"ABSTRAKThe Butler 2013 adalah sebuah film drama sejarah yang menceritakan tentang kehidupan Cecil, seorang pelayan yang bekerja di White House. Film ini menceritakan hubungan benci dan cinta antara Cecil dan Louis tentang Gerakan Hak-Hak Sipil yang ada di masyarakat mereka. Film ini bisa digunakan untuk sumber analisis untuk memahami Arti Tempat dan Sosial Kapital. Sudah banyak ahli yang mendiskusikan film ini dari perspektif rasisme dan stereotip terhadap orang Afrika-Amerika dalam film ini, namun belum ada penelitian yang menganalisa isu dari hubungan ayah dan anak antara Cecil dan Louis. Dengan menggunakan teori Identitas dari Hall, dan Sosial Kapital milik Bourdieu, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa bagaimana pengaruh dari rasisme dan ketidaksetaraan terhadap hubungan ayah dan anak dari Cecil dan Louis mempengaruhi kehidupan sosial mereka.

ABSTRACTThe Butler is a historical drama movie which tells about the life of a long-term White House butler,Cecil. This movie explores the love and hate relationship between Cecil and Louis regarding theCivil Rights Movement in their society. This 2013 movie can be used to analyze and understanddifferent meanings of place and social capital. While there are scholars who have discussed thefilm from the perspective of racism and stereotypes towards African-Americans in the film, thereis no research that analyzes the issue of father-son relationship in relation to place, racism andinequalities. This article aims to analyze how the issues of racism and inequalities affects Ceciland Louis rsquo; father and son relationship and their social life. With Hall rsquo;s rsquo; ldquo;identity rdquo; concept andBourdieu rsquo;s ldquo;social capital rdquo;, this article concludes that different subject positions in supportingthe Civil Rights Movement may result in a father and son personal relationship. These differencesare caused by different ways in interpreting the South and the North, different social relations,and different ways in solving the racial inequalities."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat apakah ada hubungan antara keterlibatan ayah dengan autonomy pada remaja akhir. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur keterlibatan ayah adalah Nurturant Fathering Scale (NFS) dan Father Involvement Scale (FIS) dari Finley dan Schwartz (2004). Sementara instrumen untuk mengukur autonomy adalah Adolescent Autonomy Questionnaire (AAQ) dari Noom, Dekovic dan Meeus (2001). Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 109 orang yang berusia 17 - 21 tahun dan tinggal bersama dengan orangtua. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tidak adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara keterlibatan ayah dengan autonomy pada remaja akhir (r = 0.036, p>0.05; r = 0.025, p>0.05; r = 0.038, p>0.05).

The purpose of this study is to examine and find out whether there is a relationship between father involvement and autonomy in late adolescent. This study used two measurement tools which are Nurturant Fathering Scale (NFS) and Father Involvement Scale (FIS) by Finley and Schwartz (2004) to measure father involvement and Adolescent Autonomy Questionnaire (AAQ) by Noom, Dekovic and Meeus (2001) to measure autonomy. The subject of this research consisted of 109 student with age 17 - 21 years old and live together with their parents. The results of this study showed no significance relationship between father involvement and autonomy in late adolescent (r = 0.036, p>0.05; r = 0.025, p>0.05; r = 0.038, p>0.05)."

"ABSTRAKTesis ini menunjukkan penggambaran rasisme oleh sutradara Lee Daniels dalam film The Butler (2013). Penulisan tesis ini dilakukan untuk menunjukkan penggambaran rasisme, yang disertai sikap prejudis, dan perilaku diskriminasi terhadap kelompok kulit hitam Amerika sesuai dengan konteks film The Butler(2013) yang mengambil konteks waktu 1920-an sampai 1960-an. Saya sebagai penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan memakai Auteur Theory, analisis mise-en-scene, dan thick description, kemudian saya memperlakukan film sebagai teks yang kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan adegan dan dialog dalam film tersebut. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sesuai dengan konteks film The Butler, rasisme yang disertai prejudis dan diskriminasi terhadap kaum kelompok kulit hitam terjadi karena ada stereotipe budak yang menegaskan status kulit hitam sebagai inferior, dan kulit putih, yang menjunjung konsep white supremacy, sebagai superior. Lee Daniels melalui film The Butler(2013), seakan ingin menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan publik maupun aturan pemerintah yang mengatur tentang hak-hak sipil warga negara maupun perbudakan masih dirasa kurang untuk mengekang atau menghapus rasisme terhadap masyarakat kulit hitam Amerika. Film ini seakan merupakan respon dari Lee Daniels, walaupun Barack Husein Obama Jr. terpilih sebagai presiden Amerika dari keturunan kulit, rasisme terhadap kaum kulit hitam Amerika masih tetap ada. Di sisi lain, film ini juga menunjukkan bahwa profesionalisme dan etos kerja serta sikap dari seorang butler kulit hitam mampu merubah stigma negatif yang disematkan terhadap masyarakat Afrika-Amerika. Serta untuk menjembatani perbedaan serta hubungan antar ras tersebut diperlukan adanya kesepahaman atau Cross Cultural Understanding antar ras maupun budaya yang berbeda.

