Measurement of sunlight exposure can be done in various ways, one of them is by using the sun index. Until now there has been no research on the relationship between 25(OH)D serum and sun index with the number and size of SK lesions.
Objective: To assess the relationship of 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels and sun index (sun exposure index) with number and size of seborrheic keratoses lesions on the face in Dermatovenereology Clinic , Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital.
Methods: This cross-sectional study involved 50 SK patients that recruited by consecutive sampling in December 2018 to May 2019. Patients who met the criteria will be analyzed and filled in with the sun index questionnaire, physical examination, assessment of the number and size of SK lesions on the face with FotoFinder® and dermoscopy, and laboratory tests for 25(OH)D serum levels. Data analysis was performed to determine the correlation of serum 25 (OH) D and sun index levels with the number and size of SK lesions on the face with Pearson test if the data distribution is normal or Spearman test if the data distribution is not normal.
Result: The median 25(OH)D serum level is 10.3 (3.9-24.2) ng/mL. The median sun index value is 1.3 (0.3-16.2). 94% of SP had deficiencies and 6% experienced insufficiency of serum 25(OH)D levels. There was a significant correlation with moderate strength between 25(OH)D serum levels and sun index (p = 0.009, r = 0.367). The median number of SK lesions on the face was 28 (8-87) lesions and increased according to the increase in age groups. The median largest size of SK lesions was 3.5 (1-9.5) mm and increased according to the increase in age groups. There is no correlation between 25(OH)D serum levels and the largest number and size of SK lesions on the face (p = 0.178, r = 0.194 and p = 0.164, r = 0.2). There is a significant correlation between the sun index and the largest number and size of SK lesions on the face (p <0.001, r = 0.517 and p <0.001, r = 0.451)
Conclusion: 25(OH)D serum levels were found below normal (deficiency and insufficiency) in all subject. The results showed that the higher 25(OH)D serum levels did not cause the smaller the number and the smaller the size of KS lesions on the face. But higher sun index value correlate on the number and size of SK lesions on the face.

"Salah satu peran sistem imunitas terhadap infeksi M.leprae adalah respons makrofag melalui interaksinya dengan vitamin D dan reseptor vitamin D (RVD). Interaksi vitamin D dengan RVD pada berbagai sel imun akan menstimulasi ekspresi katelisidin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kadar serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) dan kadar plasma RVD serta hubungannya dengan IB pada pasien kusta. Penelitian ini berupa observasional-analitik dengan desain potong lintang. Sebanyak 28 subjek penelitian (SP) menjalani pemeriksaan slit-skin smear kemudian diagnosis kusta ditegakkan berdasarkan tanda kardinal kusta. Penelitian ini juga menilai kecukupan pajanan matahari menggunakan kuesioner pajanan matahari mingguan. Kadar serum 25(OH)D diperiksa dengan metode chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA) dan kadar plasma RVD dilakukan dengan metode enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Median kadar serum 25(OH)D adalah 12,68 ng/ml (4,88 – 44,74). Median kadar plasma RVD adalah 1,36 ng/ml (0,26 – 8,04). Berdasarkan analisis regresi multivariat, tidak terdapat hubungan antara IB dengan kadar serum 25(OH)D dan kadar plasma RVD (R square = 0,055). Tedapat korelasi positif kuat antara kadar serum 25(OH)D dengan skor pajanan sinar matahari (r = 0,863; p < 0,001).

One of many immunity system’s roles against M. leprae infection is macrophage response through its interaction with vitamin D and vitamin D receptor (VDR). The interaction between vitamin D and VDR in various immune cells will stimulate the expression of cathelicidin. The objective is to analyze the serum level of 25-hydroxyvitamin D₃ (25(OH)D) and plasma level of VDR as well as their association with IB in leprosy patients. This observational analytic study was performed with cross-sectional design. A total of 28 subjects underwent a slit-skin smear examination and then the diagnosis of leprosy was made based on the cardinal signs. This study also assessed the patient’s sun exposure with weekly sun exposure questionnaire. Serum 25(OH)D level was assessed with chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA) method and RVD plasma level was measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Median serum level of 25(OH)D was 12.68 ng/ml (4.88 – 44.74). Median plasma level of VDR was 1.36 ng/ml (0.26 – 8.04). Based on multivariate regression analysis, there was no significant association between BI and serum level of 25(OH)D and plasma level of VDR (R square = 0.055). There was strong positive correlation between serum level of 25(OH)D and sun exposure score (r = 0.863; p < 0.001)."

