"ABSTRACT
This research examines the parallels between children's
understanding about economic reality and the nature of
economic information that is available in their
environments. Previous studies» conducted mostly within a
Piagetian's framework» found that children had a restricted
range of accounts about economic reality and this was
attributed by cognitive developmental theorists to the
children’s immature or infantile cognitive structures.
This thesis argues that children acquire understanding about
economic inequality through social transmission. Piaget has
largely neglected the role of social-cultural factors in
children's cognitive development» while Vygotsky emphasises
the social origins of cognition. One set of potential
sources of economic information for children is fairy tales
and reading books. It was hypothesised that economic
information communicated in children's literature was
limited and simplified, and that different cultures were
likely to present different economic ideas. Older and high
SES children were predicted to be more stereotyped in their
reasoning about economic issues because of their presumed
greater exposure to» and familiarity with this literature.
Three cross-cultural studies were carried out in Britain
and Indonesia. In the first study, children aged between 5 to 11 years were interviewed about their understanding of
economic inequality. There was evidence that children's
restricted range of accounts of economic reality was a
reflection of society’s scripts. Analysis of children’s
fairy tales and reading books in the second study revealed
that limited and stereotyped information about economic
reality was presented in this literature. Parallels between
children*s reasoning about economic reality and the economic
information communicated in their books were indicated in
the third study.
The implications of the research findings were discussed in
terms of each culture’s idiosyncrasies and in relation to
Piaget's cognitive developmental theory as well as
Vygotsky* s sociohistorical approach."

"Perkembangan penggunaan media hingga saat ini telah melahirkan sebuah budaya populer, salah satunya meme yang digunakan sebagai media ekspresi yang bersifat jenaka. Akan tetapi, dalam dekade terakhir meme tidak hanya digunakan untuk tujuan komedi, namun juga sebagai pemicu percakapan dengan topik apapun. Beberapa perusahaan kemudian diamati memanfaatkan meme dalam strategi pemasarannya. Tinjauan literatur ini dilakukan untuk menelaah lebih dalam mengenai alasan di balik implementasi meme marketing dalam strategi pemasaran digital dan faktor-faktor yang bisa mendorong kesuksesan meme marketing itu sendiri. Dalam mengkaji sepuluh literatur, ditemukan bahwa implementasi meme marketing yang didasari atas tiga faktor—isi konten, konsumen, dan media—dalam media sosial bisa meningkatkan brand recall dan customer engagement.

The advancement of the usage of media today has given birth to mass popular culture, one of which is the existence of memes that have been used as a humorous medium of self-expression. However, in the last decade, memes have not only been used for comedic purposes, but also used as a trigger for conversation-starters in any kind of topic. Several companies were then observed utilizing memes in their marketing strategies. This literature review was conducted to examine more deeply the reason behind meme marketing implementation as digital marketing strategy and the factors that can elevate the success of meme marketing itself. By reviewing ten sources, it was found that implementing meme marketing based on content-related factors, customer-related factors, and media-related factors in social media can significantly increase brand recall and customer engagement.

"Skripsi ini membahas keunggulan-keunggulan yang dimiliki tiga buku anak seri Robin karya Sjoerd Kuyper yang berhasil memenangkan penghargaan Gouden dan Zilveren Griffel. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis keunggulan ketiga buku dari segi kualitas kesusastraan, dengan mengkaji penokohan, alur, latar, humor, tema dan amanat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keunggulan tiga buku seri Robin tersebut sehingga buku-buku tersebut layak memenangkan penghargaan Gouden dan Zilferen Griffel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiga buku seri Robin tersebut memenuhi kriteria sebagai buku anak yang baik sehingga layak dianugrahi penghargaan Gouden dan Zilveren Griffel.

This Thesis examines the literary quality of Sjoerd Kuyper’s Gouden and Zilveren Griffel awards winning children’s book series Robin. The research method is a qualitative descriptive interpretive. In particular it consisted of a content analysis of three books of Robin series. To be able to find the specific characteristics that made the books of this series win the Gouden and Zilveren Griffel award, aspects such as characters, plot, setting. humor and message are being examined. The outcomes of this research show that the Robin book series complies with all the criteria for good children’s books, thus making it a valid winner of the Gouden and Zilveren Griffel awards."
