"ABSTRAK
Novel Allah Pas Oblige adalah novel keempat karya penulis frankofon Afrika, Ahmadou Kourouma. Novel ini bercerita tentang kondisi kehidupan masyarakat Afrika Barat ketika terjadi perang tribal dan penindasan rakyat sipil oleh kelompok serdadu anak atau enfants-soldats terhadap rakyat sipil. Penelitian ini mengkaji relasi kuasa yang melibatkanpemimpin masyarakat dan rakyat sipil dengan menggunakan konsep relasi kuasa Michel Foucault dan memaparkan kondisi kehidupan masyarakat Afrika Barat saat perang tribal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya empat bentuk relasi kuasa dalam novel ini, bentuk-bentuk itu antara lain relasi kuasa atas tubuh, pemikiran, wacana, dan disiplin. Penelitian ini juga membuktikan bahwa terdapat banyak petinggi negara di Afrika yang memanfaatkan keluguan anak-anak untuk merampas kekayaan negara. Tidak hanya itu, mereka juga mencuci otak anak-anak tersebut agar mau menjadi enfants-soldats dan melakukan tindakan yang tidak pantas untuk dilakukan oleh anak kecil, seperti merampok, memperkosa, dan membunuh. Peperangan, keculasan, kerakusan, dan kehancuran ini merupakan suatu ironi yang terjadi di Afrika.
ABSTRACT
Allah N rsquo;est Pas Oblige is the fourth novel, written by the African Francophone author, Ahmadou Kourouma. This novel unveils the story about the people rsquo;s live condition in Western Africa during the tribal war and the massacre by child soldiers or known as enfants-soldats towards the civilians. This research analyzes the power relation that concerns the people rsquo;s leaders and civilians using Michel Foucault rsquo;s theory of power relations and showing the life conditions of Western Africans during the tribal war. The result of this research indicates the presence of four types of power relations in this novel, which are as follows: power relation over body, thoughts, knowledge, and discipline. This research also proves that several leaders in Africa take advantage of the children rsquo;s innocence to rob the country rsquo;s wealth. Furthermore, they also brainwash the children to become enfants-soldats and to do things that are not meant for young children, such as robbing, raping and murdering. Wars, fraud, gluttony and this destruction is an irony that happens in Africa."

"Tesis ini membahas renjana dan urgensinya dalam praktik mengajar bahasa Prancis sebagai bahasa asing di SMA di Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, dan Bekasi (Jabodetabek). Renjana yang termasuk ke dalam ranah psikologi merupakan faktor yang paling penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan belajar pemelajar. Renjana dan motivasi saling memengaruhi. Semakin tinggi motivasi, semakin kuat renjana yang dimiliki. Meskipun keduanya penting, sedikit penelitian yang membahas renjana dan motivasi mengajar. Semua terfokus pada motivasi siswa. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi berapa banyak dari pembelajar bahasa Prancis se-Jabodetabek yang memiliki renjana mengajar, menjelaskan bagaimana praktik mengajar mereka di dalam kelas, dan membahas faktor apa yang memengaruhi renjana dan motivasi mereka untuk mengajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan ancangan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus eksplanatori. Data didapatkan dari grup MGMP Bahasa Prancis Jabodetabek yang berisi 37 pembelajar bahasa Prancis di SMA dan data itu dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, lembar refleksi diri untuk pembelajar, dan wawancara semi-terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pembelajar bahasa Prancis yang memenuhi semua kriteria bagi pembelajar yang memiliki renjana mengajar. Namun, terdapat tiga guru yang mendekati kriteria renjana mengajar dan menunjukkan efektivitas pembelajaran, bahkan mendapat penilaian cukup baik dari pemelajarnya. Selain itu, terdapat korelasi positif antara kualitas motivasi ekstrinsik yang mereka miliki dan evaluasi pemelajar. Akan tetapi, korelasi itu tergolong lemah atau tidak signifikan. Alhasil, hubungan antara keduanya tidak meyakinkan. Oleh sebab itu, pembelajar, sekolah, dan institusi kependidikan sangat perlu menjadikan renjana mengajar sebagai suatu hal yang harus ditumbuhkan, dipertahankan, dan dimasukkan ke dalam kurikulum pendidikan pembelajar karena mengajar pada hakikatnya merupakan kegiatan yang muncul dari tekad dalam hati atau panggilan hati, bukan dari gaji, liburan panjang, dan status sosial. Untuk menumbuhkan dan mempertahankannya, beberapa kiat dan faktor yang memengaruhi renjana disajikan, baik dari dalam (internal) maupun dari luar diri pembelajar (eksternal).

