"Apoteker adalah lulusan sarja farmasi yang telah menyelesaikan masa studinya dan disumpah. Sebagai seorang apoteker harus memenuhi standar kompetensi yang telah ditetapkan. Sehingga menjalani praktik kerja profesi di berbagai bidang yang memerlukan peranan apoteker sangat diperlukan. Praktik kerja profesi apoteker dilaksanakan pada tiga tempat yang berbeda. Pada situasi ini dilaksanakan pada bidang industri, apotek dan pemerintahan. Ketiga tempat tersebut adalah PT AstraZeneca Indonesia (industri), Apotek Prima Sehat (Apotek), dan Suku Dinas Kesehatan Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur (pemerintahan). Penempatan setiap calon apoteker dilakukan oleh pihak fakultas sehingga dapat tersebar dengan merata. Di setiap tempat, calon apoteker dibagikan ilmu dan penerapan ilmu yang beragam pada dunia kerja. Melalui kegiatan praktik kerja ini, diharapkan calon apoteker dapat menambah wawasan, pemahaman serta pengalaman dalam dunia kerja yang akan dihadapi oleh calon apoteker.

Pharmacists are pharmacy graduated who have completed their study and being sworn as a pharmacist. As a pharmacist, must meet the competency standar that has been appointed. Therefore, internship in various fields which require the role of pharmacist is needed. The internships were done in three different places. In this situation, the internships were held in pharmaceutical industry, drugstore, and government. Those were PT AstraZeneca Indonesia, Prima Sehat drugstore, and East Jakarta Sub Department of Health. The placement of every student was carried out by Faculty of Pharmacy UI so the student was spreaded evenly around Jakarta. In every place, the student was shared diverse knowledge and the implementation in workplace. Through this internship, the student was expected to gain more knowledge, insight, and experience in workplace that will be faced by a pharmacist."

Industri Farmasi merupakan instansi yang berperan penting dalam menyediakan obat yang bermutu tinggi sesuai dengan Cara Pembuatan Obat yang Baik (CPOB). Apoteker berperan penting sebagai personil kunci di dalam industri farmasi, yaitu kepala bagian pemastian mutu (QA), kepala bagian pengawasan mutu (QC), dan kepala bagian produksi. Pengawasan terhadap industri farmasi beserta produknya dilakukan oleh BPOM. Dalam rangka memberikan gambaran mengenai penerapan CPOB dan peran apoteker dalam industri farmasi, maka dilaksanakan Praktik Kerja Profesi oleh calon apoteker pada salah satu industri farmasi, yaitu PT AstraZeneca Indonesia – Cikarang. Selama PKP, calon apoteker diharapkan mampu memperluas wawasan, keterampilan, dan pengalaman praktis dalam melakukan pekerjaan kefarmasian di industri farmasi, terutama terkait penerapan CPOB. Tujuan dari tugas khusus ini adalah untuk menentukan penerapan batas waktu yang lebih ketat dalam manajemen deviasi di PT AstraZeneca Indonesia – Cikarang dan mengevaluasi kemungkinan penentuan batas waktu manajemen deviasi berdasarkan tingkat kekritisan deviasi dan ruang lingkup deviasi.

The Pharmaceutical Industry is an agency that plays an important role in providing high quality drugs in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB). Pharmacists play an important role as key personnel in the pharmaceutical industry, namely the head of quality assurance (QA), head of quality control (QC), and head of production. Supervision of the pharmaceutical industry and its products is carried out by BPOM. In order to provide an overview of the application of CPOB and the role of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, the Professional Work Practices are carried out by prospective pharmacists in one of the pharmaceutical industries, namely PT AstraZeneca Indonesia - Cikarang. During PKP, prospective pharmacists are expected to be able to broaden their horizons, skills, and practical experience in carrying out pharmaceutical work in the pharmaceutical industry, especially regarding the application of CPOB. The purpose of this special task is to determine the application of tighter time limits in deviation management at PT AstraZeneca Indonesia - Cikarang and evaluate the possibility of determining the time limit of deviation management based on the criticality of the deviation and the scope of the deviation.

As a preparation and experience of prospective pharmacists to be able to understand the role of pharmacists and improve competence, the Pharmacist Professional Work Practices are implemented at PT Adventis Pharma, the Indonesian Food and Drug Supervisory Agency, and Kimia Farma Pharmacy during the January-April 2019 period. During PKPA, it is expected that pharmacists can expand their insight, understanding, and experience to do pharmacy work in the professional workplace."

Pharmacists have an important role in the pharmaceutical industry, pharmacies and government. In each of these places, pharmacists have different roles. In order to carrying out this role, pharmacists must meet Indonesian Pharmacist Competency Standards and do the internship.There are 10 points in the Indonesian Pharmacist Competency Standards that must be met so that a pharmacist in Indonesia can be said to be qualified in carrying out their duties.Therefore, for increasing competencies and understanding the role of pharmacists in the real life, the internship is carried out at PT Mahakam Beta Farma, Apotek Kimia Farma No.96 Slipi, and The East Jakarta Administration City Health Office for the January-April 2019 period.
