"This open access book summarizes the results of the European research project Twin-model based virtual manufacturing for machine tool-process simulation and control (Twin-Control). The first part reviews the applications of ICTs in machine tools and manufacturing, from a scientific and industrial point of view, and introduces the Twin-Control approach, while Part 2 discusses the development of a digital twin of machine tools. The third part addresses the monitoring and data management infrastructure of machines and manufacturing processes and numerous applications of energy monitoring. Part 4 then highlights various features developed in the project by combining the developments covered in Parts 3 and 4 to control the manufacturing processes applying the so-called CPSs. Lastly, Part 5 presents a complete validation of Twin-Control features in two key industrial sectors: aerospace and automotive. The book offers a representative overview of the latest trends in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on machine tools."

"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas mengenai proses preservasi digital khasanah video Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mengidentifikasi proses preservasi digital khasanah video ANRI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berupa penjelasan mendalam dengan metode studi kasus. Studi kasus yang diambil adalah Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia ANRI . Penelitian ini dilakukan di tiga Subdirektorat terkait, yaitu Subdirektorat Reproduksi dan Digitalisasi, Subdirektorat Penyimpanan, dan Subdirektorat Layanan Arsip disebabkan karena proses preservasi digital video yang dilakukan tidak berhenti hanya di satu unit dari ketiga unit terkait. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi secara langsung, wawancara dengan beberapa informan terkait dari ketiga Subdirektorat, dan yang terakhir analisis dokumen. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses digitalisasi dan alihmedia merupakan bentuk tindakan preservasi preventif yang dilakukan oleh ANRI dalam mencegah dan memperlambat adanya kerusakan terhadap arsip khususnya arsip video. Proses digitalisasi tersebut dapat dilakukan dalam dua cara, yaitu proses digitalisasi analog dan proses digitalisasi dengan menggunakan IT. Hingga saat ini, kedua cara tersebut masih tetap digunakan. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh keterbatasan players yang ada.

ABSTRACTThis thesis discusses the process of digital preservation video archive of the Republic of Indonesia National Archives ANRI . The purpose of this research is to know and identify digital preservation process of ANRI video archive. This study uses a qualititative approach in the form of an in depth explanation with case study methods. The case study taken is the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia ANRI . This research was conducted in three related subdirectorates, namely Subdirectorate of Reproduction and Digitalization, Subdirectorate of Storage, and Subdirectorate of Archive Services because the process of digital video preservation performed did not stop only in one unit of the three related units. Data collection techniques in this study are direct observation, interviews with several related informants from the three Sub directorates, and the last document analysis. The results of this study indicate that the process of digitization and the media is a form of preventive preservation action conducted by ANRI in preventing and slowing the damage to the archive, especially the video archive. The process of digitization can be done in two ways, namely the process of analog digitalization and the process of digitizing by using IT. Until now, both ways are still in use. This is due to the limitations of existing players."

"Setiap individu menghasilkan arsip dalam kehidupan sehari-sehari, baik dalam bentuk fisik maupun digital. Pengelolaan arsip digital pribadi sangat penting untuk dilakukan demi menjaga informasi dapat tetap diakses. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi proses pengelolaan arsip digital pribadi serta tantangan yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa Manajemen Rekod dan Arsip Universitas Indonesia. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus oleh mahasiswa MRA yang aktif melakukan Personal Digital Archiving (PDA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa telah menerapkan langkah-langkah PDA seperti pengumpulan, penilaian, pendeskripsian, penyimpanan, dan pemeliharaan arsip digital pribadi mereka dengan efektif. Layanan cloud seperti Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud, dan Dropbox digunakan untuk memudahkan penyimpanan dan backup data. Namun, mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan seperti kurangnya disiplin dalam backup rutin dan kekhawatiran terhadap keamanan data. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya mempelajari teknologi dalam pengelolaan arsip digital pribadi untuk memastikan aksesibilitas dan keamanan jangka panjang.

Every individual generates records in their daily life, both in physical and digital forms. Personal digital archiving is crucial to ensure that information remains accessible. This study aims to identify the personal digital archiving processes and the challenges faced by students of the Records and Archives Management program at the University of Indonesia. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, this research focuses on Personal Digital Archiving (PDA) by Records and Archives Management students. The results show that students have effectively implemented PDA steps such as find, select, describe, storage, and manage of their digital archive. Cloud services like Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud, and Dropbox are utilized to facilitate data storage and backup. However, students face challenges such as a lack of discipline in routine backups and concerns about data security. This study emphasizes the importance of learning technologies in managing personal digital records to ensure long-term accessibility and security."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan penyimpanan berbasis cloud dalam mengelola arsip pribadi digital bagi mahasiswa UI yang melaksanakan tugas akhir. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui wawancara, dengan metode analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Mei tahun 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengorganisasian penyimpanan awan dalam pengelolaan arsip digital oleh mahasiswa UI yang melaksanakan tugas akhir menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa sudah terbiasa menggunakan penyimpanan awan. Namun, pengelolaan arsip digital yang dilakukan cenderung sederhana, terutama saat memasuki dunia perkuliahan. Mahasiswa lebih fokus pada tahap penyimpanan file dengan aman dan kemudahan akses di penyimpanan awan, tanpa mengacu pada pengelolaan arsip yang lebih lanjut. Tahap-tahap pengelolaan yang dilakukan meliputi inisiasi, identifikasi, kategori sementara, pemeriksaan atau perbandingan, pemilihan, modifikasi atau penciptaan, hingga tahap kategori. Semua tahapan ini saling terkait satu sama lain. Pengelolaan arsip pribadi digital mahasiswa disesuaikan dengan pengetahuan dan kepentingan arsip masing-masing mahasiswa

This study aims to analyze the use of cloud-based storage in managing digital personal archives for UI students who are completing their final projects. The research was conducted qualitatively through interviews, with data analysis methods using thematic analysis. Data collection took place in May 2024. The results of the study show that the organization of cloud storage in managing digital archives by UI students working on their final projects indicates that students are accustomed to using cloud storage. However, the management of digital archives tends to be simple, especially when they first enter university. Students focus more on securely storing files and easy access in cloud storage, without referring to more advanced archive management. The stages of management carried out include initiation, identification, temporary categorization, examination or comparison, selection, modification or creation, and categorization. All these stages are interconnected. The management of students' digital personal archives is tailored to each student's knowledge and archival needs"
