"Perkembangan kota sering menyebabkan ketidakpedulian mengenai kondisi ekologis kota dan menyebabkan kota menderita karena kurangnya area hijau. Sebagai ruang yang menyediakan fungsi ekologis terhadap sekitarnya, kurangnya ruang terbuka hijau mengakibatkan kurangnya penyerapan tanah, dan menghasilkan ketidakstabilan ekologis. Taman Maju Bersama sebagai program ruang terbuka hijau terbaru yang disediakan oleh pemerintah daerah Jakarta, diharapkan dapat memperbaiki kondisi ekologis lingkungan dan dengan keberadaanya tersebar di seluruh Jakarta, taman-taman tersebut diharapkan dapat memberikan perbaikan terhadap kondisi ekologis kawasan kota. Diskusi ini akan membahas satu Taman Maju Bersama yang beroperasi, terletak pada Kampung Pedaengan di Jakarta Timur, untuk mengevaluasi apakah desain mencerminkan prinsip-prinsip Ecological Democracy oleh Randolph T. Hester (2006) untuk menghasilkan fungsi ekologisnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menyiratkan bagaimana Taman Maju Bersama Pedaengan menyediakan tempat untuk melakukan kegiatan bersama alam yang juga berkelanjutan dan memberi masyarakat rasa memberi masyarakat rasa memiliki dan tanggung jawab terhadap taman sehingga menumbuhkan rasa kesatuan antara masyarakat dan lingkungnannya, yang mengarah pada perbaikan ekologi.

Urban development often leads to the ignorance of the ecological conditions in the city and causes the city to suffer from the lack of green area. As a space that provides ecological functions towards its surrounding, lack of green open spaces resulted in the lack of land absorption, hence ecological instability. Taman Maju Bersama as the newest green open space program provided by Jakartas local government, are expected to be able to improve the ecological conditions of the neighbourhood and with its existence spread throughout Jakarta, the parks are expected to provide improvements towards the ecological conditions of the city. The discussion will address one operating Taman Maju Bersama that is located in Kampung Pedaengan in East Jakarta, to evaluate whether the design reflects the principles of Ecological Democracy by Randolph T. Hester (2006) to generate its ecological functions. Therefore, the study implies how Taman Maju Bersama Pedaengan provides a place to conduct activities alongside nature that is also sustainable and gives the community a sense of belonging and responsibility to the park so that it fosters a sense of oneness between the community and its environment, which leads towards ecological improvement."

"Taman Lingkungan mempuyai peran sebagai ruang sosial yang berfungsi sebagai tempat dimana masyrakat dapat berekreasi, berinteraksi sosial, sebagai ruang edukasi, sampai sarana evakuasi. Begitu penting Taman Lingkungan sebagai ruang terbuka publik khusus dipermukiman tertata maupun tidak tertata harus optimal dalam pemanfaatannya. Maka diperlukan suatu kajian terkait hal pentingnya sebuah ruang terbuka public yang dapat melayani sesuai kebutuhan masyarakat yang tidak hanya sebagai ruang hijau tetapi juga sebagai ruang terbuka publik yang juga haruslah memenuhi standar ditijnjau dari luasan dan jumlah manusia berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum Nomor 05/PRT/M2008 tentang Pedoman Penyediaan dan Pemanfaatan Ruang Terbuka Hijau di Kawasan Perkotaan, khusus nya di area permukiman tertata dan tidak tertata maka daripada itu diperluka suatu studi untuk mengukur seberapa jauh keberhasilan dalam pemanfaatannya dengan adanya Taman Lingkungan di Permukiman dapat meningkatkan kualitas kehidupan masyarakat perkotaan. Pengukuran tingkat keberhasilan dengan kriteria aksesibilitas, dapat memberikan kesenangan dan menarik, mempunyai rasa aman dan nyaman dan juga dapat memberikan keterikatan terhadap warga. Studi ini dilakukan untuk mengukur sebarapa jauh tingkat keberhasilannya Taman Lingkungan sebagai ruang publik. Pelaksanaan studi di 11 Taman Lingkungan di Kecamatan Duren Sawit , yaitu taman Bambo Kuning, Taman Cempaka Taman Cengkir, Taman Duren Sawit Indah, Taman Jl.IG.Ngurah Rai, Taman, Taman Kesenian, Taman Lembah Palem, Taman Malaka Selatan 2, Taman Pondok Kopi 8, Taman Rusun Klender dan Taman Viaduct Klender akan dievaluasi mengukur tingkat keberhasilannya. Evaluasi didasarkan dengan persepsi masyarakat terhadap Taman Lingkungan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dengan random sampling dengan menggunakan analisis diskriptif, dengan Indeks Variasi Kualitatif untuk mengukur pencapaiannya. Dari hasil studi tingkat keberhasilan dari pemanfaatan Taman lingkungan secara keseluruhan 11 Taman Lingkungan tidak berhasil sebagai Ruang Terbuka Publik.

