Dengan menerapkan rencana Ketahanan Perkotaan di Fortitude Valley, tidak diragukan lagi daerah tersebut akan menjadi salah satu bait budaya yang paling kreatif dan inklusif di Brisbane, dengan peluang untuk input budaya dan masyarakat melalui karya seni, desain ruang publik dan pembaruan jalan.
Tujuan utama dari rencana tersebut akan terpelihara dengan baik dan ditingkatkan dengan menyediakan fungsi komersial yang mendukung ke pusat kota dan memastikan keeksistensian warisan budaya daerah.

The growth of Brisbane City economy is required to demonstrate balanced social, economic and environmental outcomes and complement of its neighborhood areas like Fortitude Valley. The outcomes include social, cultural and heritage diversity.
By applying the Urban Resilience plan in Fortitude Valley, the area no doubt will be one of Brisbane’s most creative and inclusive cultural precincts, with opportunities for cultural and community input through artwork, signage, public space design and street furnishing.
The main purposes of the plan will be well-maintained and enhanced by providing both a supportive commercial function to the City Centre and ensuring the cultural heritage of the area.

Resilience, the ability of complex systems to adapt to changing conditions, is a key frontier in ecological research and is especially relevant in creative urban design, as urban areas exemplify complex systems. With something approaching half of the world's population now residing in coastal urban zones, many of which are vulnerable both to floods originating inland and rising sea levels, making urban areas more robust in the face of environmental threats must be a policy ambition of the highest priority. The complexity of urban areas results from their spatial heterogeneity, their intertwined material and energy fluxes, and the integration of social and natural processes. All of these features can be altered by intentional planning and design. The complex, integrated suite of urban structures and processes together affect the adaptive resilience of urban systems, but also presupposes that planners can intervene in positive ways. As examples accumulate of linkage between sustainability and building/​landscape design, such as the Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park and Toronto's Lower Don River area, this book unites the ideas, data, and insights of ecologists and related scientists with those of urban designers. It aims to integrate a formerly atomized dialog to help both disciplines promote urban resilience."

"ABSTRACT
Species diversity and distribution of butterflies (Lepidoptera; Rhopalocera)
of the urban forest of Muhammad Sabki, Jambi were studied from January to
February 2012. The urban forest was divided into four different habitat types: the
Park, the Stream side, the Rubber forest, and the Mixed forest. Two transect
routes were established for each habitat type. Observations were made on the
number of individuals of each species of butterflies found within the transects.
Data were analyzed by Shannon-Wiener, Evenness, and Sorenson indices. A total
of 43 species with 3241 individuals of six families (Hesperiidae, Papilionidae,
Nymphalidae, Lycaenidae, and Riodinidae) of butterflies were recorded.
Nymphalidae was the most dominating family with the highest species richness at
the urban forest. The highest number of butterfly species was recorded at the
Rubber forest and the Stream side (37 species each), followed by the Park (33
species) and the Mixed forest (27 species). The most abundant butterflies were
found at the Rubber Forest, and the least were in the Stream side. Two species
(Eurema hecabe and Mycalesis janardana) were observed consistently at all
habitat types, and the former was the most abundant species. The highest species
diversity and evenness indices were found in the Rubber Forest, while the lowest
were in the Stream Side. Species diversity and evennes indices of butterflies of
the urban forest can be categorized as low and low to moderate respectively.
Based on their similarity indices of species (IS), the community of butterfly of the
urban forest consisted of three communities: the Park, the Stream Side-Rubber
Forest, and the Mixed Forest. The highest IS was found in the Stream Side-
Rubber Forest. Nevertheless, high similarity indices (>0.7) of the butterflies
between communities indicating that the communities of the butterfly had almost
similar species composition, and most species were widely distributed across all
habitat types of the urban forest."

"Kota Depok merupakan bagian dari kawasan aglomerasi metropolitan Jabodetabek dengan risiko banjir yang tinggi dan mengakibatkan lumpuhnya aktivitas perkotaan. Kejadian banjir pada awal tahun 2020 menimbulkan 90 titik banjir yang merupakan kejadian terbanyak dari sebelum-sebelumnya. Kota Depok telah mengadopsi konsep Smart City sejak tahun 2019, dimana di dalamnya terdapat faktor masyarakat cerdas yang ikut memperkuat sistem. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatnya bencana banjir yang mengancam ketahanan kota itu sendiri. Tujuan akhir penelitian ini yaitu untuk menyusun strategi pengelolaan banjir melalui pendekatan partisipasi masyarakat cerdas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode campuran. Hasil riset ini yaitu peran masyarakat dan pemerintah sebagai key actor dalam pengelolaan banjir, hasil riset selanjutnya adalah terdapat hubungan antara partisipasi masyarakat dengan ketahanan masyarakat terhadap banjir. Strategi yang direkomendasikan pada riset ini untuk ketahanan kota terhadap banjir berbasis masyarakat cerdas adalah bersifat agresif pada kuadran 1, yaitu memanfaatkan kekuatan yang ada untuk mengambil peluang sebesar-besarnya. Pada tujuan terakhir, maka disusunlah perancangan prototipe aplikasi yang menggunakan konsep crowdmapping. Pemanfaatan kesediaan masyarakat dalam menyumbangkan informasi akurat mengenai kejadian banjir yang dialaminya secara langsung dapat ditampung pada sebuah wadah berbasis aplikasi ponsel pintar yang berbentuk pelaporan untuk ditindaklanjuti pihak yang berwenang dan sebagai data dan informasi yang terbuka secara publik. Selanjutnya, dengan adanya wadah yang sesuai fungsinya tersebut maka diharapkan dapat menjadi pembelajaran bencana dan dapat meningkatkan perbaikan mitigasi, respons serta pemulihan kota dari bencana banjir yang terjadi.

Depok City is part of the Jabodetabek metropolitan agglomeration area with a high risk of flooding and resulting in the paralysis of urban activities. The flood incident at the beginning of 2020 caused 90 flood points, which was the most occurrence of the previous years. The city of Depok has adopted the Smart City concept since 2019, in which there is a smart community factor that helps strengthen the system. The problem in this study is the increasing flood disaster that threatens the resilience of the city itself. The ultimate goal of this research is to develop a flood management strategy through a smart community participation approach. This study uses a quantitative approach with mixed methods. The results of this research are the role of the community and government as key actors in flood management, the results of further research are that there is a relationship between community participation and community resilience to floods. The strategy recommended in this research for urban resilience to flooding based on intelligent communities is to be aggressive in Quadrant 1, which is to take advantage of existing strengths to take as much opportunity as possible. At the last goal, the design of an application prototype using the crowdmapping concept was compiled. Utilization of the public's willingness to contribute accurate information about the flood events they experienced directly can be accommodated in mobile application which is the form of reporting to be followed up by the authorities and as a publicly open database. Furthermore, with the appropriate container for its function, it is hoped that it can become a disaster lesson and can improve the mitigation, response and recovery of the city from the flood disaster that occurred."
