"Kemajuan teknologi yang diiringi dengan peredaran informasi yang begitu cepat tampaknya belum dapat diiringi dengan kemampuan individu dalam mencari dan menemukan informasi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka. Dibutuhkan kemampuan untuk mencari, menemukan, dan menggunakan informasi dalam mengatasi peredaran informasi yang seringkali membuat kita kesulitan. Skripsi ini membahas tentang kemampuan literasi informasi pustakawan dalam menelusur informasi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna dalam rangka memberikan pelayanan yang maksimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara langsung terhadap pustakawan sebagai narasumber dan observasi langsung di tempat penelitian. Narasumber berjumlah enam orang yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Variabel diukur dengan menggunakan teori model literasi informasi BIG 6. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa coding dari hasil wawancara dengan narasumber. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa pustakawan sekolah tersebut memiliki kemampuan literasi informasi yang mapan sesuai dengan model literasi informasi BIG6 dan mampu memberikan informasi yang sesuai terhadap apa yang dibutuhkan oleh pengguna.

Technological advances accompanied by such rapid information circulation do not seem to be accompanied by the ability of individuals to find and find information that suits their needs. It takes the ability to search, find, and use information in overcoming the circulation of information that often makes us difficult. This thesis discusses the literacy information capability of librarians in tracking the information in accordance with the needs of users in order to provide maximum service. This research uses direct interview method to librarian as resource and direct observation in place of research. Resource persons were six persons selected using purposive sampling technique. The variables were measured using the BIG 6 information literacy model theory. Analysis technique that used in this research is in the form of coding from result of interview with informant. The results of this study prove that the school librarian has a well-established literacy information capabilities in accordance with the BIG6 information literacy model and able to provide appropriate information to what is required by the user."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang literasi informasi mahasiswa internasional pada Program BIPA di Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya Universitas Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 6 orang mahasiswa BIPA yang dipilih dengan metode random sampling untuk diwawancara dengan pertanyaan yang merujuk pada teori literasi informasi Big6 yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menganalisis kemampuan literasi informasi informan dengan 6 tahap Big6 yaitu, definisitugas, strategi penelusuran informasi, lokasi dan akses, penggunaan informasi, sintesis, serta evaluasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa mahasiswa internasional program BIPA di FIB UI melakukan tahapan literasi informasi tanpa mereka sadari untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi yang timbul dari luar perkuliahan yaitu, kebutuhan informasi dasar, informasi tentang pekerjaan masing-masing, informasi tentang perbedaan bahasa kosakata dan informasi tentang hobi masing-masing informan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan literasi informasi setiap mahasiswa BIPA yang dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan Bahasa Indonesia informan, latar belakang kemampuan/pengalaman Bahasa Indonesia informan sebelum tinggal di Indonesia sebelum menjadi mahasiswa BIPA, dan lama tinggal di Indonesia.

This research aims to analyze information literacy skill of Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing BIPA students at Universitas Indonesia in accordance with their foreign language learning need, Bahasa. Einsberg 2004 asserted that information literacy skill is important in foreign language learning. This can be seen from the purpose of foreign language learning comprising of communication, culture, relation, comparison and community which increases the need of information literacy learning to overcome the problems concerning the learning. In order to support the need, the collaboration between information literacy and the use of Bahasa by BIPA students is necessary. Lecture curricula for foreign students would be more up to date if it is adjusted to information need of the students. BIPA students are foreign students who study Indonesian language as their foreign language or it can be called as Indonesian as Foreign Language IFL. Information literacy skill of BIPA students will be analyzed using Big6, consisting of problem defining stage, information finding strategy, location and access, information use, synthesis and evaluation. This research is using qualitative approach with case study method. Data for this research is collected through interviews, observation and literature study. Research informants were 6 six people selected using random sampling. They consisted of two students from South Korea and one student from Slovakia, Japan, Netherland and Vietnam. Most existing researches discuss English as foreign language second language EFL ESL, but no research on information literacy related to Indonesian as foreign language second language. Therefore, this research is going to fill the gap between the previously conducted researches on information literacy related to language skill."

