"Meskipun mahasiswa telah mempersepsikan dukungan sosial yang berasal dari berbagai sumber, distres psikologis pada mahasiswa masih sering terjadi dan memiliki urgensi tinggi untuk diperhatikan dan diatasi. Perceived social support sebagai faktor sosial memengaruhi distres psikologis pada individu melalui persepsi bahwa dirinya dicintai, dipedulikan dan dihargai oleh orang lain sehingga individu merasa lebih percaya diri dalam mengatasi stresor. Self-compassion sebagai proses kognitif yang berperan dalam penilaian positif terhadap stresor melalui pemberian belas kasih dan kepedulian pada diri sendiri. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 416 mahasiswa berstatus aktif dalam rentang usia antara 18 hingga 25 tahun. Variabel distres diukur menggunakan Hopkins Symptom Checklist (HSCL), perceived social support diukur menggunakan Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) dan self-compassion menggunakan Self-Compassion Scale (SCS). Analisis utama regresi linear berganda untuk mengetahui pengaruh perceived social support dan self-compassion terhadap distres psikologis. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari perceived social support terhadap distres psikologis dan terdapat pengaruh negatif yang signifikan dari self-compassion terhadap distres psikologis

Although students have received social support from various sources, psychological distress on students is still common and has a high urgency to be noticed and overcome. Social support as a social factor influences psychological distress in individuals through the belief that they are loved, cared for and valued by others so that individuals feel more confident in dealing with stressors. Self-compassion as a cognitive process plays a role in positive appraisal of stressors through giving compassion and self-care. Participants in this study were 416 active status students in the age range between 18 to 25 years. Distress variables are measured using the Hopkins Symptom Checklist (HSCL), social support is measured using the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and self-compassion using the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS). The main analysis of multiple linear regression is to determine the influence of social support and self-compassion on psychological distress. The results found that there was a significant positive effect of social support on psychological distress and there was a significant negative effect of self-compassion on psychological distress."

"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah perceived social support dan penggunaan social networking sites (SNS) memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap distres psikologis. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap Mahasiswa (n=681). Untuk mengumpulkan data digunakan alat ukur Kessler Psychological Scale (K10), The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), dan Social Media Use Integration Scale (SMUIS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perceived social support secara signifikan berpengaruh dalam mengurangi tingkat distres psikologis mahasiswa (p < 0,001), sedangkan penggunaan SNS secara signifikan berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan distres psikologis pada mahasiswa (p < 0,001). Jika dibandingkan, perceived social support terbukti lebih kuat untuk mengurangi tingkat distres psikologis.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of perceived social support and social networking sites use on psychological distress. The respondents of this study are university students (n=681). This study uses Kessler Psychological Scale (K10), The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and Social Media Use Integration Scale (SMUIS) as instruments to gather data(s). The result of this study shows that theres a significant role of perceived social support in decreasing students psychological distress (p < 0,001) and theres a significant role of SNS Use in increasing students on psychological distress (p < 0,001)."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara distres psikologis dan perceived social support pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 1024 mahasiswa di Indonesia usia 18-25 tahun yang terdiri dari 727 orang perempuan 71 dan 297 orang laki-laki 29 . Distres psikologis diukur menggunakan Hopkins Symptom Checklist ndash; 25 HSCL-25 dan perceived social support diukur menggunakan Social Provisions Scale SPS .
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang negatif dan signifikan antara distres psikologis dan perceived social support pada mahasiswa r = -0,270, p = 0,000, signifikan pada LoS 0,01 . Artinya, semakin tinggi distres psikologis pada mahasiswa, semakin rendah perceived social support yang dimilikinya.

