The rapid internet growth and advancement in technology has led to the expansion of a new and innovative financial service or financial technology (Fintech). Peer-to-Peer Lending is one of the Fintech categories that facilitate lending mechanism between lender and borrower through the Internet without the involvement of collateral and financial institutions. Trust must be cultivated to tackle the high risk while using the online lending systems. Trust between lender and borrower have been discussed a lot, but there are limited studies focusing on trust towards lending platforms. This study aims to understanding the critical factors that drive lender’s trust in platform to invest on Peer-to-Peer Lending Platform. To test the model, 180 participants with investing in Indonesian Peer-to-Peer Lending experiencee were collected. The proposed model is empirically tested using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) resulting positive effect of Perceived Regulatory Protection, Service Quality, and Security Protection on Trust in Platform and Trust in Platform positively affecting Willingness to Lend. The findings of this research provide valuable insights for future academic studies as well as practical guidance for Peer-to-Peer Lending Platform. "

Namun dibanding perusahaan penyedia layanan konvensional, peer to peer (P2P) lending syariah tumbuh cenderung lambat.

ABSTRACT
Rapid development of financial technology has contributed to the growth of financial sector in Indonesia, as seen by the increasing number of peer to peer (P2P) lending providers, including those that provide sharia-based services. However, compared to conventional peer to peer (P2P) lending providers, Sharia peer (P2P) lending tends to grow more slowly. This condition contradicts with the fact that Indonesia has many potential users due to big number of Muslim population, including the millennial Muslim generations. By using The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) 2 as theoretical approach, this research aims to analyze factors which influences the behavioral intention of the millennial generation of Muslims in using sharia P2P lending, that consist of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, price value, perceived risk, trust in platform, and religiosity. The results based on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis showed that performance expectancy, social influence, price value, religiosity and trust in the platform on the behavioral intention of using sharia P2P lending were found to be significant. On the other hand, the effort expectancy, facilitating condition, and perceived risk factors on behavioral intention are not found to be significant. In addition, characteristic and significance difference were found among two group of respondents. In general, the level of knowledge of the millennials of Muslims is categorized as understand of P2P lending existence, but this has not been followed with P2P lending usage itself. As an addition, the users of this service were found to still concentrated on Java Island."

In this digitalization era, people tended to use the internet as their main consumption, including in economic activities so that financial technology emerged rapidly in recent years, one of which was in the lending sector, Peer-to- Peer Lending. But this Peer-to-Peer Lending has risks that ultimately build perceptions of investors, especially financial risk (investment risk). So this study wants to examine how the factors of Perceived Financial Risk (Investment Risk) such as perceptions of information asymmetry and perceptions of regulatory uncertainty can affect investors in investing in Indonesian Lending Peer-to-Peers continuously. This study collected 107 respondents who were investors from Indonesian Peer-to-Peer Lending. The method used to test the hypothesis in this study is PLS-SEM which produces Perceived Information Asymmetry and Perceived Regulatory Uncertainty which have a positive effect on Perceived Financial Risk (Investment Risk) and Perceived Financial Risk (Investment Risk) negatively affecting Continuance Intention. The Perceived Information Asymmetry and Perceived Regulatory Uncertainty variables were previously tested by other subjects, so no research has been tested on the subject of Peer-to-Peer Lending."

The high risk of the security system posed by financial technology companies requires a risk management process from the regulator to reduce the potential fallibility of security systems in financial technology companies in the peer to peer lending sector in Indonesia. In the implementation process, cooperation between the Financial Services Authority, the Ministry of Communication and Information and the Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI) is required. This research refers to the theory of risk management in the public sector and in analyzing the COSO ERM framework is used. The approach in this study uses a post-positivist approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with several actors involved and literature study. The results of this study indicate that risk management carried out by the government, namely the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo), is proven to reduce the potential fallibility of the security system in peer to peer lending fintech companies because it fulfills six of the seven indicators, namely supervision. and risk governance, operational structure, risk identification, risk severity, risk priority, and risk response. However, there is one indicator that is not fulfilled, namely commitment in the core values of the entity. In addition, the cause of the security system vulnerabilities of peer to peer lending fintech companies can be influenced by internal factors, namely the implementation of standards for securing company data, company resources, and the availability of risk management roadmaps. Meanwhile, the external factor that affects is the uncertainty of government regulations, in this case government regulations are very important in carrying out the process of implementing risk management."

The development of information technology has created innovations in financial sector, one of them is Sharia Peer-to-Peer Lending. Sharia Peer-to-Peer Lending operators in Indonesia compete to provide various financing products with various akad and programs, while rules for their implementation are only regulated by POJK NO 77/POJK.01/2016 and in the DSN-MUI Fatwa No 117/DSN-MUI/II/2018. This study discusses the financing mechanism and supervision model of Sharia Peer-to-Peer Lending in Indonesia. This research is normative research and analytical descriptive. The results showed that the financing mechanism has in accordance with DSN MUI Fatwa, and implemented in three stages; the stage of receiving financing, offering investment, and investment period. Sharia compliance is carried out within the stage of receiving financing and during the investment period. Supervision of Sharia Peer-to-Peer Lending is carried out by internal and external parties. Internal supervision is carried out by the operators by making and implementing SOPs that have been approved by the OJK. DPS participates in monitoring sharia aspects. External supervision is carried out by OJK, unfortunately OJK not yet specifically have a special program or unit that oversees sharia aspects. DSN plays a role in indirect supervision by providing DPS recommendations, coaching, and revoking DPS. Operators should optimize the integration of sharia aspects in SOPs and their implementation. OJK must issue new rules to accommodate Sharia Peer-to-Peer Lending and carry out specific supervision on sharia aspects. DPS should optimize its role in conducting supervision. DSN should continue to conduct various trainings and certifications to increase the number of DPS which is still limited"

In recent years, financial technology or commonly called fintech experienced very rapid growth. One of the categories of fintech that is booming is peer to peer lending. Peer to peer lending connects online loan access and borrowing funds without having to meet face to face between the borrower and lenders. In Indonesia, peer to peer lending has a much faster growth than bank growth when viewed from the side of accumulated funds lent to customers, where in the two years of operation accumulated loans that have been channeled reached 25 Trillions Rupiah. Because it has known for its various risks and crimes from peer to peer lending in other countries, many people are still fairly hesitant to invest in peer to peer lending. Therefore, peer to peer lending companies which operated in Indonesia need a strategy to increase willingness to lend to the community. In making this strategy, the effect of factors that are significant in influencing willingness to lend will be examined. After obtaining these factors, this study will use importance-satisfacion analysis based on discussion with expert in determining which strategy is right for the company to increasing the willingness to lend as well as increasing satisfaction in Indonesian society