"Latar Belakang: Stroke merupakan penyebab kematian kedua dan penyebab disabilitas ketiga di dunia. Stroke menimbulkan ketidakmampuan dan kelemahan yang berakibat pada penurunan kemampuan fungsional. Kemandirian aktivitas hidup sehari-hari pasien stroke sangat penting karena dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Dari tahun 1990 hingga 2019, telah terjadi peningkatan kejadian stroke sebesar 70%. Selanjutnya stroke sendiri akan menyebabkan peningkatkan angka kematian sebesar 43% dan disability adjusted lifeyears (DALY) sebesar 143%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mehilat hubungan antara kadar vitamin D serum terhadap massa otot bebas lemak pada kedua ektremitas pada pasien stroke dan luaran klinis dengan pada pasien stroke.
Metode: Penelitian menggunakan desain potong lintang pada subjek berusia diatas 18 tahun yang menjalani perawatan di RSUPN Dr. Cipto mangunkusumo dan RS Universitas Indonesia Depok. karakteristik demografi meliputi usia, jenis kelamin, status gizi, jenis kulit, jenis pakaian , asupan vitamin D, pemakaian tabir surya, Indeks Barthel, asupan energi total, asupan protein, asupan lemak, asupan karbohidrat, skor pajanan sinar matahari dan kadar vitamin D serum. Dilakukan analisis hubungan kadar vitamin D serum dengan ASMI dan Indeks Barthel Hasil: Sebagian besar subjek rerata berusia 59 tahun, dengan jenis kelamin perempuan terbanyak. Status gizi 33,3% mengalami obesitas derajat 1 dan 13,3% obesitas derajat 2. Karakteristik subjek memiliki jenis kulit tipe 4 (moderate brown), dan hampir seluruh subjek sebanyak 83,3% tidak memakai tabir surya. Untuk kecupukan asupan, bebagian besar subjek 81,7% memiliki asupan energi total yang cukup, 50% subjek mengalami asupan protein yang kurang, 5% subjek memiliki asupan lemak yang kurang, dan hanya 1,7% subjek yang mengalami asupan karbohidrat yang kurang, disamping itu didapatkan 65% yang mengalami kurangnya asupan bahan makanan sumber vitamin D. Skor pajanan sinar matahari pada hampir seluruh subjek sebesar 81,7% termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Hasil penelitian ini juga didapatkan gambaran 30% sebagian subjek tergolong defisiensi vitamin D, dan 58,3% subjek yang mengalami insufisiensi vitamin D. Sebagian besar subjek pada hasil pemeriksaan ASMI menunjukkan gambaran 83,3% mengalami ASMI yang rendah, dengan proporsi pada subjek laki-laki sebanyak 86,2% dan perempuan sebanyak 80,6%. Untuk Indeks Barthel didapatkan 48,3% subjek mengalami ketergantungan sedang dalam menjalani akitivitas sehari-hari. Kesimpulan: Terdapat korelasi yang bermakna antara kadar vitamin D serum dengan ASMI dan Indeks Barthel.

Background: Stroke is the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability in the world. Stroke causes disability and weakness which results in decreased functional ability. Independence of daily living activities of stroke patients is very important because it can improve the quality of life. From 1990 to 2019, there has been a 70% increase in the incidence of stroke. Furthermore, stroke itself will cause an increase in mortality by 43% and disability adjusted lifeyears (DALY) by 143%. This study aims to investigate the relationship between serum vitamin D levels and fat-free muscle mass in both extremities in stroke patients and clinical outcomes with stroke patients.
Methods: The study used a cross-sectional design on subjects aged over 18 years who underwent treatment at Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital and University of Indonesia Hospital Depok. Demographic characteristics include age, gender, nutritional status, skin type, clothing type, vitamin D intake, sunscreen use, Barthel Index, total energy intake, protein intake, fat intake, carbohydrate intake, sun exposure score and serum vitamin D levels. The association of serum vitamin D level with ASMI and Barthel Index was analyzed.
Results: Most of the subjects had an average age of 59 years, with the most female gender. The subjects had a skin type of type 4 (moderate brown), and almost all subjects as much as 83.3% did not wear sunscreen. For intake adequacy, most subjects 81.7% had sufficient total energy intake, 50% of subjects experienced insufficient protein intake, 5% of subjects had insufficient fat intake, and only 1.7% of subjects experienced insufficient carbohydrate intake, besides that 65% experienced insufficient intake of food sources of vitamin D. The sun exposure score in almost all subjects of 81.7% was in the low category. The results of this study also obtained a picture of 30% of subjects classified as vitamin D deficiency, and 58.3% of subjects who experienced vitamin D insufficiency. Most subjects in the ASMI examination results showed a picture of 83.3% experiencing low ASMI, with a proportion in male subjects as much as 86.2% and women as much as 80.6%. For the Barthel Index, 48.3% of subjects experienced moderate dependence in carrying out daily activities.
Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between serum vitamin D levels with ASMI and Barthel Index.