This research aimed to investigate the relationship between psychological distress and perceived social support among college students. This research was conducted using quantitative method. The participants of this research were 1024 college students in Indonesia aged 18 25 years old which consisted of 727 female 71 and 297 male 29 . "Para awardee program IISMA yang diharuskan untuk menjalani perkuliahan selama satu semester di host university sangat mungkin mengalami berbagai tantangan akademik yang berpotensi memunculkan kegagalan sehingga dibutuhkan kemampuan resiliensi akademik yang baik agar awardees dapat bangkit dan menunjukkan performa yang maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara self-compassion dan resiliensi akademik dengan perceived social support sebagai moderator. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner daring yang berisi tiga alat ukur (ARS-Indonesia, Self-compassion Scale (SCS), dan The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS)) kepada awardees program IISMA batch 1 dan 2. Hasil analisis data pada 157 partisipan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan antara self-compassion dan resiliensi akademik (r = .646 (p < .001) serta antara perceived social support dan resiliensi akademik (r = .311 (p < .001). Akan tetapi, perceived social support tidak dapat memoderatori hubungan antara self-compassion dan resiliensi akademik F(3,153) = 37.4749 p > .05. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam mengevaluasi program IISMA khususnya dari segi psikologis para awardee saat berada di host country.

IISMA awardees who are required to attend lectures for one semester at the host university may encounter a variety of academic difficulties that could lead to failure. Therefore, awardees need strong academic resilience skills to overcome these difficulties in order to perform well. The aim of this study is to look at the relationship between self-compassion and academic resilience with perceived social support as the moderator. The study was conducted online by giving out questionnaires that include three measurement tools (ARS-Indonesia, Self-compassion Scale (SCS), The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) to IISMA alumni from batch 1 and 2. The result from data analysis on 157 participants showed a positive significant correlation between self-compassion and academic resilience (r = .646 (p < .001) as well as between perceived social support and academic resilience (r = .311 (p < .001) ) However, perceived social support cannot moderate the relationship between self-compassion and academic resilience F(3,153) = 37.4749 p > .05. This study is expected to be useful as a reference in evaluating the IISMA program, specifically in terms of the psychological factors of the awardees during the study program in the host country."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah self-compassion memediasi hubungan antara perceived social support dengan gejala depresi. Menimbang hasil penelitian bahwa gangguan psikologis terutama depresi paling rentan dialami oleh individu usia 18 hingga 25 tahun, maka gejala depresi penting untuk diperhatikan pada periode emerging adulthood. Desain penelitian ini yaitu korelasional. Jumlah partisipan 803 partisipan usia 18 hingga 25 tahun, dengan ketentuan belum menikah dan belum mempunyai anak. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MPSS), General Health Questionnaire-1 2 (GHQ-12), dan Self-Compassion Scale-Short Form (SCS-SF). Hasil pengujian statistik membuktikan bahwa self-compassion memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara perceived social support dan gejala depresi, dengan indirect effect(β = - .067, p = 0.0000) dan direct effect(β = - .081, p = 0.0000) yang signifikan. Hasil analisis mediasi menunjukan perceived social support dapat langsung melewati gejala depresi atau melewati self-compassion terlebih dahulu. Individu yang mempersepsi mendapatkan perceived social support yang tinggi, akan merasa dirinya berharga dan berusaha menoleransi kondisi sulit yang dialami, sehingga memunculkan pemberian kebaikan pada diri sendiri dan mengurangi gejala depresi.

This study aims to determine whether self-compassion mediates the relationship between perceived social support and depressive symptoms. Considering the results under study that psychological disorders, especially depression, are the most susceptible to individuals aged 18 to 25 years, whose symptoms of depression are important to pay attention to what appears. The design of this study is correlational. Number of participants 803 participants aged 18 to 25 years, provided that they were single and had no children. The instrument in this study is Multidimensional Scale of Social Perception Support (MPSS), Public Health Questionnaire-12 (GHQ-12), and Self-Compassion Scale-Short Form (SCSSF). Statistical test results have shown that self-compassion partially mediates the relationship between perceived social support and depressive symptoms, with significant indirect effects (β = - .067, p = 0.0000) and direct effects (β = - 081, p = 0.0000). The results of the mediation analysis show that perceived social support can directly influence depressive symptoms or affect self-compliance = first. Emerging adults who feel they have high perceived social support, will feel themselves worthy and try to tolerate difficult conditions that are experienced, thus providing good for themselves and reducing symptoms of depression."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan social support dan resiliensi dengan distres psikologis pada mahasiswa di Indonesia. Responden dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa berusia 18-25 tahun. Fenomena distres psikologis pada mahasiswa disebabkan oleh banyaknya tuntutan yang dibebankan pada mahasiswa dan sulitnya mencari sumber materi perkuliahan yang akan diikuti serta padatnya jadwal perkuliahan, sehingga untuk mengatasi hal tersebut diperlukan social support dan resiliensi bagi mahasiswa. Meski demikian, distres psikologis pada mahasiswa masih sering terjadi dan memiliki urgensi yang tinggi untuk diperhatikan dan diatasi. Penelitian terdahulu telah menemukan adanya interaksi resiliensi dalam pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap penurunan tingkat distres psikologis.
Tipe penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan tiga skala penelitian dalam pengambilan data yaitu MSPSS mengukur social support, HSCL-25 mengukur distres psikologis, dan CD-RISC untuk resiliensi. Teknik accidental sampling dengan pengambilan data secara online sebanyak 417 responden dengan hasil bahwa social support dan resiliensi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap distres psikologis. Implikasi penelitian yakni bagi mahasiswa untuk lebih menjalin komunikasi dengan teman, keluarga dan orang di sekitar agar mendapat dukungan sosial yang baik dan akan berdampak pada ketahanan mahasiswa dalam menghadapi setiap masalah sehingga distres psikologis akan menurun

