"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memperlihatkan hubungan ibu dan anak dalam lirik lagu Elle Me Dit karya Mica Penniman, serta kemunculan konflik dalam lirik lagu tersebut. Penelitian dinalisis menggunakan teori hubungan ibu dan anak Jean Mercer dan teori hubungan antarpribadi Marc dan Dominique Picard serta meninjau makna bahasa yang terbagi ke dalam dua kelompok, yakni makna denotatif dan makna konotatif. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah hilangnya harapan sang ibu terhadap sosok anak yang disebabkan oleh perbedaan pendapat dan perbedaan generasi.ABSTRAKThis research aims to present the relationship between mother and her child in Elle Me Dit song lyric created by Mica Penniman, along with the conflict occurs in the lyric. This research is analysed using the theory of Jean Mercer 39 s mother and child relationship and Marc and Dominique 39 s interpersonal relationships theory, which also examines the essence of language that divided into two categories, denotative and connotative. The result of this research is shown that the vanishment of the mother 39 s hope to her child is caused by disagreement and intergenerational differences."
