"My Liberation Notes merupakan drama Korea yang mengangkat tema tentang permasalahan yang dialami oleh kalangan dewasa muda. Fokus drama bercerita tentang pencarian jati diri tokoh-tokoh utama dalam menemukan arti kebebasan. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai permasalahan eksistensial yang terjadi pada tokoh Yeom Mi-Jeong. Mi-Jeong memiliki konflik dalam dirinya sehingga ia merasa hidupnya berjalan tanpa ambisi. Rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana relasi menjadikan seseorang menjadi eksis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjabarkan perubahan tahapan eksistensialisme yang terjadi pada tokoh Yeom Mi-Jeong. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan drama Korea My Liberation Notes sebagai sumber data primer. Selain itu landasan teori yang digunakan berasal dari buku yang ditulis oleh Gabriel Marcel, yaitu The Mystery of Being dan Being and Having. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa relasi intersubjektif yang terjadi pada tokoh Yeom Mi-Jeong mendorong munculnya perasaan cinta yang kemudian menjadikan seseorang menjadi individu yang being atau eksis. Yeom Mi-Jeong sebagai tokoh utama dalam drama My Liberation Notes memiliki berbagai momen yang memunculkan permasalahan eksistensial. Cara pandang Yeom Mi-Jeong yang berbeda dalam menghadapi setiap masalah yang ada menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan-perubahan dalam tahapan eksistensi pada tokoh Yeom Mi-Jeong. Relasi intersubjektif yang terjalin juga ikut memengaruhi eksistensinya.

My Liberation Notes is a Korean drama that addresses the issues faced by young adults. The drama primarily focuses on the quest for self-discovery in finding the meaning of liberation. This research discusses the existential problems experienced by the character Yeom Mi-Jeong. Mi-Jeong faces inner conflicts that make her feel as if her life lacks ambition. The formulation of the problem of this research is how relationships contribute to one’s existence. This study aims to describe the changes in the stages of existentialism that occur in the character Yeom Mi-Jeong. This study uses a qualitative method with the Korean drama My Liberation Notes as the primary data source. Other than that, the theoretical basis used comes from a book written by Gabriel Marcel namely “The Mystery of Being” and “Being and Having. The results showed that the intersubjective relationships experienced by the character Yeom Mi-Jeong lead to the emergence of feelings of love, which in turn contribute to one’s being or existence. Yeom Mi-Jeong as the main character in the drama My liberation Notes has various moments that raise existential problems. Yeom Mi-Jeong's different perspective in dealing with every problem that exists causes changes in the stages of existence of Yeom Mi-Jeong's character. The intersubjective relations that exist also influence its existence."