"Diabetes melitus dapat menyebabkan berbagai komplikasi yang menyebabkan hendaya, salah satunya adalah ulkus kaki diabetikum (UKD). Kadar vitamin D diketahui berhubungan dengan penyembuhan luka dan resistensi insulin. Penelitian potong lintang ini bertujuan untuk menentukan hubungan antara kadar vitamin D serum dan derajat keparahan UKD. Tiga puluh pasien UKD dengan nilai ankle brachial index normal dikelompokkan sesuai derajat keparahannya sesuai klasifikasi Wagner diikutkan dalam studi ini. Kadar vitamin D serum diperiksa menggunakan metode immunoassay. Hubungan antara kedua variabel dianalisis. Pasien terdiri dari 18 orang laki-laki (60%) dan 12 orang perempuan (40%) dengan rerata usia 57 tahun. Rerata kadar vitamin D serum adalah 10,58 ng/mL. Korelasi kuat ditemukan antara kadar vitamin D serum dan derajat keparahan UKD (p<0,001, r=0,901). Pemeriksaan penyaring kadar vitamin D serum pada pasien UKD menunjukkan hasil yang rendah dan berkorelasi kuat dengan derajat keparahan UKD

Diabetes mellitus can cause various disabilitating complications including diabetic foot ulcer (DFU). Vitamin D levels are known to be correlated with wound healing and insulin resistance. This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the correlation between serum level of vitamin D and the severity degree of DFU. Thirty DFU patients with normal ankle brachial index, grouped into degrees according to the Wagner classification, were included in this study. Their serum level of vitamin D were examined using the chemiluminescent immunoassay method. Correlation between these two variables was analyzed. Patients were 18 males (60%) and 12 females (40%) with an average age of 57 years. The average serum level of vitamin D was 10.58 ng/mL. Strong correlation was found between serum level of vitamin D and the severity of DFU (p<0.001, r=0.901). Serum level of vitamin D screening in DFU patients were low and were strongly correlated with the degree of DFU."

