Penelitian yang ada mengenai film ini hanya membahas tentang isu kekerasan dan beberapa isu-isu linguistik. Artikel ini akan menggunakan konsep lsquo;New Patriotism rsquo; milik Frank J. Wetta dan Martin A. Novelli dan akan menggunakan materi-materi baik visual maupun audio dari film ini. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan bagaimana Hollywood menggambarkan patriotism.

ABSTRACTFury 2014 is a World War II movie about a tank crew that tried to accomplish their missions inside their enemy territory. This movie depicted the hardships which the crew and their tank experienced during the war. This movie is one of the best to illustrate on how Hollywood depicts patriotism. Existing scholars research on this movie only found about the violence and the linguistic issue. This article will use Frank J. Wetta and Martin A. Novelli rsquo;s concept of lsquo;New Patriotism rsquo; and using both visual and audio material from the movie. This article aimed to disclose how Hollywood pictures patriotism."

"Dewasa ini, institusi pendidikan mulai dari sekolah dasar hingga perguruan tinggi maupun institusi kesenian seperti Taman Ismail Marzuki kerap mengadakan seminar ataupun kompetisi puisi bertemakan Indonesia dalam rangka menumbuhkan patriotisme pada pemuda. Fenomena ini mendorong peneliti untuk melihat ada atau tidaknya pengaruh puisi dengan konten patriotisme terhadap perasaan patriotik individu. Pengaruh bisa diketahui dengan melihat besaran skor perasaan patriotik menggunakan stimulus gambar yang menggambarkan Indonesia serta menggunakan respon positive affect dariPANAS Scale. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain 3 kelompok (kelompok puisi patriotisme, puisi non patriotisme, dan artikel patriotisme). Partisipan merupakan 104 mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia dari berbagai fakultas rumpun sosial-humaniora. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan skor rata-rata yang signifikan antara kelompok puisi patriotisme, puisi non patriotisme, dan artikel patriotisme, F(3,086) = 57,590 ; p = 0,000, serta uji post hoc test yang membuktikan bahwa puisi dengan konten patriotisme memiliki pengaruh paling besar terhadap perasaan patriotik dibandingkan puisi non patriotisme ataupun artikel patriotisme.

Nowadays, educational institution such as elementary school until university as well as art institution such as Taman Ismail Marzuki often hold seminar or poetry competition with Indonesia as a theme. This phenomenon motivates researcher to examine the effect of poetry with patriotism content on individual?s patriotism feeling. The effect can be examined through patriotism feeling score that stimulated by a picture represents Indonesia and measurement of individual?s positive affect by using PANAS Scale. This research is experimental research with three-groups design (patriotism poetry group, non-patriotism poetry group, and patriotism article group). The results carried out among 104 students from social-humanity faculty in Universitas Indonesia showed that there was a significant differences between patriotism poetry group, non-patriotism poetry group, and patriotism article mean score F(3.086)=57.590; p=0.000. Post-hoc test proved that poetry with patriotism content have the largest effect on patriotism feeling instead of non-patriotism feeling nor patriotism article."

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai representasi patriotisme pada proyek nasional di media sosial VKontakte. Patriotisme yang dimaksud mengacu pada wacana yang dicanangkan semenjak era Vladimir Putin menjabat sebagai Presiden Rusia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitis dengan sumber data berupa hasil pos di akun VKontakte. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori representasi Stuart Hall 1997. Hasil analisis ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat representasi patriotisme pada enam sumber data yang telah dipilih. Representasi tersebut merupakan hasil produksi dari peta konseptual dan bahasa yang sama dari suatu kelompok budaya.

This thesis discusses about the representation of patriotism in the national project on VKontakte. Patriotism in question refers to the discourse that was proclaimed since the Vladimir Putin era served as President of Russia. This research uses analytical descriptive method with source from VKontakte account. The analysis is using the representation theory of Stuart Hall 1997. The results of this analysis shows that there are representations of patriotism in the six data sources that have been selected. This representation is the product of the same conceptual map and language of a cultural group."

"Pada Era Tiga Negara terjadi salah satu perang yang disebut Pertempuran Tebing Merah yang hingga masa kini masih diceritakan ulang dalam berbagai format media. Para tokoh dan kisah Pertempuran Tebing Merah memiliki nilai postif yang dapat diwarisi oleh bangsa Cina, khususnya bagi para generasi muda Cina saat ini yaitu nilai patriotisme. Kisah Pertempuran Tebing Merah dan para tokoh di dalamnya menjadi salah satu strategi Cina untuk menyebarkan nilai patriotisme dalam bangsa Cina demi mengatasi tantangan yang dihadapi Cina pada masa kini.

The story of the Battle of Red Cliffs and the characters in it is one of China's strategies to spread the patriotism value in the Chinese nation, in order for China to overcome the challenges they are facing today."
