"Tesis ini membahas stance presenter dalam presentasi bisnis dengan menggunakan pendekatan teori Linguistik Fungsional Sistemik (LFS). Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, data lisan yang berupa klausa ujaran dalam presentasi Mine Performance Reviewdianalisis dengan menggunakan sistem MOODuntuk menginvestigasi konstruksi mood, residu, dan bagaimana keduanya membentuk stance presenter melalui pilihan leksikogramatikal yang terdapat pada klausa ujaran tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa presenter memposisikan diri sebagai bagian dari tim dan tidak menonjolkan perannya sebagai manajer yang bertanggung jawab terhadap kegiatan operasional tambang.

This thesis discusses presenter's stance in a business presentation using Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) theory approach. By employing a qualitative research method, the data in the form of oral speech clauses in the presentation of Mine Performance Review were analyzed using MOOD system proposed by Halliday and Matthiessen (2004) to investigate the construction of mood, residue, and how they shape the presenter's stance through lexical dan grammatical selections contained in the speech. The results show that the presenter positioned himself as part of the team and did not accentuate his role as the manager responsible for the operational activities of the mine."

"Media massa di zaman modern ini banyak menyajikan artikel berita mancanegara sehingga dapat diakses dengan mudah kapan dan di mana saja. Penerjemahan pun menjadi salah satu cara yang diperlukan agar informasi pada artikel berita tersampaikan dengan baik. Penelitian ini membahas jenis subsistem appraisal dalam artikel opini berbahasa Belanda "Over deze Nederlandse slavernijgeschiedenis hebben we het nooit” dan terjemahannya “Belanda Sembunyikan Sejarah Perbudakan di Indonesia”. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan teori Linguistik Sistemik Fungsional (LSF). Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk menjabarkan appraisal Attitude kedua artikel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan appraisal Attitude teks sumber dan teks sasaran berjumlah sama sebanyak 78 pasang data dengan subsistem Attitude paling dominan, yaitu Judgement sebanyak 64 data (82,05%). Sementara itu terdapat 12 data yang dikategorikan sebagai Appreciation (15,38%) dan 2 data yang dikategorikan sebagai Affect (2,57%). Penulis dan penerjemah cenderung memberikan penilaian perilaku dalam bentuk Moral Judgement negatif secara tersirat (33,33%) mengenai sejarah perbudakan Hindia Belanda yang disembunyikan oleh Belanda. Hasil juga menunjukkan bahwa terjadi pergeseran makna berupa peningkatan dan penurunan Graduation Force dari teks sumber (TSu) ke teks sasaran (TSa).

In this modern era, the mass media presents many foreign news articles that are easily accessible anytime and anywhere. Translation is one way that is needed so that information in news articles is conveyed properly. This study discusses the appraisal subsystem in the Dutch opinion article “Over deze Nederlandse slavernijgeschiedenis hebben we het nooit” and the Indonesian translation “Belanda Sembunyikan Sejarah Perbudakan di Indonesia”. This qualitative descriptive study uses the theory of Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). This study aims to describe the appraisal of Attitude from the two articles. The results showed that the appraisal of Attitude of the source language and target language was the same as many as 78 pairs of data with the most dominant Attitude subsystem, namely Judgement as much as 64 data (82.05%). Meanwhile, there are 12 data categorized as Appreciation (15.38%) and 2 data categorized as Affect (2.57%). The author and translator tend to give behavior assessments in the form of implicitly negative Moral Judgment (33.33%) regarding the history of Dutch East Indies slavery hidden by the Dutch. The results also show that there was a shift in meaning in the form of increasing and decreasing Graduation Force from the source text (SL) to the target text (TL)."

"ABSTRAKBanjir di DKI Jakarta merupakan masalah pelik yang mendatangkan perhatian dari masyarakat dan berbagai pihak, tidak terkecuali dari para gubernur DKI Jakarta dari periode ke periode pemerintahan. Tiap terjadi banjir di DKI Jakarta para gubernur DKI Jakarta dimintai tanggapan. Tanggapan para gubernur DKI Jakarta mengenai banjir yang melanda itu merepresentasikan fenomena banjir di DKI Jakarta. Masalah yang dibahas dalam artikel ini adalah gagasan-gagasan apa saja yang disampaikan oleh para gubernur DKI Jakarta dari periode ke periode kepemimimpinan kepala daerah mengenai banjir di DKI Jakarta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan metafungsi, yaitu fungsi ideasional, interpersonal, dan tekstual, dalam tanggapan gubernur DKI Jakarta terkait banjir yang terjadi di Jakarta. Linguistik fungsional sistemik (systemic functional linguistics) oleh Halliday (2014) menjadi landasan untuk menganalisis representasi tanggapan Gubernur DKI Jakarta terkait bencana banjir yang terjadi di Jakarta. Dengan menerapkan metode kualitatif, data dikumpulkan dari laman Youtube. Selanjutnya, dilakukan transkripsi data secara ortografis. Hasil penelitian dalam tanggapan keempat gubernur adalah penekanan untuk bekerja menangani banjir. Namun, berbeda dalam cara kerjanya. Joko Widodo, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, dan Djarot Saiful Hidayat fokus terhadap hal-hal yang dapat mengurangi banjir, sedangkan Anies Baswedan fokus pada warga sebagai korban dari adanya banjir. Selain itu, terdapat kesinambungan antargagasan pada tanggapan para gubernur. Adanya kesinambungan tersebut karena faktor periode. Gagasan yang disampaikan oleh keempat gubernur mengenai banjir juga sesuai dengan apa yang telah direncanakannya pada awal menjabat.

