"This book describes a flexible and largely automated methodology for adding the estimation of power consumption to high level simulations at the electronic system level (ESL). This method enables the inclusion of power consumption considerations from the very start of a design. This ability can help designers of electronic systems to create devices with low power consumption. The authors also demonstrate the implementation of the method, using the popular ESL language SystemC. This implementation enables most existing SystemC ESL simulations for power estimation with very little manual work. Extensive case-studies of a Network on Chip communication architecture and a dual-core application processor ARM Cortex-A9 showcase the applicability and accuracy of the method to different types of electronic devices. The evaluation compares various trade-offs regarding amount of manual work, types of ESL models, achieved estimation accuracy and impact on the simulation speed.
Describes a flexible and largely automated ESL power estimation method;
Shows implementation of power estimation methodology in SystemC;
Uses two extensive case studies to demonstrate method introduced."

Ocean waves have a huge potential as a sustainable energy sources, but currently we did not use it as a power generation especially in Indonesia. Whereas Indonesia is an archipelago that has vast sea and long coastline. Thus, it is expected that ocean waves energy could be a renewable energy solution to comply eletrical energy demand in coast and island region. Linear generator is a machine that converts mechanical energy in forms of linear motion to electrical energy.
The method used by author in compiling this thesis are theritical study on ocean waves, linear generator working principle and construction, literature study of preceeding research on ocean waves power conversion technology, and design a system of linear generator with 2 buoys as an ocean waves energy converter.
The result of this study is a prototype of an ocean waves power generation using linear generator system with 2 buoys that has a maximum open circuit voltage of 1,493 V, maximum power is 1,456 mW and maximum efficiency of output power is 13,24 in condition of waves with 7 cm amplitude and 1,5 second period.

"This book brings together successful stories of deployment of synchrophasor technology in managing the power grid. The authors discuss experiences with large scale deployment of Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) in power systems across the world, enabling readers to take this technology into control center operations and develop good operational procedures to manage the grid better, with wide area visualization tools using PMU data."