"Skripsi ini menjelaskan tentang proses berkembangnya literasi informasi pada diri pustakawan rujukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode life history yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perkembangan kemampuan literasi informasi dan strategi yang dilakukan untuk mengembangkan literasi informasi tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa proses perkembangan kemampuan literasi informasi pada diri pustakawan rujukan ini terjadi berdasarkan pengalaman hidup, mulai dari masa kecil sampai menjadi seorang pustakawan rujukan. Selain itu, untuk perkembangan literasi informasi sesorang harus memahami konsep literasi informasi agar menjadi pembelajar yang mandiri. Strategi yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan dan menerapkan literasi informasi adalah dengan memiliki penguasaan terhadap hasil olahan dari kemampuan berpikir, sharing, proaktif, dan memberikan pelatihan-pelatihan literasi informasi kepada orang lain.

This undergraduate thesis describes about the development of information literacy within the reference librarian itself. This study uses a life history method to identify the development of information literacy skills and the strategy to develop it. The results suggest that the development process of information literacy skills in self-reference librarian occurred by life experiences, since they were a kid until they become a reference librarian. In addition, to develop their information literacy, they must understand the concept of information literacy in order to be independent learners. The strategy that used to develop and apply information literacy are to have a good understanding toward the result of thinking skills, sharing, being proactive and providing information literacy trainings to others."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang kemampuan literasi informasi mahasiswa tingkat akhir Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Indonesia Banking School. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kemampuan literasi informasi mahasiswa tingkat akhir STIE IBS. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan masih terdapat indikator ACRL Information Literacy Standard for Higher Education yang belum terpenuhi oleh mahasiswa tingkat akhir STIE IBS. Penelitian ini menyarankan STIE IBS untuk mengadakan program pelatihan literasi informasi untuk mahasiswanya.

This paper discusses about information literacy skills of final years students of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Indonesia Banking School (STIE IBS). The purpose of this research is to identify information literacy skill of final years students of STIE IBS and to identify of implementation of information literacy to support their course. This study is a qualitative research using case study design.

The results showed there are indicators of ACRL Information Literacy Standard for Higher Education that has not been met by the final year students of STIE IBS. This study suggests STIE IBS to create information literacy training for students."

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai kemampuan literasi informasi siswa di SMA Negeri 7 Purworejo. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode survei dan kuesioner sebagai instrumen untuk pengumpulan data. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 86 responden. Model yang digunakan sebagai pedoman instrument penelitan adalah The Big6 Skills. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi informasi siswa kelas XI lebih unggul dibanding kemampuan literasi informasi siswa kelas X, dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pelaksanaan program kelas literasi informasi terhadap tingkat kemampuan literasi informasi siswa.

This thesis describes about information literacy skills of students at SMA Negeri 7 Purworejo. This research is a descriptive quantitative approach using survey method and questionnaire as instruments to collect the data. The model used as the instrument research tool is The Big6 Skills. The result of this research shows that the information literacy skills of students in grade XI is better than the students in grade X, so it can be said that the implemention of information literacy class program influenced the level of information literacy skills of the students."

"Penelitian ini membahas tentang literasi informasi jurnalis media online Pandit Football. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana kemampuan para jurnalis dalam menyajikan informasi untuk dikonsumsi oleh para pembacanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Dalam menganalisis kemampuan para jurnalis, penelitian ini menggunakan standar literasi informasi yang dikeluarkan oleh International Federations of Library Association and Institutions IFLA. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa literasi informasi yang dimiliki para jurnalis sudah mampu mendukung masing-masing individu dalam menyelesaikan tugasnya sebagai jurnalis. Para jurnalis Pandit Football sudah mampu mengidentifikasi kebutuhan informasi melalui rapat redaksional yang rutin dilakukan dan menemukan informasi yang dibutuhkan dari berbagai media yang tersedia. Selain itu, para jurnalis mampu menilai informasi dari empat unsur penilaian informasi, yaitu objectivity, relevancy, accuracy dan authority, serta mengorganisasi informasi yang dimiliki. Para jurnalis juga telah menggunakan informasi menjadi suatu artikel yang in-depth sesuai dengan kriteria media Pandit Football. Walaupun begitu, terdapat kemampuan yang perlu ditingkatkan, yaitu kemampuan mengkomunikasikan informasi berdasarkan etika. Hal ini diperlukan karena ada beberapa kegiatan yang dapat menjadi masalah apabila tidak diperhatikan secara cermat, antara lain pengutipan sumber dan komunikasi dengan para pembaca.