ABSTRACT

This study is intended to expose the portrayal of racism shown by producer Lee Daniels within The Butler(2013). The objectives of this study are to show the depiction of racism, which are followed by prejudice and discrimination towards black Americans based on context-relationship with The Butler(2013) during 1920s until 1960s. I, as a writer used a qualitative method with auteur theory, mise-en-scene and thick description, thus those theories were utilised to analyse shots and dialogs in the movie. Based on The Butler(2013), this study show that racism, which were followed by prejudice and discrimination towards blacks, emerged caused by slave-stereotyping which stressed blacks as inferior and whites that uphold white-supremacy concept, as superior. Apparently that through The Butler, Lee Daniels wants to highlight that public policies or government laws which regulate citizens? civil rights and slavery are not adequate to restrain or eradicate racism towards blacks American. This movie also might perceived as the response from its? director, Lee Daniels, even though Barack Husein Obama Jr. was elected as the first African-American Presiden of the United States, racism towards blacks America still exist. On the other hand, this movie also shows that hard-work and professional work-ethic and positive attitude from a butler is considered able to alter the negative stigma possessed by African-American. Hence, to overcome the differences and intercultural relations Cross Cultural Understanding is pivotal key which act as a link among different races or cultures."

"ABSTRAKUntuk kembali mempermasalahkan ras, representasi ras dalam serial televisi Amerika telah mengalami perkembangan. Dalam kaitannya dengan hal tersebut, artikel ini membahas tentang salah satu serial komedi Disney, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody 2005-2007 yang menggambarkan keberagaman ras dalam kehidupan multikultural Amerika dan menyajikan gambaran kompleks kaum minoritas melalui karakternya. Dengan melakukan analisis karakter terhadap London Tipton menggunakan konsep colorblind racism dan buddy formula, artikel ini bertujuan membahas kompleksitas dan implikasi dari representasi colorblind. Dalam artikel ini ditemukan bahwa representasi colorblind pada perempuan Asia-Amerika tidak mengurangi masalah, dan berindikasi pada rasisme juga memelihara keistimewaan ras kulit putih.

ABSTRACTIn an attempt to re problematize racial issues, many American television series have evolved in terms of their racial representation. This includes Disney Channel rsquo;s early 2000s sitcom The Suite Life of Zack and Cody 2005-2007 which projects racial diversity in the discourse of American multiculturalism. The series provides a complex and problematic portrayal of the racial minority groups through some of the characters, including the Asian-American female main character, London Tipton. By conducting a textual analysis and focusing on character analysis of London Tipton using Bonilla-Silva rsquo;s framework of colorblind racism and Artz rsquo;s interracial buddy formula, this article aims to examine the complexity and the implications of the colorblind representation of an Asian-American female in a television series. Research findings reveal that rather than reducing the problematic portrayal of Asian or Asian-American females, the colorblind representation through London Tipton rsquo;s characterization reveals the subtle racism towards them as well as the preservation of white superiority and hegemony."

"ABSTRAKJurnal ini membahas relasi seorang anak tokoh utama dan ayah dalam film Oorlogswinter 2008 . Film diangkat dari buku dengan judul sama, berkisah tentang seorang anak Belanda yang hidup di masa Perang Dunia II dan harus berhadapan dengan ayah yang berbeda prinsip dengannya. Konflik yang dihadapi sang anak bukan hanya dengan ayah, tetapi juga tentara Jerman dan pamannya. Berbagai konflik itu masing-masing ditunjukkan dengan pemanfaatan teknik sinematografi yang berbeda. Pembahasan relasi ayah dan anak dan konflik-konflik yang ada dalam film ini dilakukan dengan analisis struktur, fokalisasi dan sinematografi.

ABSTRACTThis journal analyzes the relationship between son main character and father in the movie Oorlogswinter 2008 . The film is adapted from a book with the same title which tells a story of a dutch boy who lives in the time of World War II and has to deal with his father who has different principles from him. The child also has conflicts with the German army and his own uncle. Each of the conflicts is shown through specific cinematography techniques. Analysis of the relation of father and son and other conflicts in the movie are conducted with structure, focalization and cinematography analysis."