"Latar Belakang: Diabetes melitus (DM) tipe 2 merupakan penyakit metabolik kronik progresif dengan sebagian besar populasi berada pada usia produktif. Di Indonesia, capaian kendali glikemik yang optimal hanya didapatkan pada 20-30% pasien. Hal ini meningkatkan risiko komplikasi muskuloskeletal seperti sarkopenia yang sudah mulai terjadi sejak usia 20 tahun. Vitamin D merupakan salah satu suplementasi nutrisi yang direkomendasikan dalam tata laksana sarkopenia.
Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara vitamin D dengan sarkopenia pada populasi DM tipe 2 usia dewasa nongeriatri.
Metode: Penelitian potong lintang ini melibatkan populasi DM tipe 2 berusia 18-59 tahun yang berobat di Rumah Sakit Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM), Jakarta, Indonesia pada bulan Januari 2021 sampai dengan April 2022. Dilakukan pengukuran massa otot dengan bioimpedance analysis (BIA), kekuatan genggam tangan, kecepatan berjalan, antropometri, serta kadar HbA1c dan vitamin D serum. Titik potong vitamin D ditentukan berdasarkan kurva receiver-operating characteristic (ROC).
Hasil: Dari 99 subjek, 38,4% mengalami sarkopenia, yang terdiri dari 94,7% possible sarcopenia dan 5,3% true sarcopenia. Kadar vitamin D di bawah 32 ng/mL didapatkan pada 78,9% kelompok sarkopenia. Berdasarkan analisis multivariat, prevalensi sarkopenia pada populasi DM tipe 2 dengan defisiensi vitamin D didapatkan 1,94 kali lebih tinggi (p=0,043) dibandingkan dengan populasi DM tipe 2 tanpa defisiensi vitamin D, setelah dilakukan penyesuaian dengan usia, jenis kelamin, HbA1c, dan obesitas.
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan bermakna antara kadar vitamin D dengan sarkopenia pada populasi DM tipe 2 usia dewasa nongeriatri, setelah penyesuaian dengan faktor usia, jenis kelamin, HbA1c, dan obesitas.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic progressive metabolic disease with most of the population being at productive age. In Indonesia, optimal glycemic control is only achieved in 20-30% of patients which increases the risk of musculoskeletal complications such as sarcopenia. Sarcopenia has been known to develop since the age of 20. Vitamin D is one of the recommended nutritional supplementations in the management of sarcopenia.
Aim: We aimed to determine the association between serum vitamin D and sarcopenia in nongeriatric adults with T2DM.
Methods: This cross-sectional study involved 18-59 years old T2DM outpatients in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta, Indonesia between January 2021 and April 2022. We performed muscle mass measurement using bioimpedance analysis (BIA), handgrip strength, gait speed, anthropometrics, as well as serum vitamin D and HbA1c levels. The cut-off Vitamin D level was determined using receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) curve.
Results: A total of 99 subjects were analyzed of which 38.4% had sarcopenia. The proportion of possible sarcopenia was 94.7% and true sarcopenia 5.3%. Vitamin D level below 32 ng/mL was found in 78.9% of the sarcopenia group. Based on multivariate analysis, the prevalence of sarcopenia in the T2DM population with vitamin D deficiency was found to be 1.94 times higher (p=0.043) compared to the T2DM population without vitamin D deficiency, after adjusting for age, sex, HbA1c, and obesity.
Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between vitamin D levels and sarcopenia in nongeriatric adults with T2DM, after adjusting for age, sex, HbA1c, and obesity.

"Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui korelasi antara asupan vitamin D dengan kadar 25(OH)D serum pada pasien lupus eritematosus sistemik perempuan usia dewasa.
Metode: Peneltian ini merupakan penelitian potong lintang pada 36 pasien SLE perempuan dewasa dari Poliklinik Reumatologi di RS Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo. Pengambilan data subyek meliputi usia, klasifikasi penyakit SLE, obat-obatan yang digunakan, tipe kulit, penggunaan tabir surya, bagian tubuh yang tertutup pakaian, lama terpajan sinar matahari, indeks massa tubuh (IMT), asupan vitamin D, dan kadar 25(OH)D serum.
Hasil: Sebagian besar (41,7%) subyek berusia antara 36–45 tahun, tergolong klasifikasi SLE ringan (52,8%), selalu menggunakan tabir surya (63,9%), tipe kulit IV (69,4%), dan memakai pakaian yang menutupi seluruh/sebagian besar tubuh (69,4%), serta tidak terpajan dan terpajan sinar matahari <30 menit (77,8%). Semua subyek menggunakan kortikosteroid. Separuh subyek memiliki berat badan normal berdasarkan IMT, sebagian besar (55,6%) subyek mempunyai asupan vitamin D cukup berdasarkan AKG 2012, dan 28 subyek (77,8%) menderita defisiensi vitamin D ( kadar 25(OH)D serum <50 nmol/L). Didapatkan korelasi positif yang sedang antara asupan vitamin D dengan kadar 25(OH)D serum pada subyek penelitian (r = 0,52; P <0,01).
Kesimpulan: Terdapat korelasi positif yang sedang antara asupan vitamin D dengan kadar 25(OH)D serum pada pasien SLE perempuan dewasa (r = 0,52; P <0,01).