This study discusses the information literacy of online media journalist Pandit Football. The purpose of this study is to identify the ability of the journalists in presenting the information that would be consumed by the readers. This research uses qualitative approach with case study method. In analyzing the capabilities of journalists, this study used the information literacy standard issued by the International Federations of Library Association and Institutions IFLA. The results of this study indicates that the information literacy that the journalists have, is able to support each individual in completing his duties as a journalist. The Pandit Football journalists have been able to identify the information needed through their regular editorial meetings and find the required information from the various media available. However, there is a need for enhancing their capability, which is the ability to communicate the information based on ethics. This is necessary because there are some activities that can be problematic if not carefully considered, such as quoting sources and communicating with readers."

"Dengan munculnya media sosial, kesadaran akan hal itu sangat penting. Literasi informasi adalah salah satu konsep yang paling menonjol yang berfokus pada pendekatan kritis terhadap informasi media, khususnya hoax yang menyebar lebih cepat di media sosial daripada kebenaran itu sendiri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi literasi informasi remaja akhir dengan pemaknaan hoax dan pengalaman mereka sebagai pengguna media sosial ketika menghadapi hoax. Dengan demikian, akan diketahui kemampuan atau kendala literasi informasi remaja akhir yang menggunakan media sosial dalam mengurangi risiko penyebaran hoax di media sosial. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Teknik fenomenologis kualitatif analitis digunakan untuk tujuan ini. Pengumpulan data berdasarkan teknik-teknik yang digunakan terdiri dari wawancara individu, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa remaja akhir masih mengasah literasi informasi mereka. Mereka sangat bergantung pada informasi tentang pencarian online dan akun terverifikasi. Remaja akhir disini adalah digital natives sejati, mereka cakap dengan komputer dan internet. Mereka memegang keyakinan bahwa literasi informasi dan kebutuhan media sosial dilihat sebagai membuat penilaian, integritas pribadi, dan pelatihan diri dan pelatihan perilaku keluarga dan teman dekat dalam mengurangi risiko distribusi hoax di media sosial. Para remaja akhir memprioritaskan kebutuhan akan informasi pribadi yang penting, terutama informasi yang berkaitan dengan dunia dewasa, pendidikan, dan kesadaran keuangan / pekerjaan. Tanggapan mereka terhadap hoax bervariasi, mulai dari skeptis hingga bahkan tidak peduli. Remaja akhir memaknai bersama hoax sebagai bentuk informasi yang negatif. Berkat belajar dari pengalaman dan literasi informasi yang dimiliki, mereka dapat mengenali beragam faktor yang dapat menimbulkan hoax di media sosial. Remaja akhir yang aktif memainkan media sosial di dalam penelitian ini, telah memiliki kecerdasan atau kemampuan berpikir, bersikap secara adaptif dan objektif, termasuk juga kemampuan mempertimbangkan, menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan menyelesaikan persoalan hoax di media sosial dan literasi informasi yang di rasa efektif untuk mereka walaupun sikap kritis untuk hoax pada diri remaja akhir masih perlu ditingkatkan.

With the advent of social media, awareness of social media is very important. Information literacy is one of the most prominent concepts that focuses on critical approaches to media information, especially hoaxes that spread faster on social media than truth itself. The purpose of this study was to identify information literacy of youths with the meaning of hoaxes and their experience as social media users when facing hoaxes. Thus, it will be known the ability or constraints of information literacy of youths who use social media in reducing the risk of spreading hoaxes on social media. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive design. Analytical qualitative phenomenological techniques are used for this purpose. Data collection techniques consists of individual interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results show that youths are still honing their information literacy. They rely heavily on information about online searches and verified accounts. The youth here is true digital natives, they are capable of using computers and the internet. They hold the belief that information literacy and social media needs are seen as making judgments, personal integrity, and self training and training family behavior and close friends in reducing the risk of hoax distribution on social media. Youths prioritize the need for important personal information, especially information relating to the adult world, education, and financial work awareness. Their response to hoaxes varies, from skeptics to not even caring. They interpret hoax together as a form of negative information. Thanks to learning from the experience and information literacy they have, they can recognize various factors that can cause hoaxes on social media. Youths who actively play social media in this study, have the intelligence or ability to think, behave in an adaptive and objective manner, including the ability to consider, analyze, evaluate, and resolve hoaxes on social media and information literacy which is felt effective for them although the critical attitude for hoaxes inside themselves still needs to be improved."

