"The implementation of acceleration program for the gifted students was problematic and has been dismissed by Indonesian Government in 2014. 240 first year students from three high schools in Jakarta participated in this study. The study focused on the social environment that is projected in accelerated and regular classrooms. Type of Classrooms is associated with Accelerated learning. Path analysis model was used to develop the relationships between latent and manifest variables. This study employed PLSPA TH program to analyse the data. The results showed accelerated learning is positively related to Self Regulated Learning in Biology but there is only a very weak relation in Mathematics. Accelerated learning positively and marginally related to SeIf Efficacy in Biology, but negatively and marginally related to Mathematics SeIfthcacy. "Written by well-known sociologists John D. DeLamater, Daniel J. Myers, and Jessica L. Collett, this fully revised and updated edition of Social Psychology is a highly accessible and engaging exploration of the question what is it that makes us who we are? Grounded in the latest contemporary research, the book also explains the methods in which social psychologists investigate human behavior in a social context and the theoretical perspectives that ground the discipline. With hundreds of real-world examples, figures, tables, and photographs, the text explores such topics as self, attitudes, social influence, emotions, interpersonal attraction and relationships, collective behavior, and personality. Each chapter is designed to be a self-contained unit for ease of use in any classroom, beginning with focal questions that establish the issues being discussed and ending with a summary of key points, a list of key terms and concepts, and critical thinking questions."

This study examined the relationship between academic achievement and father involvement among junior high school students. Academic achievement was measured by students’ official school records, whereas the father involvement was measured by the Father Involvement Scale (Reported) (Finley & Schwartz, 2004). The participants of this study were 263 8th grade junior high school students who have a father and encompassing the age between 13 and 15 years old.
The result of this study indicates that there is no significant relationship between academic achievement and father involvement among junior high school students (r = -.026; n = 263; p > 0,05, two-tailed). Furthermore, although the result of the study indicates no significant relationship between father involvement and academic achievement among junior high school students, but it does not mean that father does not have any role at all in student’s academic achievement, because during that period, adolescents still need father involvement in order to support the optimum academic achievement in their school.