Objective: the aim of the study is to investigate the correlation between vitamin D intake and serum 25(OH)D concentration of adult woman SLE patients.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in 36 adult woman patients with SLE from Rheumatology Clinic of the Departemen of Internal Medicine Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo hospital. Data collection included age, SLE classification, drugs, skin type, use of sunscreen, part of the body covered by clothes, length of sun exposure, body mass index (BMI), vitamin D intake, and serum 25(OH)D concentration.
Results: Most of the subjects (41.7%) aged 36–45 years old, classified as mild SLE (52.8%), always used sunscreen (63.9%), skin type IV (69.4%), wearing clothes that covered all or almost of the body (69.4%), and not exposed or had sun exposure less than 30 minute (77.8%). All subjects used corticosteroid. Based on BMI half of the subjects had normal body weight, Based on AKG 2012 most (55.6%) had adequate vitamin D intakes, and 28 subjects (77.8%) were in vitamin D-deficient (serum 25(OH)D concentration <50 nmol/L). There were moderate positive correlation between vitamin D intake and serum 25(OH)D concentration in subjects (r = 0.52; P <0.01).
Conclusion: There were moderate positive correlation between vitamin D intake and serum 25(OH)D concentration of adult woman SLE patients (r = 0.52, P <0.01).

"Latar belakang: Alopesia androgenetik (AAG) merupakan jenis kebotakan rambut paling umum pada laki-laki yang menyebabkan gangguan estetik sehingga memengaruhi kualitas hidup dan dapat berkaitan dengan kondisi sistemik. Tata laksana yang ada seringkali belum memuaskan. Vitamin D sebagai salah satu mikronutrien yang telah dikenal memiliki banyak manfaat juga diduga berperan dalam kejadian kelainan rambut termasuk AAG.
Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kadar 25(OH)D serum dan status kecukupan vitamin D dengan derajat keparahan AAG pada laki-laki.
Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan suatu studi observasional analitik dengan desain potong lintang. Subjek penelitian dipilih menggunakan metode consecutive sampling berdasarkan kriteria penelitian. Diagnosis AAG ditegakkan secara klinis berdasarkan klasifikasi Hamilton-Norwood lalu dibagi menjadi derajat ringan dan sedang-berat. Dilakukan pula fotografi 7 posisi kepala serta pemeriksaan trikoskopi dan Trichoscan®. Pemeriksaan kadar 25(OH)D serum diambil dari darah vena sebanyak 3 mL dan menggunakan metode chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA). Klasifikasi status kecukupan vitamin D ditetapkan menjadi defisiensi dan nondefisiensi berdasarkan Endocrine Society Guideline. Nilai p<0,05 dianggap bermakna secara statistik.
Hasil: Di antara 74 SP dengan rerata usia 37,4(8,89) tahun yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian, sebanyak 29 orang (39,2%) mengalami AAG ringan dan 45 orang (60,8%) mengalami AAG sedang hingga berat. Rerata kadar 25(OH)D serum untuk seluruh SP adalah 18,9(5,89) ng/mL yang termasuk ke dalam kategori defisiensi vitamin D. Rerata kadar 25(OH)D serum pada SP dengan AAG ringan adalah 21,8(6,39) ng/mL dan pada AAG sedang hingga berat sebesar 17,1(4,79) ng/mL. Terdapat hubungan bermakna secara statistik antara kadar 25(OH)D serum dan status kecukupan vitamin D dengan derajat keparahan AAG (p=0,01; p<0,001). Sebagai data tambahan, ditemukan pula hubungan bermakna secara statistik antara diameter rambut (p=0,036) dengan derajat keparahan AAG.
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan bermakna antara status kecukupan vitamin D dengan kadar 25(OH)D serum dengan derajat keparahan AAG pada laki-laki.

Background: Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is the most common type of hair loss in men which causes aesthetic disturbances that affect quality of life and can be associated with systemic conditions. Existing management is often not satisfactory. Vitamin D, as a micronutrient that is known to have many benefits, is also thought to play a role in the incidence of hair disorders including AGA.
Objective: This study aims to analyze the association between serum 25(OH)D levels and vitamin D sufficiency status with the severity of AGA in men.
Method: This research is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design. The study subjects were selected using consecutive sampling. The diagnosis of AGA was established clinically according to the Hamilton-Norwood classification and then categorized into mild and moderate-severe degrees. Photographs of the head in seven positions were taken, and trichoscopy and Trichoscan® examinations were performed. Serum 25(OH)D levels were measured from 3 mL of venous blood using the chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA) method. Vitamin D status was classified as deficient or non-deficient according to the Endocrine Society Guideline. Statistical significance were set at p<0.05.
Results: Among the 74 subjects with a mean age of 37.4 (8.89) years, 29 (39.2%) had mild AGA and 45 (60.8%) had moderate to severe AGA. The mean serum 25(OH)D level for all participants was 18.9 (5.89) ng/mL, indicating vitamin D deficiency. For those with mild AGA, the mean serum 25(OH)D level was 21.8 (6.39) ng/mL, while for those with moderate to severe AGA, it was 17.1 (4.79) ng/mL. There was a statistically significant association between serum 25(OH)D levels and vitamin D status with AGA severity (p=0.01; p<0.001). Additionally, a significant association was found between hair diameter and AGA severity (p=0.036).
Conclusion: This study found significant association between vitamin D status and serum 25(OH)D levels with AGA severity in men