This paper talks about passion and its urgency in teaching French as foreign language at senior high school in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek). Passion that belongs to the field of psychology is the most important factor of students learning success. In fact, passion and motivation influence each other. The higher motivation is, the more powerful passion is. Though these are important in teaching, little work has been done into passion and motivation to teach. Instead, most studies have focused on students motivation to learn. Therefore, this paper aims to identify how many of them have the passion to teach and to explain how teaching practices would be like for those passionate teachers in the classroom, as well as to discuss the factors that affect their passion and motivation to teach. This study uses a qualitative approach with an explanatory case study design. Data were obtained from MGMP Bahasa Prancis Jabodetabek Group containing of 37 French teachers at senior high school and data were collected through questionnaires, teacher self-reflection, and semi-structured interviews. The results show that no French teacher in Jabodetabek who has all of the criteria to claim himself/herself as someone who has the passion to teach. However, there are three teachers who reach almost all of the criteria needed to claim themselves as passionate teachers and they show an effectiveness of teaching. They even got a quite good assessment from their learners. In addition, there is a positive correlation between the quality of extrinsic motivation they have and the students assessment. However, the correlation is classified as weak or insignificant. As a result, its correlation is inconvincing. Therefore, teachers, schools, and educational institutions strongly need to make the passion for teaching something that must be grown, sustained, and incorporated into the educational curriculum because teaching is essentially an activity that comes from the heart or as a call, not from the level of pay, long holidays, and status. To grow and maintain it, several tips and factors affecting the passion are presented, both from within (internal) and from outside the teacher (external)."

"ABSTRAK
Dalam setengah dekade terakhir, produksi karya sastra pekerja migran di Singapura berkembang pesat. Para pekerja migran tersebut berkumpul untuk menarasikan kisah melalui segi pandang mereka sendiri, bertekad untuk membentuk ulang narasi dominan mdash;yang cenderung negatif mdash;seputar pekerja migran. Beberapa peneliti telah mulai mempelajari karya sastra produksi pekerja migran. Namun, penelitian yang mereka lakukan hampir selalu terfokus pada karya sastra itu sendiri; belum ada peneliti yang mendiskusikan produksi karya sastra pekerja migran dalam kaitannya dengan kekuasaan negara. Penelitian ini berusaha memahami bagaimana penulis migran memosisikan diri mereka di tengah sistem semi-otoriter Republik Singapura. Melalui metode etnografi daring online ethnographic method , peneliti mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara-wawancara yang dilakukan dengan penulis migran terkemuka yang karyanya telah dicetak dan diterbitkan oleh penerbit lokal. Penulis-penulis migran tersebut meliputi Wina Indonesia , Fedelis Filipina , dan Hasan Banglades . Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kesadaran kolektif dan politik para penulis migran dipicu oleh Migrant Worker Poetry Competition dan program-program pasca-acaranya yang diselenggarakan bersama Sing Lit Station. Dalam praktiknya, skema work permit untuk pekerja rumah tangga dan konstruksi bangunan menggeser kekuasaan dari pusat negara kepada para majikan; hal ini menciptakan efek pendisiplinan berganda terhadap para penulis migran. Sering kali, kondisi ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran bagi mereka. Akan tetapi, para penulis migran tersebut nyatanya dapat melakukan negosiasi terhadap kondisi ini. Faktor-faktor yang menentukan proses negosiasi tersebut meliputi: latar belakang pendidikan, kecakapan menggunakan perangkat sastra literary devices , dan kasus hukum yang pernah mereka alami.

ABSTRACT
The last half a decade has seen the proliferation of migrant literary writings in Singapore. These migrant writers have banded together to narrate their stories through their own lens, determined to reshape the dominant mdash often negative mdash discourse surrounding migrant workers. Researchers have begun to study these literary writings. However, such researches are invariably centered on the literary works no one has discussed the production of migrant literary works with regards to State power. This research attempts to understand how migrant writers position themselves amidst the soft authoritarian system of Singapore Government. Using online ethnographic method, I gathered data from online interviews with three prominent migrant writers who have their literary works published and circulated by local publishers. These writers include Wina Indonesian , Fedelis Filipino , and Hasan Bangladeshi 1 . The results demonstrate that the migrant writers rsquo political and collective consciousness is raised, in large part, by Migrant Worker Poetry Competition and its post event programs put together in collaboration with Sing Lit Station. In practice, the existing work permit scheme for domestic and construction workers decenters power from the State to employers, creating multiple disciplining forces towards migrant writers. Often, this condition raises concerns among said workers. Nevertheless, some negotiation is enacted by these migrants. The factors determining the negotiation enacted by these writers include educational background, mastery of literary devices, and legal cases that they have had in the past. 1 The names Wina, Fedelis, and Hasan are not their real names "

