"Notes: Criminological Theory, 6/e provides concise chronological coverage of all the major criminological theories. The text puts theories into socio-historical context to illustrate how and why certain theories evolved, why they were popular at particular points in time, and how they are still active and influential today. The authors also examine the research and policies that were inspired by each theory. Specifically designed to suit one-semester courses, students and instructors alike will appreciate the text’s straight-forward approach, clear language, and comprehensive coverage."

This Final thesis discusses the pattern of radicalism that occurs in the environment of the state servant (ASN). The pattern is seen through the modus operandi of someone ASN who is exposed to radicalism by using the crime pattern theory that is elaborated with attachment theory. This writing searches data on the internet specifically about the case of ASN who are exposed to radicalism in Indonesia. The conclusion of this thesis is based on the findings of data collected by the authors that there is a repeated pattern on how and where the perpetrators propagate the action of radicalism is happening on social media as a medium. It also applies in the notion of nodes on the crime pattern concept or the journey to the action of radicalism that a person is exposed to radicalism to obtain his understanding through social media or from a collection of books and Internet information. While the idea of the edge of civil servants who are exposed to the radicalism describes social media as a place of absorption of the radicalism itself as a boundary of the territory. This can then affect individual crime patterns to engage in thecact of radicalismlism."

Rancangan Undang-Undang Penghapusan Kekerasan Seksual (RUU PKS) as a draft of special regulation to deal with cases of sexual violence is still under discussion. There are two main reactions to the discussion, support and rejection. The forms of support and rejection that were quite interesting were the peaceful social movement and demonstrations. The phenomenons were reported by the online mass media in two ways, textually and visually in the form of photographs. This paper focuses on the visual context, reviewing how visualization of actions supports or rejects the RUU PKS through photographs published by online media. The thinking framework and analysis of this paper is based on Gusfiled`s status politics, i.e. political action, collective movement, competition and prestige. Also using visual criminology concepts, i.e. new media, visuality, and photovoice. As a result, the two bases for this paper were visualized in photographs which published by online media."

"Criminologists can benefit from questioning the underlying assumptions upon which they rest their work. Philosophy has the ability to clarify our thoughts, inform us of why we think about things the way we do, solve contradictions in our thinking we never knew existed, and even dissolve some dichotomies we thought were cast in stone. One of those dichotomies is free will vs. determinism. Criminology must reckon with both free will and agency, as posited by some theories, and determinism, as posited by others-including the ever more influential fields of genetics and biosocial criminology. This title examines philosophical concepts such as these in the context of important criminological theories or issues that are foundational but not generally considered in the literature on this topic."