ABSTRACTThe flood in DKI Jakarta was a complex matter that brought attention from society and various parties, including from the Jakarta government's governors from period to period. As city leaders of DKI Jakarta, they are asked to give responses when flood in DKI Jakarta happens. This research analyzes several responses expressed by the governors of DKI Jakarta from several periods regarding to the flood problem in DKI Jakarta. The purpose of this research is to describe the metafunction aspects of systemic functional linguistics, specifically ideational, interpersonal, and textual functions in the responses of DKI Jakarta governors regarding to the flood problem. Systemic functional linguistics by Halliday (2014) serves as the framework of this research. In addition, this research uses qualitative methods, and the data are collected through Youtube pages. The ortographic data transcription is also included. Furthermore, the finding of this research shows different responses from four governors of DKI Jakarta. Joko Widodo, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, and Djarot Saiful Hidayat focus more on things that can reduce flood, while Anies Baswedan focuses on the victims of flood. In addition, the responses conveyed by the four governors regarding to the flood problem are in accordance with what they had planned from the beginning of their reign.

"Penelitian ini membahas tentang implementasi pengangkatan jabatan fungsional yang meliputi kegiatan analisis jabatan, perencanaan pegawai, rekrutmen dan seleksinya serta menganalisis kesesuaian penetapan jabatan fungsional terhadap tujuan organisasi di kantor pusat Badan Kepegawaian Negara, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan analisis jabatan dan perencanaan kebutuhan pegawai belum dilakukan dengan optimal. Telah dilakukan rekrutmen dan seleksi untuk mengisi jabatan fungsional yang lowong, namun belum berdasarkan kebutuhan pegawai yang ideal. Secara faktual terdapat tujuh jenis jabatan fungsional yang memiliki peran langsung terhadap tujuan organisasi, namun beberapa jenis jabatan tersebut belum berkontribusi dengan baik, jika dilihat dari sisi sumber daya manusianya belum dilakukan perencanaan kebutuhan jabatan fungsional berdasarkan analisis beban kerja, serta sudah dilakukan upaya pengembangan kompetensi untuk para pemangku jabatan di beberapa jenis jabatan fungsionalnya, namun dalam realitanya yang bersangkutan belum dapat bekerja dengan baik sesuai dengan jenis jabatannya.

This research discusses the implementation of functional positions appointment which includes job analysis, employee planning, recruitment and selection and also analyzing the suitability of functional position assignment to organizational goals at national civil service agency headquarter. this research is a qualitative research. The result of the research explains, that the job analysis activity and the requirement planning of the employee have not done optimally, Recruitment and selection have been performed to fill functional positions, but not yet based on ideal employee needs. Factually there are seven types of functional positions that have a direct role to the objectives of the organization, but some types of positions have not contributed well, when viewed from the side of human resources there are not calculation yet in need of employees based on workload analysis and there have been efforts to develop competences, but in reality they can not work properly in their positions."

"ABSTRAKTesis ini mengkaji perilaku kolokasi mata dalam bahasa Indonesia. Setiap bahasa mempunyai kebiasaan masing-masing untuk mengombinasikan sebuah kata dengan kata tertentu secara teratur yang disebut sebagai kolokasi, seperti air mata, pelupuk mata, mata angin, dan mata kuliah. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah korpus Indonesian Web as Corpus IndonesianWac yang terdapat pada aplikasi Sketch Engine. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah gabungan dari metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan linguistik korpus. Kata mata sebagai fokus penelitian ini karena kata tersebut merupakan kata yang bersifat universal dan frekuensi kemunculannya paling tinggi di antara kata yang mengacu pada pancaindra lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kata mata sebagai poros kolokasi dengan kolokat-kolokatnya dapat membentuk 27 pola kolokasional. Pola kolokasional tersebut dapat berjenis pola leksikal dan gramatikal. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa kolokat-kolokat yang bersanding dengan kata mata berada di antara 12 ranah semantis dari pengelompokan 19 ranah semantis dalam Tesaurus Tematis Bahasa Indonesia. Dalam komposisionalitas, kata mata bersanding dengan kolokat kiri pada umumnya menunjukkan tingkat kolokasi komposisional, sedangkan dengan kolokat kanan pada umumnya menunjukkan tingkat kolokasi komposisional terbatas.

ABSTRACTThis thesis evaluated the behaviors of mata eye collocations in Indonesian. Every language has its own patterns to combine a word with other word regularly that is called collocation, e.g. air mata, pelupuk mata, mata angin and mata kuliah. Data resources in this thesis is Indonesian Web as Corpus IndonesianWac which available at Sketch Engine application. The method in this study is combination of qualitative and quantitative method by corpus linguistic approach. This research focuses on the word mata because it is a universal word that has higher frequency of appearance compared to the other words related to the five senses. This study found out that mata as a node of collocation with collocates could form 27 patterns. The collocation patterns can be lexical or grammatical. This study also found that mata collocates consisted of 12 domains among 19 semantic domains in Tesaurus Tematis Bahasa Indonesia The Thematic Thesaurus in Indonesian . In terms of compositionality, the word mata in pair with the left collocates usually indicate the level of compositional collocations while with the right collocates usually indicate the limited level of compositional collocations."