The Neighborhood Park has a role as a social space that serves as a place where society can have recreation, social interaction, as an educational space, until evacuation means. So important Neighborhood Park as a public open space specially settled orderly or unorganized must be optimal in its utilization. Therefore, a study is needed regarding the importance of an open public space that can serve the needs of the community not only as a green space but also as a public open space which must also meet the standards of the extent and number of people based on Regulation of the Minister of Public Works No. 05 PRT M2008 on Guidelines for the Provision and Utilization of Green Open Space in Urban Areas, specifically in settled and unorganized settlement areas, it is therefore required to study how much success in the utilization of Neighborhood Park in settlements can improve the quality of life of urban communities. Measuring success rates with accessibility criteria, can provide fun and exciting, have a sense of security and comfort and can also provide attachment to citizens. This study was conducted to measure how far the success rate of the Garden of the Environment as a public space. Study of 11 area Neighborhood Parks in Duren Sawit sub district, namely Bambo Kuning Park, Cempaka Park Cengkir Park, Duren Sawit Indah Park, Taman Jl.IG.Ngurah Rai, Taman , Taman Kesenian, Palem Valley Park, Taman Malaka Selatan 2, Taman Pondok Kopi 8, Klender Flat Garden and Klender Viaduct Park will be evaluated to measure the success rate. Evaluation was based on community perception on Neighborhood Park by using questionnaire with random sampling by using descriptive analysis, with Qualitative Variation Index to measure its achievement. From the results of the study the success rate of the utilization of Neighborhood Park as a whole 11 Environmental Parks did not succeed as Public Open Space. "

Oleh karena itu, dengan beragamnya usia masyarakat di lingkungan tersebut, taman harus dapat dirasakan manfaatnya oleh semua tahapan usia, salah satunya adalah lansia.Lansia merupakan tahapan saat seseorang telah memasuki usia 60 tahun atau lebih. Bertambahnya usia, akan memengaruhi pula terhadap kebutuhan dan kemampuan yang dimilikinya. Hal tersebut tentu akan berbeda dengan tahapan usia muda. Semakin tua usia, maka ada kecenderungan dari mereka akan bantuan orang lain untuk bergerak. Tetapi dengan kebutuhan lansia untuk beraktivitas sosial di lingkungannya, menyebabkan dibutuhkannya fasilitas di ruang terbuka tersebut. Dengan memperhatikan adanya kebutuhan yang berbeda, menjadikan adanya perbedaan pula terhadap ketertarikan terhadap pojok atau bagian yang disediakan di taman.Taman lingkungan menjadi media untuk lansia memenuhi kebutuhannya di ruang terbuka berdasarkan kemampuan fisik dan nonfisik yang dimilikinya. Pojok atau bagian taman yang menarik perhatian lansia tentunya harus sesuai dengan kemampuan tersebut. Dengan mengetahuinya, akan berperan penting terhadap pojok atau bagian yang disediakan di taman lingkungan sebagai fasilitas lansia dalam memenuhi kebutuhannya dalam bersosialisasi dan berinteraksi di ruang terbuka dengan aman dan nyaman melalui contoh Taman Dadap Merah.

ABSTRACTParks, both neighborhood parks and city parks, are part of Green Open Spaces or RTH which are provided to facilitate communities in certain neighborhood. A park is built as an exciting place for its users to recreate, socialize, and enjoy its beauty, in addition to its function as the lungs of the city. Neighborhood parks are used by various ages in communities, from young people to elderly. Therefore, with various people from all ages inhabiting a certain neighborhood, the benefits of a park should be available for everyone, one of which is the elderly people.Elderly is a stage when someone has entered the age of 60 years or above. By ageing, it will affect the needs and abilities an individual has. It will be different with those in a young age. By getting older, there will be an increased need for the assistance from others to move around. Their needs for having social activites at their neighborhood are causing the need for facilities at open space available to them. By noticing their different needs, it also makes a difference in providing interesting corners specially for them.Neighborhood park becomes platform for elderly people to fulfill their needs in an open space, which is based on their physical and nonphysical abilities. The corners or spots within parks that can pique their interest must be suitable for their abilities. Knowing them, will play an important role in ensuring corners or spots of parks within neighborhood park act as an elderly facility. It is a facility to fulfill the needs of its elderly users in socializing and interacting safely and comfortably in open spaces. Taman Dadap Merah will be used as the case study."