This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and resilience with psychological distress in Indonesian students. Respondents in this study were students aged 18-25 years. The phenomenon of psychological distress in students is caused by the many demands placed on students and the difficulty of finding the source of the subject matter to be followed and the busy lecture schedule, so that to overcome this, it requires social support and resilience to students. Even so, psychological distress in students is still common and has a high urgency to be noticed and overcome.
This type of quantitative research uses three research scales in data collection, namely MSPSS to measure social support, HSCL-25 to measure psychological distress, and CD-RISC for resilience. The accidental sampling technique used online data collection was 422 respondents with the result that social support and resilience had a significant effect on psychological distress. The research implication is for college students to better communicate with friends, family and people around them in order to get good social support and will have an impact on student resilience in facing every problem so that psychological distress will decrease

Studi sebelumnya membuktikan bahwa dukungan sosial yang dipersepsikan memediasi pengaruh optimisme terhadap distres psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dukungan sosial yang dipersepsikan sebagai mediator dalam pengaruh optimisme terhadap distres psikologis. Partisipan berjumlah 416 mahasiswa di Indonesia yang mengikuti penelitian ini. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari LOT-R (Life Oriented Test-Revised), Hopkins Symptom Checklist-25 (HSCL-25), Multidimensional Scale of Social Support (MSPSS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara optimisme dan distres psikologis. Setelah analisis lebih lanjut ditemukan bahwa dukungan sosial yang dipersepsikan memediasi hubungan antara optimisme dan distres psikologis.

"Mahasiswa baru Universitas Indonesia seringkali dihadapkan dengan berbagai tuntutan dan perubahan di lingkungan barunya sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan distres psikologis. Self-compassion merupakan sumber kekuatan yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi berbagai permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa baru.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-compassion dan distres psikologis pada mahasiswa baru program sarjana Universitas Indonesia dan penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari payung penelitian distres psikologis, dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 393 mahasiswa baru Universitas Indonesia berusia 18-24 tahun. Variabel distres psikologis diukur dengan menggunakan Self Report Questionnaire 20 (SRQ-20), sedangkan variabel self-compassion diukur dengan menggunakan Self-Compassion Scale Short Form (SCS-SF).
Hasil pengujian statistik menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara self-compassion dan distres psikologispada mahasiswa baru program sarjana Universitas Indonesia r(393) = -.391, p < 0,01, one-tailed. Hal ini menunjukkan ketika self-compassion tinggi, maka tingkat distres psikologis yang dialami individu rendah. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kesadaran individu untuk menggunakan pendekatan self-compassion ketika dirinya memiliki kecenderungan untuk mengalami distres psikologis.

First-year student of University of Indonesia faced with various demands and transformation in their new environment, so that they can potentially raises psychological distress. Self-compassion is a source of strength that can be used to overcome various problems faced by first-year student.
This research aims to determine the relationship between self-compassion and psychological distress in first-year undergraduate student of University of Indonesia and part of psychological distress research with correlational study design. The research participants consisted of 393 first-year undergraduate student of University of Indonesia aged 18-24 years. Psychological distress variables are measured using Self Report Questionnaire 20 (SRQ-20), while the self-compassion variable is measured using the Self-Compassion Scale Short Form (SCS-SF).
The results of statistical tests show that there is a significant negative relationship between self-compassion and psychological distress among first-year student of University of Indonesia r (393) = -.391, p <0.01, one-tailed, means that as self-compassion level increased, psychological distress may decreased. The results of this study are expected to increase individual awareness to use the self-compassion approach when they tend to experience psychological distress.