"[ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan apakah penilaian yang digunakan
guru Bahasa Inggris kelas 7 khususnya di SMP Islam PB Soedirman sudah
mendukung pembelajaran yang bemakna. Melalu konsep pembelajaran bermakna
yang dikemukakan oleh Andrson et.al (2001) dan konsep pembelajaran bermakna
dalam pandang kurikulum 2013, segala penilaian yang digunakan oleh guru dalam
dua materi pokok pembelajaran dianalisa. Tidak hanya sampai di situ, penelitian
ini juga melihat kualitas penilaian yang digunakan guru berdasarkan prinsip
penilaian bahasa menurut Brown (2004). Pada penelitian ini data dikumpulkan
sejak tanggal 5 januari 2015 sampai 10 maret 2015 melalui observasi kelas,
analisis dokumen, wawancara, serta kuesioner. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan
bahwa penilaian yang digunakan guru belum sepenuhnya mengarahkan siswa
pada kegiatan pembelajaran yang bermakna karena belum sepenuhnya melalui
retention. Tahapan-tahapan pada fase retention tidak semua dicapai oleh siswa
maka hasil pembelajaran belum dapat dikatakan maksimal. Terkait pembelajaran
bermakana dalam kurikulum 2013, penilaian yang digunakan guru sudah melalui
kelima pengalaman belajar pokok dalam kurikulum 2013. Penilaian yang
digunakan oleh guru juga belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan prinsip penilaian
bahasa.

teacher in SMP Islam PB Soedirman Grade 7 promoted meaningful learning.
Using Anderson et.al?s (2001) meaningful learning concept and the concept of
meaningful learning used in Kurikulum 2013, all assessments which were used by
the teacher within two lesson materials were analyzed. This study also analyzed
the quality of the assessment by using the theory of language assessment
principles discussed in Brown (2004). The data were gathered through class
observation, document analysis, interview, and questionnaire. This study reveals
that the assessment used by the teacher had not thoroughly promoted students to
meaningful learning because not all stages in retention phase were reached by the
students. However, the various assessment forms used by the teacher had
promoted students to the steps of 5 basic learning experiences in Kurikulum 2013.
Since the students were not able to reach all stages in the retention phase, it can be
said that learning output was not optimal. The assessment used by the teacher also

"Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk memerikan dan menjelaskan karakteristik bahasa sang ibu (BSI) kepada anak usia satu, tiga, dan lima tahun dalam pemerolehan bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris. Dalam penelitian untuk bahasa Indonesia data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang diperoleh dengan merekam percakapan diadik antara orang dewasa dan anak selama 60 menit dan data sekunder untuk bahasa Inggris.
Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa BSI penutur bahasa Indonesia, baik dari keluarga batih maupun dari keluarga luas banyak menggunakan kalimat yang panjang-panjang, tidak tertata apik, dan tidak gramatikal. Hasil tersebut sesuai dengan pandangan Chomsky (1965) mengenai sifat masukan bahasa yang diterima anak. Jadi, hasil tersebut tidak mendukung motherese hypothesis yang diasumsikan sebagai karakteristik tuturan orang dewasa penutur bahasa Inggris. Akan tetapi, dalam hal dominasi nomina dan keberlewahan dalam BSI, data yang ada mendukung motherese hypothesis. Terjadinya penyelarasan kompleksitas kalimat sesuai dengan usia anak juga mendukung fine-tuning hypothesis tetapi hal itu semata-mata untuk tujuan berkomunikasi, bukan untuk mengajarkan bahasa kepada anak.
Sementara itu, ayah dan saudara kandung penutur BSI bahasa Indonesia tampak sangat responsif terhadap anak. Hasil tersebut berbeda dengan temuan berbagai studi yang dilakukan pada penutur bahasa Inggris. Jadi, studi ini juga dapat dikatakan tidak mendukung father bridge hypothesis dan sibling bridge hypothesis. Hal itu terkait erat dengan faktor budaya dalam masyarakat timur dan masyarakat barat serta konteks percakapan. Kesamaan karakteristik dalam beberapa aspek tertentu yang diperoleh dalam BSI dari ibu, BSI dari ayah, dan BSI dari saudara kandung pada kedua bahasa menunjukkan keuniversalan karakteristik BSI.

