"This book serves as an easily accessible reference for wireless digital communication systems. Topics are presented with simple but non-trivial examples and then elaborated with their variations and sophistications. It includes numerous examples and exercises to illustrate key points. The book emphasizes both practical problem solving and a thorough understanding of fundamentals, aiming to realize the complementary relationship between practice and theory. Though the author emphasize wireless radio channels, the fundamentals that are covered are useful to different channels - digital subscriber line, coax, power lines, optical fibers, and even Gigabit serial interconnection.This book is the outgrowth of the author’s hands-on experience in the telecommunication systems industry as a research and development engineer. It is written primarily for practitioners of wireless digital communication systems – engineers and technical leaders and managers – and for digital communication systems in general including new comers like graduate students and upper-division undergraduate students.The material in chapters 5(OFDM), 6(Channel coding), 7(Synchronization) and 8(Transceivers) contains something new, not explicitly available in typical textbooks, and useful in practice. For example, in Chapter 5, all known orthogonal frequency division multiplex signals are formulated based on pulse shape and thus flexible, e.g., unlike currently predominant symbol block transmission, it can be serial transmission. In Chapter 6, we emphasize practical applications of powerful error coding such as LDPC to higher order modulations, fading, and non-linearity problem. In Chapter 7, new digital timing detectors are suggested for small access bandwidth shaping pulse, and a digital quadrature imbalance correction is also included along with digital carrier phase recovery. In Chapter 8, low IF digital image cancelling transceiver is treated in detail so that practical implementation can be readily done with advantages. "

"Many challenges must be faced by thr GOI in developing the program, nowadays the Government of Indonesia (GOI) through Early Childhood Education (ECE) Department has been enhacing early childhood education programs for 0 to 8 year old children. The major challenges are children access to early childhood education services and quality of early childhood education programs. Considering the challenges, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in partnership with Indonesia's Ministry Ministry of National Education is currently implementing a small scale interactive audio instruction (IAI) pilot program targeting 5-6 year olds and their teachers in seven provinces. The program can simultaneously lead activities to kindergarten children and teachers as well as train the teachers, who don't have early childhood education background, and how to create high qualityactivities for children. Because of its' simple technology, the program can be applied in various Indonesia district condition. This paper explores the potential role a simple technology can play in assisting the government meet its early childhood education goals and discusses whether something as commonplace as a CD player or radio, when coupled with a proven education methodology, could present a cost effective way to achieving quality at scale."

"Radio merupakan salah satu sumber informasi dan hiburan yang banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia khususnya oleh pengendara mobil. Kebiasaan pengemudi untuk mendengarkan radio dapat mengakibatkan kecelakaan apabila pengemudi kehilangan konsentrasi saat mengoperasikan radio. Voice user interface pada radio internet dikembangkan pada platform android dengan menggunakan library pocketsphinx. Dengan aplikasi ini pengguna radio dapat mengontrol radio menggunakan perintah suara. Voice user interface pada aplikasi diuji dengan data pengenalan suara oleh dua puluh responden dan didapatkan hasil pada keadaan lingkungan tenang akurasi pocketsphinx sebesar 35,8 pada smartphone oppo dan 59,8 pada smartphone samsung. Selanjutnya pada lingkungan dengan suara radio, akurasi pocketsphinx sebesar 18,3 pada smartphone oppo dan 43,2 pada smartphone samsung. Aplikasi sudah cukup baik karena telah memenuhi enam aspek user experience questionnaire.

Radio is a source of information and entertainment that is widely used by the people of Indonesia, especially by motorists. The driver 39 s habit of listening to the radio can result in an accident if the driver loses his concentration while operating the radio. Voice user interface application on internet radio is developed on android platform using pocketsphinx library. With this application radio users can control the radio using voice commands. Voice user interface on the application is tested with voice recognition data by twenty respondents and the results in the quiet environment, the pocketsphinx accuracy is 35.8 on oppo smartphones and 59.8 on samsung smartphone. Furthermore, in the environment with radio sound, the pocketsphinx accuracy is 18.3 on oppo smartphones and 43.2 on samsung smartphones.