"Latar Belakang: Infeksi daerah operasi (IDO) merupakan salah satu komplikasi pascaoperasi tersering yang meningkatkan morbiditas, mortalitas, dan beban biaya kesehatan. Penerapan strategi pencegahan hanya menurunkan sedikit angka infeksi nosokomial pada pembedahan. Vitamin D diketahui memiliki pengaruh pada regulasi imun dan penyembuhan luka. Namun, hanya sedikit studi yang menilai efek potensialnya dalam mengurangi kejadian IDO dengan hasil yang didapatkan belum konsisten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai hubungan status vitamin D serum praoperasi dengan kejadian IDO pascalaparotomi elektif.
Metode: Studi kohort prospektif ini dilakukan pada subjek berusia 18–65 tahun di RS pendidikan tersier, RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangungkusumo, yang dirawat untuk laparotomi elektif pada bulan Maret hingga Juni 2023. Pengukuran 25-hidroksi vitamin D serum praoperasi menggunakan metode chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA) dengan cutoff defisiensi pada kadar <30 ng/mL. Penegakkan diagnosis IDO berdasarkan kriteria Centers for Disease Control and Prevention dilakukan melalui pemantauan harian selama 30 hari pascaoperasi. Analisis bivariat dan multivariat digunakan untuk menilai hubungan antara variabel bebas dan terikat, serta mengidentifikasi faktor perancu lain yang berhubungan dengan IDO. 
Hasil: Dari total 117 subjek penelitian, sebanyak 90,4% subjek defisiensi vitamin D dan 20,5% subjek mengalami IDO. Defisiensi vitamin D praoperasi signifikan meningkatkan risiko kejadian IDO dibandingkan tidak defisiensi (RR 1,16, 95% CI 1,07–1,26). Analisis lanjutan dengan regresi logistik untuk faktor perancu lain memeroleh bahwa status albumin serum praoperasi menjadi faktor yang paling signifikan meningkatkan risiko kejadian IDO.
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik antara defisiensi vitamin D serum praoperasi dengan kejadian IDO pascalaparotomi elektif.

Background: Surgical site infection (SSI) is one of the most common postoperative complications that increases morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs. The implementation of preventive strategies has only resulted in a slight reduction in nosocomial infection rates in surgical procedures. Vitamin D is known to have an influence on immune regulation and wound healing. However, there have been few studies assessing its potential effect in reducing the incidence of SSI, and the results obtained so far have been inconsistent. This study aims to assess the relationship between preoperative serum vitamin D status and the occurrence of SSI after elective laparotomy.
Methods: This prospective cohort study was conducted on subjects aged 18–65 years at a single tertiary teaching hospital, RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo, who underwent elective laparotomy from March to June 2023. Measurement of preoperative serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D was done using the chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA) method with a deficiency cutoff at levels <30 ng/mL. The diagnosis of SSI was based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention criteria through daily monitoring for 30 days postoperatively. Bivariate and multivariate analyses were used to assess the relationship between independent and dependent variables and identify other confounding factors associated with SSI. 
Results: Out of a total of 117 study subjects, 90.4% were vitamin D deficient, and 20.5% developed SSI. Preoperative vitamin D deficiency significantly increased the risk of SSI compared to non-deficiency (RR 1.16, 95% CI 1.07–1.26). Further analysis using logistic regression for other confounding factors revealed that preoperative serum albumin status was the most significant factor in increasing the risk of SSI.
Conclusion: There is a significant statistical association between preoperative serum vitamin D deficiency and the occurrence of SSI after elective laparotomy.
