"Supporting research writing explores the range of services designed to facilitate academic writing and publication in English by non-native English-speaking (NNES) authors. It analyses the realities of offering services such as education, translation, editing and writing, and then considers the challenges and benefits that result when these boundaries are consciously blurred. It thus provides an opportunity for readers to reflect on their professional roles and the services that will best serve their clients’ needs. A recurring theme is, therefore, the interaction between language professional and client-author. The book offers insights into the opportunities and challenges presented by considering ourselves first and foremost as writing support professionals, differing in our primary approach (through teaching, translating, editing, writing, or a combination of those) but with a common goal. This view has major consequences for the training of professionals who support English-language publication by NNES academics and scientists. Supporting Research Writing will therefore be a stimulus to professional development for those who support English-language publication in real-life contexts and an important resource for those entering the profession."

"As a national higher learning language, Malay language is still climbing up to the peak of highest hierarchy parallel with its status as an official language, national language and knowledge. however, on what extend malay language as a higher learning language able to uphold by the local academicians? they are liable to bring the Malay language globally within the context of scholarly publication. This case study was includes 13 clusters under the 2014 national professors council. Evaluations regarding scholarly publication had focus into 3 main categories, which are book publication (book, monographs, chapter in book), article in journal and article in proceeding. Clearly, the findings found that publication of all clusters dominated by the english language thus Malay language has not been in favor and priority among local academicians in their publication. This scenario shows that Malaysia higher education institues were not given contributed or taking actions to strengthen Malay language although they have known publication is a crucial part to boost our mother tongue internationally."

"Universitas Katolik Atma Jaya Jakarta (2011-2014). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengelolaan karya ilmiah dosen meliputi kebijakan, pengadaan, pengolahan, pelayanan (akses dan diseminasi) dan pelestarian serta kendala yang dihadapi di Perpustakaan Universitas Katolik Atma Jaya Jakarta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukakan dengan observasi, wawancara.Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pengelolaan karya ilmiah dosen masih belum berjalan seperti yang diharapkan, terlihat dari masih sedikitnya jumlah karya ilmiah yang terkumpul dan belum semua dosen mengumpulkannya pada perpustakaan. Permasalahan yang terjadi tidak terletak pada teknologi dan kebijakan yang sudah ada, namun pada implementasi kebijakan yang belum maksimal dilakukan. Karena belum adanya laporan mengenai karya ilmiah dosen kepada pihak universitas selaku pembuat kebijakan.

This thesis discusses Management of lecturer?s scholarly publications at Atma Jaya Catholic University (2011-2014). The purpose of this study was to describe the management of Lecturer Scholarly Publications includes policies, acquisition, processing, services (access and dissemination), and the preservation and obstacles encountered in the Library of the Catholic University of Atma Jaya Jakarta. Data collected by observation and interview.Results from this study is the management of Lecturer's Scholarly Publications is still not working as expected, it seen by the small number of Scholarly Publications collected and not all lecturers collect Scholarly Publcations at the library. The problems that occurred not on the technologies and policies that already exist, but on implementation of policy. because of the lack of reports of scientific work as a university lecturer to the policy makers. Because of the lack of reports of Lecturer?s Scholarly Publication to the university as the policy makers."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan antara manajemen waktu, locus of control, dan prestasi akademik pada siswa SMA. Prestasi akademik merupakan merupakan hal yang penting pada siswa SMA sebagai bahan evaluasi performa mereka di akademik. Evaluasi tersebut membantu siswa untuk mengetahui pekerjaan yang tepat di masa depan. Penelitian ini dilakukan ke 66 siswa SMA. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan alat ukur Time Management Behavior Scale (TMBS) untuk mengukur manajemen waktu, Levenson Multidimensional Locus of Control Scale (LMLoC) untuk mengukur locus of control, dan nilai rata-rata rapor untuk mengukur prestasi akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa semakin tinggi kepercayaan siswa bahwa konsekuensi yang mereka terima disebabkan oleh orang lain, maka semakin rendah prestasi akademik siswa. Lebih lanjut, semakin tinggi kepercayaan siswa bahwa konsekuensi yang mereka terima disebabkan oleh faktor kebetulan, keberuntungan atau takdir, maka prestasi akademiknya semakin rendah.

This study was conducted to examine the relationship between time management, locus of control and academic achievement. Academic achievement is important to senior high school students as an evaluation of their perform. That evaluation help students knowing the right job for them in the future. 66 students participated in this study. Time management measured with Time Management Behavior Scale (TMBS), locus of control measured with Levenson Multidimensional Locus of Control Scale (LMLoC) and academic achievement measured with report card grades. The result of this study is the higher student’s trust that the consequences they received were caused by other people, the lower student’s academic achievement. Furthermore, the higher student’s trust that the consequences they received were caused by fate, luck, chance, the lower student’s academic achievement"