"Penelitian mengenai kualitas attachment dengan kemandirian sebelumnya masih sedikit yang memisahkan antara attachment ibu-anak dengan attachment ayah-anak. Pada studi ini, attachment orangtua dipisahkan menjadi attachment ibu-anak dan ayah-anak. Sampel pada studi ini adalah remaja akhir yang berusia 18-21 tahun di kota Depok (N=103). Responden diminta untuk mengisi kuesioner yang mengukur attachment ibu-anak dan ayah-anak serta kemandirian. Attachment ibu-anak dan ayah-anak diukur melalui adaptasi alat ukur Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised (IPPA-R) dan kemandirian diukur melalui adaptasi alat ukur Adolescence Autonomy Questionnaire. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan attachmen ibu-anak memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kemandiran, sedangkan attachment ayah-anak tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kemandirian.

There's not many studies that distinguish parent attachment as mother-child and father-child attachment in connection with autonomy. In this study, parent attachment has been separated into mother-child and father-child attachment. The samples of this study is late adolescents between 18 and 21 years old, who lives in Depok (N=103). Respondents are asked to fill the questionnaires which measures mother-child attachment, father-child attachment and autonomy. Mother-child attachment and father-child attachment were measured with adaptation version of Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised (IPPA-R) and autonomy were measured with adaptation version of Adolescence Autonomy Questionnaire. This study found that mother-child attachment correlates significantly with autonomy, while father-child attachment didn’t correlates significantly with autonomy."

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan aspek afektif Interaksi ayah memiliki hubungan dengan kecemasan lampiran (r = -0,129, p <0,01, dua sisi) tetapi tidak memiliki hubungan dengan menghindari keterikatan. Kemudian Ditemukan bahwa perilaku interaksi ayah tidak berhubungan kecemasan atau menghindari keterikatan.

This study aims to examine the relationship between father-adult interactions with new adults who are in romantic relationships. Father's involvement has two aspects, namely affective aspects and behavioral aspects. The affective aspect of the father's interaction uses the Nurturant Fathering Scale (NFS), while the behavioral aspects of the father's interaction are measured using the Father's Involvement Scale (FIS). Both are measuring tools developed by Finley and Schwartz (2004). Adult attachment has two dimensions, namely the dimensions of anxiety and avoidance. To measure both dimensions of adult attachment, it is used to measure Experience in the form of Close-Short Relations (ECR-S) by Wei, Russell, Mallinckrodt, and Vogel (2007). A total of 551 respondents in this study. The results of this study indicated that the affective aspect of the father's interaction had a relationship with attachment anxiety (r = -0.129, p <0.01, both sides) but had no relationship with attachment avoidance. Later it was found that the father's interaction behavior was not related to anxiety or attachment avoidance."

"Rendahnya keterlibatan ayah merupakan situasi yang mengkhawatirkan mengingat pentingnya keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan anak, khususnya anak pada masa kanak-kanak awal (3-6 tahun). Salah satu faktor yang diduga dapat memengaruhi keterlibatan ayah adalah maternal gatekeeping. Maternal gatekeeping didefinisikan sebagai perilaku ibu yang memfasilitasi, membatasi, dan mengontrol ayah, baik ketika mereka berinteraksi dengan anak atau bahkan sebelum dan sesudah terlibat dengan anak. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah maternal gatekeeping dapat memprediksi keterlibatan ayah. Secara khusus, penelitian ini akan melihat kontribusi dimensi-dimensi maternal gatekeeping sebagai prediktor keterlibatan ayah, yaitu dimensi encouragement, discouragement, dan control. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 94 ayah yang berumur 28-49 tahun dan memiliki anak berumur 3-6 tahun. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Inventory of Father Involvement dan The Maternal Gatekeeping Scale yang disebar secara online melalui Google Form. Hasil penelitian menggunakan analisis Multiple Linear Regression menunjukkan bahwa sumbangan pengaruh tiga dimensi maternal gatekeeping secara bersama-sama terhadap keterlibatan ayah adalah sebesar 28.7%. Selain itu, hasil analisis kontribusi setiap dimensi maternal gatekeeping terhadap keterlibatan ayah menemukan bahwa perilaku ibu yang memfasilitasi (dimensi encouragement) memprediksi tingkat keterlibatan ayah, sedangkan dimensi discouragement dan control tidak.