This case study aimed at describing and explaining the characteristics of speech directed to the children at the ages of one, three, and five years old in Indonesian and English acquisition. This research used primary data for Indonesian language collected by recording dyadic conversation between adult and child for 60 minutes and secondary data for English.
The result showed that Indonesian speakers from both nuclear family and extended family frequently used long, degenerate, and ungrammatical sentences. This finding led to support to Chomsky's views (1965) on the nature of the language input that children receive. It did not, however, support the motherese hypothesis assumed to be the characteristics of English adult's speech addressed to child, except with regard to the dominant use of nouns and the redundancy. This study also found that adults adjusted the sentence complexity in their speech directed to child. This supported fine-tuning hypothesis. It was highly likely that this was done in the natural course of communication and not in order to give language teaching to the child. Indonesian fathers and siblings also appeared to be very responsive to the child. This finding differed from studies done with English speaking people and so did not support either the father bridge or sibling bridge hypothesis.
It was concluded that it was dependent on the cultural aspects of both eastern and western society and the context of conversation. The universality of CDS was revealed by the same characteristics in the certain aspects found in mother, father, and sibling's speech in both languages."

"Rongga is Austronesian language spoken by a minority group of 5.000 speakers in the Regency of East Manggarai at the border with Ngadha, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara Province. In the sociolinguistic context of diglossia in Indonesia, Rongga is highly disadvantaged. This Paper report the finding on loan words in Rongga showing a one-way influence and presure from Indonesian to Rongga. Two prominent linguistic features of Ronnga relevant for the feature of open syllable with certain unique phonemes characterising Rongga phonology. The discussion on the theoretical and practical implications of this preliminary study in terms of processes of language contact, multilingualism and endangerment is also given."

Setelah perang kemerdekaan dari Prancis (1954 ? 1962), Aljazair
mengalami perang saudara pada tahun 1990an antara agama dan pemerintah yang
menyebabkan perempuan menjadi korban dengan pembatasan aktivitas mereka.
Beberapa perempuan tidak menerima keadaan tersebut dan melakukan
emansipasi, salah satunya dengan menulis. Salah satu penulis perempuan feminis
Aljazair adalah Maïssa Bey dengan karya pertamanya, yaitu Au commencement
était la mer. Di dalam novel ini, Bey mendeskripsikan diskriminasi gender yang
dialami oleh perempuan Aljazair pada masa tersebut serta perlawanan terhadap
diskriminasi yang dilakukan oleh perempuan dan laki-laki. Melalui analisis unsur
intrinsik yang menggunakan teori struktural Roland Barthes mengenai hubungan
sintagmatik dan paradigmatik dan teori sekuen M. P. Schmitt dan Alain Viala,
ditemukan tiga bentuk diskriminasi gender dalam novel ini, yaitu stereotip,
marginalisasi, dan subordinasi. Selain itu, diketahui pula bahwa laki-laki ataupun
perempuan dapat menjadi pelaku ataupun penentang diskriminasi. Perlawanan
yang dilakukan terhadap diskriminasi gender berupa penggugatan stereotip serta
dukungan terhadap emansipasi perempuan untuk menghilangkan marginalisasi,
sedangkan subordinasi masih belum dapat dihindari karena berkaitan dengan
budaya patriarkal yang dianut oleh masyarakat. Kepala keluarga memiliki peran penting dalam diskriminasi gender ini.ABSTRACT

to women becoming victims to restrictions on their activities. Some women did
not accept this situation and did the emancipation, by writing. One of Algerian
feminist writers is Maïssa Bey with her first work, named Au commencement était
la mer. In this novel, Bey describes gender discrimination experienced by
Algerian women in the era as well as the fight against it done by women and men.
Through analysis of the intrinsic unsure which use the structural theory of Roland
Barthes syntagmatic and paradigmatic relations and M. P. Schmitt and Alain
Viala theory of sequences, found three forms of gender discrimination in this
novel, such as stereotypes, marginalization, and subordination. In addition, also
known that men and women could be perpetrators or opposing discrimination.
The resistance to gender discriminations could be criticizing stereotypes as well as
supporting the women emancipation to eliminate marginalization, whereas
subordination still cannot be avoided because it is associated with patriarchal