"Latar Belakang: Banyak mahasiswa memiliki distres psikologis tinggi karena menghadapi berbagai masalah dan tuntutan baik akademis maupun non akademis. Keterampilan sosial telah teridentifikasi dalam model distres psikologis sebagai sumber yang penting bagi individu untuk mengelola stres. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini ingin mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan keterampilan sosial untuk membantu mahasiswa meningkatkan keterampilan sosial dan menurunkan distres psikologis yang dialaminya.
Metode: Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pre test post test design. Partisipan penelitian merupakan mahasiswa S1 Universitas Indonesia dalam rentang usia 18-25 tahun yang memiliki masalah keterampilan sosial dan distres psikologis. Masalah keterampilan sosial ditandai dengan skor rendah pada setidaknya satu dimensi Social Skills Inventories (SSI) dan atau ketimpangan skor diantara dimensi SSI yang dilihat dari jarak SD ≥ 6,3 untuk pria dan SD ≥ 5,4 untuk wanita. Masalah distres psikologis ditandai dengan skor Hopkins Symptom Check List-25 (HSCL- 25) ≥ 1,75. Program intervensi dilakukan dalam bentuk workshop 2 hari dengan waktu efektif 14 jam pelatihan.
Hasil: Berdasarkan perbandingan pengukuran pra dan pasca intervensi, ditemukan bahwa tidak ada partisipan yang memiliki skor rendah pada tiap dimensi keterampilan sosial. Tujuh dari delapan partisipan memiliki keseimbangan skor antar dimensi yang lebih baik. Seluruh partisipan mengalami penurunan skor HSCL-25, setengah darinya berada di bawah cut off score.
Kesimpulan: Pelatihan keterampilan sosial efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial dan menurunkan distres psikologis pada mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia.

Background: Many university students have a high psychological distress because of the academic and non academic problems and challenges. Social skills has identified in the psychological distress model as important source for managing stress. This study examines the implementation of social skills training to help university students increase social skills and decrease psychological distress.
Method: The research design is one group pre test post test design. The participants are University of Indonesia undergraduate students with age range from 18 to 25 years old. Social skills problem is stated if there is low score at least in one dimension of Social Skills Inventories (SSI) and or unbalanced score between the dimensions of SSI which based on SD ≥ 6,3 (male) and SD ≥ 5,4 (female). Psychological distress problem is stated if score of HSCL-25 ≥ 1,75. The format of intervention is two days workshop with 14 hours training duration.
Result: In accordance to the differential between pre and post intervention, there is no more low score in every SSI's dimensions. Seven from eight participants has a better balanced score between SSI's dimensions. All participants has lower score of HSCL-25. Half of the scores has already under the cut off score.
Conclusion: Social skills training is marked effective in increasing social skills and decreasing psychological distress for University of Indonesia undergraduate students.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara optimisme dan distres psikologis emerging adults miskin di DKI Jakarta. Optimisme diukur dengan Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R) dan distres psikologis diukur dengan Hopkins Symptoms Checklist-25 (HSCL-25). Partisipan penelitian ini berjumlah 261 orang dengan rentang usia 18-29 tahun, terdiri dari 92 (35,2%) laki-laki dan 169 (64,8%) perempuan. Dengan analisis Pearson Correlation, ditemukan hasil bahwa optimisme memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan distres psikologis (r(259) = -0,161, p = 0,009, two-tailed) dan r2 = 0,026.

This study aim to examine the relationship between optimism and psychological distress among poor emerging adults in DKI Jakarta. Optimism was measured by the Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R) and psychological distress measured by Hopkins Symptoms Checklist-25 (HSCL-25). The participants in this study were 261 with age range of 18-29 years old, consisting of 92 (35,2%) man and 169 (64,8%) women. With Pearson Correlation analysis, it was found that optimism had a significant relationship with psychological distress (r(259) = -0,161, p = 0,009, two-tailed) and r2 = 0,026."