The low of father involvement is a concerning situation given the importance of their involvement in childcare, particularly during early childhood (3-6 years). One suspected factor that might influence father involvement is maternal gatekeeping. Maternal gatekeeping refers to a mother's behavior that either facilitates, restricts, or controls the father's interactions with the child, even before and after they engage with the child. Therefore, this study aims to investigate whether maternal gatekeeping can predict father involvement. Specifically, the research will examine the contributions of dimensions of maternal gatekeeping, encouragement, discouragement, and control, as predictors of father involvement. The participants of this study were 94 fathers aged 20-50 years who had children aged 3-6 years. The measures used in this study were the Inventory of Father Involvement and The Maternal Gatekeeping Scale, distributed online through Google Form. The results of the study using Multiple Linear Regression analysis showed that the three dimensions of maternal gatekeeping collectively accounted for 28.7% of the variance in father involvement. Furthermore, the analysis indicates that facilitative behavior from mothers (encouragement) predicts the level of father involvement, meanwhile discouragement and control did not."

"Pada masa lampau mengasuh anak hanya dianggap sebagai tugas ibu. Selama abad ke-20, ayah didorong untuk terlibat. Pada akhir tahun 1970 ayah mendapat julukan new nurturant father, yang artinya ayah terlibat secara aktif dalam kehidupan anak. Hal itu juga terlihat dari cukup banyaknya gerakan ayah yang muncul di masyarakat. Data dikumpulkan secara daring dalam jaringan dan luring luar jaringan. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 120 orang ayah yang memiliki anak usia 0-24 bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara parenting knowledge dan keterlibatan ayah r = 0.082, p > 0.05. Artinya semakin tinggi parenting knowledge tidak diikuti dengan semakin tinggi keterlibatan ayah.

For a long time, parenting seemed to be a maternal task. Throughout the 20th century, fathers were urged to be involved. In the late 1970s fathers called as lsquo lsquo new nurturant father, rsquo rsquo who played an active role in his childrens lives. Moreover, nowadays many father movements appear in society. This research was conducted to find the relationship between parenting knowledge and the involvement of first time fathers of an infant. Father 39 s parenting knowledge was measured with Knowledge of Infant Inventory KIDI, which was created by MacPhee 1981 and father rsquo s involvement was measured with The Inventory of Father Involvement, which was created by Hawkins, Palkovitz, Christiansen, and Call 2002. The number of participants in this research was 120 first time fathers who have an infant aged between 0 24 months. The result of this research showed that there is no significant correlation between parenting knowledge and father involvement r 0.082, p 0.05 . Thus, the higher the level of parenting knowledge of the father, not followed by the high level of father involvement."

"Skripsi ini membahas kedudukan ayah kandung sebagai pemegang hak asuh anak pasca perceraian ditinjau dari Hukum Kekeluargaan Islam dan Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 1974. Hukum Islam dan Kompilasi Hukum Islam menetapkan jika terjadi perceraian, ibu lebih berhak memperoleh hak asuh anak, sedangkan Undang-Undang Perkawinan tidak mengatur siapa yang lebih berhak memperoleh hak asuh anak, namun mengatur bahwa harus tetap memperhatikan kepentingan terbaik anak. Kemudian, bagaimanakah kedudukan seorang ayah kandung dalam memperoleh hak asuh anak pasca perceraian jika ditinjau dari Hukum Kekeluargaan Islam dan Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 1974.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode penelitian kepustakaan dengan data sekunder yang bersifat yuridis normatif yaitu penelitian yang mengacu pada norma hukum yang berlaku dalam hukum Islam, peraturan perundang-undangan dan norma-norma yang mengikat dalam kehidupan masyarakat.Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa walaupun ibu mempunyai kedudukan yang lebih diutamakan sebagai penerima hak asuh anak, namun ayah kandung dapat memperoleh hak asuh anak apabila ibu tidak dapat memenuhi syarat sebagai penerima hak asuh anak.

This research focuses on the position of the biological father to child custody after divorce in terms of Islamic Family Law and Law Number 1 Year 1974. Islamic Law and Islamic Law Compilation regulate that in case of divorce, a mother has preferred position to custody the child, while the Marriage Act does not regulate who has more right to custody the child, but favorably consider the best interests of the child. Then, what is the position of father to obtain child custody after divorce the terms of Islamic Family Law and Law Number 1 Year 1974.

The research method used in this paper is a method of research literature with a secondary data of juridical normative research that refers to the legal norms applicable in Islamic law, regulations and norms that living in the society.

From this study it can be concluded that although the mother has a preferred position to child custody, but the father can obtain custody of the child if the child's mother can not qualify to be a proper bearer of child custody."
