"This is the Proceedings of the IUTAM Symposium on Solver Coupling and Co-Simulation that was held in Darmstadt, Germany, September 18-20, 2017. The symposium focused on recent advances in the development of numerical methods for solver coupling, like new explicit, implicit and semi-implicit co-simulation methods, new approaches for realizing variable communication-time grids, and advances in the stability and convergence analysis of solver coupling methods.
Recent developments in the practical application of co-simulation methods, for instance new fields of application for solver coupling approaches, new developments in the parallelization of dynamic models with co-simulation techniques, and standardization of co-simulation interfaces, i.e. standardization of data and model exchange were also discussed.
The book brings together the research results of leading scientists in applied mathematics, mechanics, and engineering science, thus contributing to further develop numerical methods for coupled simulations. "

"This book presents the most significant contributions to the DINAME 2017 conference, covering a range of dynamic problems to provide insights into recent trends and advances in a broad variety of fields seldom found in other proceedings volumes.
DINAME has been held every two years since 1986 and is internationally recognized as a central forum for discussing scientific achievements related to dynamic problems in mechanics. Unlike many other conferences, it employs a single-session format for the oral presentations of all papers, which limits the number of accepted papers to roughly 100 and makes the evaluation process extremely rigorous.
The papers gathered here will be of interest to all researchers, graduate students and engineering professionals working in the fields of mechanical and mechatronics engineering and related areas around the globe."

"This volume, which brings together research presented at the IUTAM Symposium Intelligent Multibody Systems-Dynamics, Control, Simulation, held at Sozopol, Bulgaria, September 11-15, 2017, focuses on preliminary virtual simulation of the dynamics of motion, and analysis of loading of the devices and of their behaviour caused by the working conditions and natural phenomena. This requires up-to-date methods for dynamics analysis and simulation, novel methods for numerical solution of ODE and DAE, real-time simulation, passive, semi-passive and active control algorithms.
Applied examples are mechatronic (intelligent) multibody systems, autonomous vehicles, space structures, structures exposed to external and seismic excitations, large flexible structures and wind generators, robots and bio-robots.
The book covers the following subjects:
-Novel methods in multibody system dynamics;
-Real-time dynamics;
-Dynamic models of passive and active mechatronic devices;
-Vehicle dynamics and control;
-Structural dynamics;
-Deflection and vibration suppression;
-Numerical integration of ODE and DAE for large scale and stiff multibody systems;
-Model reduction of large-scale flexible systems."

"Many problems in mechanics involve deformable domains with moving boundaries, including fluid-structure interaction, multiphase flows, flows over soft tissues and textiles, or flows involving accretion/erosion to name but a few. The presence of a moving boundary presents considerable challenges when it comes to modelling and understanding the underlying system dynamics. This proceedings volume collects contributions made at the IUTAM Symposium on Recent Advances in Moving Boundary Problems in Mechanics held in Christchurch, New Zealand in February 2018."

The purpose of this study was to obtain dynamic parameters of structure such as natural frequency and mode shape . Dynamic parameters of structure obtained by doing theoretical and experimental analysis. The object used is railway fly over structure near Cikini Station which is a concrete box girder structure with a 24,98 m long. Box girder structure was modeled as solid, shell , and frame elements using SAP 2000 program to obtain dynamic parameters theoretically. the experiments conducted by placing the accelerometer sensor on the structure, excitation used is vibration from passing trains, But the data used are the data when the train was passing through the structure, i.e. when the structure is in free vibration conditions.
From structures modeling, showed natural frequency of the structure mode 1 was 4,48-4,61 Hz, mode 2 is 8,5-10,15 Hz and mode 3 is 14,71-17,85 Hz. From experiments showed natural frequency of the structure mode 1 was 5,85 Hz Hz, mode 2 is 10,74 Hz and mode 3 is 18.066-19.53 Hz. Mode shapes obtained from experiments was identical to the mode shapes from modeling result . Average value of damping ratio from experimental was 11,776%.