"Skripsi ini membahas kemampuan literasi informasi guru di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 7 Jakarta (MAN 7 Jakarta). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kemampuan literasi informasi guru dalam menunjang proses mengajar yang selanjutnya, mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam pencarian, pengelolaan dan mengevaluasi informasi, serta mengetahui peran perpustakaan sekolah dan pimpinan dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi guru. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa guru memiliki kemampuan literasi informasi yang memadai namun masih perlu ditingkatkan dan dikembangkan; Di samping itu, kendala-kendala yang dihadapi adalah dalam proses pencarian informasi dan perpustakaan sekolah belum banyak berperan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi guru. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menyarankan kepala sekolah agar mendukung dan memfasilitasi para guru untuk meningkatkan dan mengembangkan kemampuan literasi informasi serta kemampuan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi untuk menunjang proses mengajar selanjutnya, kepala sekolah dan perpustakan sekolah perlu melakukan pengadaan koleksi perpustakaan sekolah terutama koleksi buku penunjang untuk guru agar mereka dapat mengembangkan wawasan dan pengetahuan yang dimiliki.

This paper discusses the information literacy skills of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 7 Jakarta (MAN7 Jakarta). This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. The purpose of this research is to know the ability of information literacy support teachers in teaching process further, identify obstacles faced by teachers in the process of information searching, information management and information evaluation, as well as to know the role of the school library and school leaders in fulfilling the information needs of teachers.

The results of this research show that teachers already have sufficient information literacy skills however, their information literacy skills need to be improved and developed further; Addtionally, there are some obstacles such as in information retrieval process and lack of supports from the school library in meeting the information needs of teachers.

The research suggests that the principal support and facilitate the teachers in improving and developing their information literacy skills, as well as improving the ability to use information technology to support the teaching process. It is also suggested that the principal and the school libray need to develop and procure school library collections, specifically the supporting book/material collection for teachers so that they can develop their insights and knowledge further."

"Skripsi ini membahas kemampuan literasi informasi pemustaka di Perpustakaan Universitas Bina Nusantara Kampus Anggrek. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat kemampuan literasi informasi pemustaka dan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara variabel bebas dengan kemampuan literasi pemustaka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei menggunakan kuesioner yang disebar ke 100 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi informasi pemustaka tergolong baik berdasarkan indikator-indikator standar kompetensi literasi informasi perguruan tinggi dari ACRL namun masih ada beberapa kekurangan. Kemampuan literasi pemustaka juga dipengaruhi oleh frekuensi kunjungan ke perpustakaan dan tingkat semester pemustaka.

This research describes about information literacy skills of users at Binus University Library. The purpose of this research is to identify information literacy skills of users and to detect the correlation between independent variable and the information literacy skills of users. This research has descriptive-quantitative approach with survey method by using questionnaire which is applied to 100 respondents.

The results show that the information literacy of users is considered as good, based on Information Literacy Standards for Higher Education?s indicators (ACRL). However, this study also show that there were some drawbacks and obstacles in some items. Few items of Information literacy skills of users were influenced by user?s visiting frequency to library and their level of semester."

"Skripsi ini membahas mengenai kemampuan literasi informasi para peneliti di Lembaga Swadaya Masyarakat Perkumpulan Keluarga Berencana Indonesia PKBI Pusat . Salah satu permasalahan yang ada yaitu walaupun sistem perpustakaan di PKBI Pusat belum berjalan dengan baik,namun pada kenyataannya PKBI Pusat terus berperan aktif dalam melakukan penyuluhan dan memberikan informasi mengenai kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi. Oleh karena itu, penulis membahas tentang kemampuan literasi informasi peneliti PKBI Pusat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendapatkan pemahaman, mengetahui, dan mendekripsikan kemampuan literasi informasi para peneliti PKBI Pusat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi dengan mengacu pada model Empowering Eight. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peneliti memenuhi seluruh tahapan yang ditetapkan oleh model Empowering Eight meskipun tidak memenuhi seluruh indikator yang ada.

This undergraduate thesis discusses about information literacy skills of the researchers in Lembaga Swadaya Masyarakat Perkumpulan Keluarga Berencana Indonesia Pusat PKBI Pusat . One of the issues is that the PKBI Pusat library rsquo s system has not been operated properly yet. However, PKBI Pusat always actively gives counseling and information about Sexual and Reproductive Health. Therefore, the writer analyzes the information literacy skills of the researchers. The purpose of this research is to know, to be able to describe, and to get the in depth understanding of the researchers rsquo information literacy in fulfilling the information needs by referring to the model called Empowering Eight. The type of this research is a qualitative research with descriptive approach. The result of this research shows that the researchers of PKBI Pusat have implemented all stages of the Empowering Eight model even though they have not fulfilled all of the available indicators yet."
